Chapter 275: Only I love her

Our warrior gang had done a good job in hiding the truth from the Fae King for the past two days for the sake of his health. But the first thing that was done by Prince Darius once he came to the palace was meeting up with the Fae Kingโ€”and telling him the bad news. Why did the Prince have to do this?

The Fae King was shocked when he heard the bad news. He clenched the wooden table next to him and tried to brace himself steadily. Oh my! He is going to fall sick again. The only good thing is that we have Prince Darius with us. Even if the King falls sick, Darius will do the deed of running the Kingdom.

"My son," the King said in a gloomy tone. "Why did you have to come here without Celestia? You should have rescued her tooโ€”"

The Prince got tensed. "But father, that trickster Silver Shadow forced me to leave the island in a feeble raft. The weather was bad tooโ€”and I doubted if I would make it till the end or not. Even if I had rescued Celestia from there, I doubt if I could have rowed the raft and bought her back here safelyโ€”"

"But you did survive, didnโ€™t you?" The Fae King crossed him.

The Prince let out a sigh. "I am sorry to say this, father. But I think that you are not happy to see me at all! You seem to be more concerned about Celestia than rejoicing that I am still aliveโ€”"

"Yes, I am more worried about her than you," he shouted. "What is the worst that the trickster could do to you? It is nothing when compared to what Celestia is going through with that trickster. Do you understand what I am trying to say here?"

"Yes, father," the Prince hung his head. "But the worst had already happened, fatherโ€”"

The Fae King turned pale. "What.... what are you saying?"

The Prince glared directly at the Fae Kingโ€™s pale blue eyes and said, "Celestia has lost her purity to that trickster again. She is his sex slave nowโ€”"

I wanted to scream at the Prince and tell him to shut his damn mouth. Why would he keep on saying the truth openly? This is going to destroy the King! Just like I expected, the King was traumatized by the news.

He was about to fall down on the floor, but he clenched the wooden table again for balance and braced himself. "I lost my daughter again...," he cried.

My heart got crushed when I saw tears in his eyes. I had only one person to blame for thisโ€”and it was his son. I glared at him to see his reaction. He didnโ€™t seem to be sad that his father was in distress. The Prince was watching his father sob with a smirk on his lips.

"Why would he ruin my daughter again?" the King kept on sobbing while his son was smirking at him. "She sacrificed her life and reincarnated after a thousand years only to get tainted by that trickster again?"

I didnโ€™t know what to do. Should I have to convince the mighty king who was now sobbing, or should I have to confront the Prince who was relishing his fatherโ€™s sobbing?! What is wrong with the Prince today?! He usually never says things that hurt or traumatize his father!

Soon the mighty king stumbled and fell upon the floor. "I..... want my daughter back....," he whispered before he completely blacked out.

The Prince continued to smirk at his father even after he was unconscious. I was petrified! What the hell is going on here? He should be now calling out the healer Faes to treat his father. Instead, he was laughing sadistically at his fatherโ€™s condition.

"Call Lord Aeson," I shouted at Ember, who was standing frozen next to me. She nodded and ran out of the room.

Only after that did the Prince turn to me and say, "That was great, wasnโ€™t it?"

That was great?! I shuddered and turned behind me to see the reactions of others. But there was no one else in the room except the Prince and me. The rest of them must have gone to fetch the Lord Aeson here!

The expression of the Prince turned dark immediately. He frowned viciously and said," Now I am the one who is in charge of this Kingdom. So all of you are obligated to listen to me. Do you understand?"

I swallowed in fear and said, "Yes... yes... your grace!"

"Good," he smiled, and his expression got normal. "I have my eye on you, Edwin! And I also have my ears everywhere here. If you try to rat me out to anyone, then I will know about it."

"But Darius...," I blurted.

"Call me your majesty," he demanded. "I am not your petty friend anymore. I am the acting King now since my old man is sick. Do you understand?"

"Yes, your majesty," I bowed down to him.

"Good," he smiled again. "And if you ever think of Celestia in your mind, I will hear it! Once I do, I will rip off your brain into piecesโ€”"

Every part of my body shuddered. Why does the Prince not want me to think about Celestia? And how does he even know that I love Celestia?!

The Prince grabbed my throat immediately and pinned me to the wall behind me. "Donโ€™t ever think about loving Celestia again! Because you donโ€™t love her at all. Only I love her...."

Only after that did I realize that he is not our Prince Darius. He is Silver Shadow! He was disguised as the Prince and got into the castle. Now everything makes sense to me! He said the bad news to the King at once as he wanted him to break down!

"You are so smart," he smirked. "You figured out everything! Now I dare you to fantasize about Celestia again! I so want to kill you now and get done with youโ€”"

I shivered. "I am sorry, your highness! I will never ever think about the Dawn again."

He let go of my throat after that. I tried hard to keep my mind blank. I can control my mind! I can control myself; I have to, or else I am dead!
