Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 179: Ritual to the Moon Goddess

Amelia’s POV:

Only after Theo and Ivory vanished from my living room did I realize the trouble ahead of me. They just left me alone! Who is now going to face the Siren Queen?

My head started to spin as I thought about the Queen. She instructed Ivory and me to prevent Theo from leaving the island. Instead, we both aided him by stealing the dead rocks from the mountains.

Maybe I can leave out the dead rocks part while I confess to the Siren Queen. But she is shrewd! She would definitely catch it when I bluff. Oh my Goddess Selene! Why does Theo have to be stubborn?

Perhaps I shouldn’t confess anything to her at all. If I don’t step out of my home, then it is not like she will barge into my place and confront me! She will get the message about Theo through any other means.

I sat down on the wooden chair and quietly glared at Tangerine’s cage. I was almost jealous of her as she was sleeping peacefully in her cage while I was nervous.

At that moment, I heard a faint knock on my door. I jolted up to my feet in shock. It must be the Queen! She is here to confront me. What am I going to do now? If I don’t answer the door, then the Queen won’t be happy about it.

It is better to face her now and accept the punishment that she is going to give me. I slowly twisted the knob of my door and opened it.

I breathed out in relief when I saw that it was just Peach. She is my neighbor who lives next to my cottage. Peach was dressed in an elegant blue gown, and her long hair was braided elegantly.

"You look beautiful," I complimented her.

She was happy by my compliment and flashed a warm smile. "Thank you so much, Amelia! And why aren’t you ready for the ritual yet?"

"Ritual? Is it going to be a full moon tonight?"

She rolled her eyes in surprise and answered, "Yes, it is! And you are not aware of that?" 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

I was horrified by myself! Never once have I forgotten about the ritual that is dedicated to the Moon Goddess on the full moon night.

Theo is the reason for this! He tormented me so much for the past few days that I almost forgot that today there is a ritual to attend.

I peeked up at the twilight sky above me. The ritual is going to begin soon! I must get ready now.

"Thank you for informing me about it! You go ahead. I will be there soon," I announced to her and hurried to my room.

"Don’t keep us all waiting! You are the gifted Siren, and you need to stand in the front lines. The ritual won’t even begin without you," she said before she left.

I opened my closet door and got changed into a blue gown. The Siren Queen instructs all of the girls to wear a blue dress during the ceremony.

The main objective of this ritual is to honor the Moon Goddess who has blessed the Selene Kingdom generously. If the Goddess is pleased by our ritual, then she bestows us with even more glory.

After I got dressed in a blue gown and braided my strawberry blonde hair, I hurried to the door. I froze on my steps when I realized that the Siren Queen is going to be there too! She is going to organize the ritual.

Now I have no other choice except to confess everything to her!

The Moon Goddess was shining brighter than ever in the starry sky. She made the whole seashore bright with her silver rays.

A large circle was carved in the sand, and white seashells were placed on the circle. All the Siren girls were gathered at the seashore, and they were standing around the circle.

They all were dressed in a blue gown like me, and they had their white feathery wings spread out. Under the silver light of the moon, the girls appeared gorgeous like Angels!

The four gifted Sirens stood closer to the edges of the circle. The rest of the Siren girls were standing behind us. If Theo was here, then he was supposed to stand in the center of this circle along with the Siren Queen.

Unfortunately, he is not present here. At least he could have left the island after this ritual! He was in such a hurry to meet his lady love Celestia who probably dislikes him now.

All the girls were anticipating the arrival of the Siren Queen. I hope that she doesn’t ask me about Theo and Ivory before the ritual ends. I want this ritual to happen peacefully.

Very soon, a haze emerged in the center of the circle. Then a divinely gorgeous lady with white wings and a blue crystal crown on her head emerged from the haze.

Everyone was awed at her loveliness. Her blue gown was so long enough to cover the entire craved circle on the sand. Her fabric was designed with sparkling stones that radiated the bright moonlight and almost made us blind.

She let her long silver-blonde hair down that it almost touched the ground. I wondered why our hairs don’t grow long like hers. I want my hair to touch the ground too!

The rest of the Siren girls might be pretty like an Angel. But no one can match the gorgeousness of Cynthia! She is a Goddess, while the rest of them are just Angels.

Once there was a rumor on the island that she is the Goddess Selene! I almost believed the rumor as it sounded true to me. But the Siren Queen was highly offended by the story that she hunted for the person who started it and chastised them.

The Siren Queen looked around the crowd and finally fixed her alluring blue eyes on me.

"Where are Theo and Ivory?" she questioned me.
