Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 238: He truly loves me

Celestia’s POV:

I was so much dazed that no words came out of my mouth even when I tried hard to say something; I just kept on staring at his alluring green eyes without blinking.

He gave me a dimpled smile before he leaned down and pressed his lips with mine. At that moment, I didn’t feel any hatred for him. All I felt was jitters and ecstasy as his lips continued to trace mine.

He grabbed my waist and made me collide over his body. I gasped a little and clung on to his body—while he pulled me in for a deeper kiss. My hands caressed his silvery-white wings when his lips were parting mine.

After a while, he sucked my lower lip and gently bit me there. I winced and opened my eyes. He still hasn’t changed; this is how he used to kiss me before.

Through my peripheral vision, I noticed Ivory staring at us in utter bitterness and disgust. She hasn’t changed too; she is still jealous of me.

Our lips finally had to part—but still, he had his arm over my waist. "My love," he said in a whisper. "So you are coming with me—"

Then I started to think with my head. He is asking me to come with him! My mind thought about everything that happened thousand years ago. Those painful memories gave me so much anxiety that even the warmth of his embrace was not giving me solace anymore.

"It’s just that....." I paused and tried to think of words. "I.. I.. can’t...."

I went completely mute after that. This is something that I never anticipated. My actual plan was to attack him once he appeared before me. But now, my feelings have changed.

"Celestia," he said after I stammered for more than a minute. "You don’t have to say anything to me; I know what is going on in your mind. You are thinking that reuniting with me is not going to end well, isn’t it?"

I just nodded as my heart started to pound harder.

"But my love, I never gave you a choice! I said that you are coming with me—and it means that you are definitely coming with me even if you want or not—"

His tone got intense as he said that, and I was stunned.

"Celestia, you are surrounded by imposters now. Everyone around you is filling your head with lies about me. And Oberon will definitely use you as sacrificing lamp again when a crisis occurs."

For a brief moment, his eyes went red and turned back to green again. "And my love, I definitely can’t... lose... you... ever again. I will do everything and anything to protect you. So you are coming with me—"

Then he finally moved away from me and turned to Ivory, who seemed to be pissed off.

"Ivory, You take her to Selene now. I will be back soon!"

"But Theo, what are you going to do now? If you are thinking about attacking Lilin, then please change your mind—"

"You just stay out of this," he snapped at her. "And do what I said. Take Celestia to our realm before one of the Fae warriors spot her."

After that, he disappeared into thin air as white fumes. Only after he left did I realize that he gave me no choice. He told me that I was obligated to reunite with him.

And he also said that Father Oberon is going to use me as a sacrifice again. That was a lie! Is he trying to manipulate me again?! But he just now saved my dignity. This is very confusing!

Ivory came near me and held my hand. Her grip on my hand was so harsh. "Quit overthinking and just come with me, blondie—"

I was offended that she called me blondie. Still, I didn’t argue with her as I was already dazed. She dragged me away from the stream and took me back into the darkness of the wood.

I didn’t feel very comfortable while walking along with the mean girl. Her steps were so much faster than mine, and I wasn’t able to keep up with her pace—as I was already exhausted.

She dug her little sharp nails deeper into my skin and made me scream. "What is wrong with you?" I cried out.

"Stop annoying me, blondie! And try to move your legs faster. You are the lamest vampire ever in all three realms," she lashed out.

Now I was offended! Why is she mean to me for no reason?!

Then she halted on her tracks and turned to me. Even though the surrounding around me was dark, I was able to sense that she was frowning at me.

"Listen carefully, blondie. I will not take you to Selene now; I am aiding you in getting back to your land. All I want you to do is to quit whining and just follow me. Can you do that or not?"

She took me by surprise! "So you are not going to take me to Selene?" I gasped. "But... but.... he told you to...."

"Yes! I am going against Theo now to help you. But if you keep on acting like a confused and pathetic damsel in distress, then I might change my mind. Do you understand?!"

I was shocked. Why would Ivory want to help me?! She hates me, after all.

"I do hate you, blondie! But I also can’t let you reunite with Theo. It will lead to endless chaos in all three realms. You two are never meant to be with each other—"

What she said is true. Me reuniting with him will cause destruction. I had to sacrifice myself to regain the trust of Father Oberon and my people. If I reunite with Theo, then I will lose everything that I have gained so far.

"Exactly," she replied as she read my thought. "You are the Dawn, and you have a purpose to fulfill. But Theo is just infatuated with you; he thinks that he can share your burden and help you. The truth is that no one can fulfill your duties other than you—"

"I agree with you," I sighed. "Only I can fulfill my purpose—"

"And that’s why you have to erase off every little feeling that you have for Theo and focus on your duties. Listen to your father and be loyal to your people. But never fall back into this dangerous pit called love—if you do, then you will suffer the same fate like last time—"

Ivory was just saying out all the fears that I had buried in my mind. I definitely don’t want to suffer the same fate as last time. I have to do the right thing by going back to my land. Still, my heart wasn’t able to accept this. It doesn’t matter anyway—listening to the heart always ends up in destruction.

I took a deep breath and said, "Thank you so much for aiding me, Ivory! I will never forget your help."

"Now stop making me uncomfortable," she yelled. "Just follow me now and don’t even dare to say to anyone else that I was the one who let you escape."

"Okay," I replied politely, even though she was yelling at me.

After that, I quietly followed her into the darkness while wondering how she was walking in the woods as if it was daytime. Perhaps the Sirens have the potential to see through the darkness.

Soon, we both reached the spot from where I got lost. Ember was seated dazed on the ground next to Edwin, who was lying unconscious on the ground. Other than that, there was no one else around. I immediately ran over there and crouched down on the ground beside the unconscious Edwin.

Ember was lit up when she saw me. "Celestia, you are back! I was worried about you. Those creatures of lust defeated us both and went out to hunt for you. I thought they would have gotten you too—"

"They almost got me, but I was rescued by Silver Shadow," I declared and focused my gaze on Edwin, who was slowly opening his eyes after hearing my voice.

"What? Silver Shadow saved you?!" Ember shouted out and looked up at Ivory. "And is that a Siren standing behind you? What is happening here?!"

"I will explain that to you later. Now we have to get back to the castle before Silver Shadow tries to get me—"

Ember blinked at me rapidly and blurted out, "Just now, you said that Silver Shadow rescued you. Now you say that he is trying to get you. Is he your ally or enemy?!"

I hesitated to give her a reply because even I have had that question since my past life—to which I still don’t have an answer. One thing I know for sure is that he truly loves me.

Edwin got up from the ground slowly and looked at me. "Celestia, I am really sorry for letting you down. I tried hard but-"

"Oh, come on! Go back to your damn land now without procrastinating anymore," Ivory yelled at all of us.

"Fine, we are leaving now—" Edwin responded to her and opened a portal with his flames.

Perhaps Ivory’s intention is not to help me; she wants to get rid of me. It works for me either way!
