Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 208: When ex-lovers clash

Theo’s POV:

I shook off the guilty feeling from my heart and glared at Lilin. I was not even mad at her anymore. All my anger was now directed towards Oberon. He shrewdly played the game by hitting me where it would hurt me the most!

"And that is why we both have to join hands to defeat Oberon," Lilin said.

Still, I wasn’t able to figure out what her true motive was. I don’t think that she just wants to destroy Oberon alone. Her quest must be more than that.

"Okay, Lilin. Now tell me how exactly Oberon betrayed your mother?"

I asked her that question just to know if Oberon is really her target or not.

"Oberon made two promises to my mother. One was that he would kill the Dawn—but instead, he sacrificed her and strengthened the force of light. And the other promise was that he would offer ten Faes every year to join the Shadow forces—which he never did."

This is a huge revelation! If the Highlanders ever get to know about this, then Oberon’s name would be tainted forever. I should work on bringing out this truth to everyone else.

"And that is why my mother wants to destroy Oberon. She never forgives the people who use her for their personal gain and betrays her," she said.

Whatever Lilin said now is the truth. Oberon did use Lilin to distract me! But I don’t think that the Demon Queen is looking for revenge here. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

It has been a thousand years since that happened. Lilith was silent for this long, and now she suddenly wants revenge? This is not believable. Lilin’s quest is something else. If I ask her more questions, then probably I will find out about that.

"Okay, Lilin. Now tell me what deal you want to make with me?"

"Well, I will help you in winning back Celestia—and the Shadow creatures will offer you full support in your pathway of seizing the throne of the light realm."

This sounds huge to me! Demon Queen Lilith must be a fool even to let her daughter make such deals with me.

"And in return, when you become the King, you should agree to send us a portion of the Highland Faes to get converted as the Shadow creatures."

Finally, I found out what her strategy was. She wants to strengthen the Shadow forces! That is why she is making such a deal with me! Still, there must be even more motives than this.

"And I promise that the Shadow creatures would never try to attack you or Celestia," she added.

That is a lie! Her target is also to destroy Celestia—I know that for sure. The Shadow creatures have been targeting Celestia ever since she was fed with Angel’s blood.

What could scare the dark forces more than an Angel warrior who could slay them in an instant? But I will never let anything happen to my Angel! I will find a way to protect my Angel even if everyone in all the three realms is against her.

At that moment, Ivory got in the chamber and eyed Lilin. "Theo, what on Selene’s name is she doing here?" she shouted.

It is never pleasant when two of your ex-lovers meet. Both of my ex-lovers were seated opposite to me on the wooden chairs. This is an awkward situation for me!

Ivory never liked Lilin. She hated Lilin more than she disliked Celestia. When I was with Lilin for a brief period, Ivory refused to even speak with me. Only after I broke up with her did Ivory speak with me again.

Ivory was glancing coldly towards Lilin, which made me even more uncomfortable. For the first time in my life, I thanked the almighty that Celestia was not here with me.

What will she think when she sees me with both of my past lady lovers? She would probably get furious and claw my neck with her sharp nails.

But it is not my fault that I had so many lovers in the past—as I clearly didn’t know what love was. I thought that it was just a carnal desire. Only after I met Celestia, I got to know what love is. It is something that gives us heavenly pleasure and deadly pain at the same time.

It took me a while to explain everything about Lilin’s deal to Ivory. She quietly listened to me without reacting much.

"Theo, you must be an idiot even to accept her deal! She is definitely going to backstab you again," Ivory said after I ended my explanation.

"This time, she is not going to betray me, Ivory. Because we both have a common goal of destroying Oberon."

Ivory frowned at me. When did she get so dim enough not to understand my game? Whatever, I will have to deal with her later.

Then I shifted my eyes on Lilin and said, "Since you are on my team now, I need you to propose a strategy in which I can be able to stop the coronation from happening."

"Whoa! That is so easy," Lilin exclaimed and placed a dazzling blue stone on the dining table. It is the freaking moonstone!

I stole it from the cave in Highlands, and that is when I first saw my love. I will never forget that day—I was so dazed by her that I didn’t sleep for the next seven days. It took me a while to slowly come out of the haziness and do my regular deeds.

I took the glossy moonstone in my hand and stared at it for a while. So Lilin was able to enter the light realm because she had this stone with her!

Then I gazed at Lilin and said, "I can’t believe that you would give this stone to me."

"I am not actually giving this to you—but I am loaning you this. All you have to do is take this stone near Celestia, and the coronation ceremony will automatically get ruined. She will never be crowned as the princess—"

That is an amazing strategy! But Ivory seemed confused. She probably didn’t get it. I will have to explain this to her later.
