Chapter 1043: Chapter 1043: Everyone Feels Apprehensive_1

Although Alexander Summers’s skin was thick, the words he said always came true.

Purple Summers also felt that time flew by whenever she was with him, even if they were just sticking close to each other in bed, an entire afternoon would go by without them noticing.

Alexander spent an entire week with her in Kingsley before he had to go to Pearlpoint again.

Purple thought they barely had enough days together, but when he wasn’t around, time seemed to drag on endlessly.

Compared to other long-distance couples who rarely met, they were already doing quite well. At least, Alexander would visit her often, staying for three to five days each time. Still, this amount of time was not enough for newlyweds.

Purple began to look forward to the Winter break arriving sooner.

She thought she was eager, but someone was even more impatient than her.

As soon as December started, Jane McCain called her, asking Purple to spend Christmas together.

"Have you gone mad? It’s only the first day of the month!" Purple said, laughing and crying.

"Time flies," Jane defended stoutly, "Besides, if I don’t make plans with you early, what if you guys already have your own plans?"

Purple indeed had her plans.

"I’m going to Pearlpoint for Christmas. I probably won’t be returning to Clearwater..." Purple said apologetically.

Jane immediately suggested, "That’s no problem. We don’t know where to go for fun anyway, so we can go to Pearlpoint City for Christmas."

Purple’s eyes lit up when she heard that; it was indeed a good idea.

"Is Zara going, too?" Purple asked excitedly, "If that’s the case, I’ll return to Clearwater to meet you guys first, and then we can take the yacht together to Pearlpoint!"

Purple’s yacht hadn’t had a chance to be put to use, and this was the perfect opportunity to entertain friends and also take the yacht to Pearlpoint. She wouldn’t have many chances to return to Clearwater later on, so the yacht would be pointless to keep there.

Jane was thrilled and repeatedly agreed.

Jane loved gatherings and lively atmospheres, but because of recent events in her life, she became cautious of many people, preferring to socialize with just a few close friends. Unfortunately, those close friends were all busy with school or studies, even the usually carefree Ryan Wesley had become very busy of late.

Since Christmas was coming up, they could finally gather together.

...

The festive spirit was spreading everywhere, large Christmas trees were set up early in the streets, and although undecorated, their shapes were already evident.

The Judicial Training Institute was also getting decorated, with the groundsmen hanging colorful lights on the trees across the campus. Posters for the campus Christmas ball were posted all around, filling the air with excitement and festivity.

As Purple walked into the classroom, she heard her classmates discussing their Christmas plans, everyone beaming with delight. She found herself inadvertently caught in the enthusiasm and her mood lifted.

A few students approached, both male and female, asking Purple if she wanted to attend the school’s Christmas ball.

"I won’t be in Kingsley during those days," Purple declined with a smile, "I’ll only return to school after New Year’s Day."

"Why come back for New Year’s Day?" one of the female classmates said laughing, "We plan to have our fun and then start our winter break. We won’t bother coming back for the last few days."

"I have to come to collect my school report," Purple replied with a laugh.

Everyone laughed together: "It’s mainly to see Mrs. Morrison, right?"

The grades could be checked online on the campus website, but some included handwritten end-of-term comments, which required personally visiting the teachers to get them, like those from Victoria Morrison.

Everyone dreaded meeting with Mrs. Morrison.

While they were talking, Norton Young walked into the classroom, and they asked him if he wanted to join the Christmas ball as well. frёewebηovel.cѳm

Norton apparently had no date that day, and he seemed eager yet timidly hesitant: "But I don’t know how to dance..."

"Who cares about not knowing how to dance, it’s just about having fun, making noise, and eating!" the students egged him on.

Another girl chimed in with a laugh, "We still need a Santa for the Christmas ball. Norton, do you want to be our Santa?"

"Norton would make such an adorable Santa!"

"Yeah, Norton is our class mascot after all!"

Norton, embarrassed, rubbed the back of his head, his face turning red again.
