Chapter 381: Chapter 381 - Gwyndelle’s Garden of War

Atlas stood silent for a moment, watching the sight of Dullorak hovering high above the island, orchestrating the chaos that unfolded below. The rain poured down in heavy torrents from the sky. Not just rain, but waves of water twisting into violent tornadoes that swept across the battlefield, swallowing the fires and explosions in their path.

Floods of water, as if drawn from the depths of the ocean itself, surged downward, crashing mercilessly against the enemy troops scattered across the island. The soldiers struggled to hold their ground as the powerful currents drenched and battered them from every direction.

Dullorak now fought using only one of his heads - the only one capable of fully harnessing the element of water. Because of that, he poured every ounce of his power into this single element, unleashing its full destructive force.

Yet from Atlas’s perspective, this decision carried its own risks. Yes, it greatly increased Gwyndelle’s chances of victory in this defensive battle. However, it also meant that all of Atlas’s elite subordinates and forces participating in this event were temporarily bound under Gwyndelle’s command.

It was a strategic gamble, one that reduced Atlas’s personal strength for the sake of the alliance’s collective power. But Atlas wasn’t aiming to win just his own island. He intended to secure victory for every single lord within his alliance.

Even more remarkable was Luna, whom Atlas had deliberately excluded from the main lineup. He had other plans for her. Her unique system ability allowed her to empower any lords and their elite subordinates across every battle in the event.

Here, Luna would become the hidden force moving from the shadows. A silent presence that would grant immense strength to every engagement they fought.

Atlas had a very clear target in mind.

He stared intently at Bolin as the enemy forces below were swallowed by the roaring storm and the massive tornadoes tearing through the island.

Atlas would win every single battle in this event, no matter what it took. And he was absolutely determined to make it happen!

From the massive screens, the scene shifted rapidly, showing the chaos unfolding below. The enemy troops were being swallowed by torrents of water and raging tornadoes, their bodies hurled against the massive trees surrounding them.

At that very moment, the defensive plants, the Guardian Plants, began to reveal their presence across the battlefield. Enormous vines burst from the forest floor, whipping through the air and coiling tightly around enemy soldiers, dragging them away from their comrades.

Elsewhere, hundreds - no, thousands, of explosive seeds detonated, releasing a thick poisonous mist that spread across the area. The enemies caught within it staggered and faltered, their senses dulled and disoriented.

Then came the strike of the massive trunks, sharp and fast as spears, piercing through the soldiers’ armor and impaling their hearts with brutal precision.

In the midst of the chaos, Gwyndelle’s troops finally made their move. They were warriors perfectly attuned to the forest, blending seamlessly with the trees, their camouflage flawless. They moved swiftly between the shadows, emerging just long enough to drive their spears through the enemy before vanishing again into the dense foliage.

What unfolded on the screen was nothing short of a massacre. The army that had once held the advantage in a fire-based environment was now being annihilated in a forest strengthened by water and nature’s fury.

In only a matter of moments, the enemy’s casualties had already climbed into the hundreds.

Atlas turned his gaze toward Bolin, whose face had grown tense as he stared at the screen. His expression flickered between barely contained rage and a burning determination - as if he was already planning how to utterly destroy Atlas in the battles to come.

Was it frustration from watching his seemingly perfect strategy crumble before him? Or perhaps his plan had been far too predictable from the start?

Because now, it was undeniable - the Gwyndelle team had achieved a flawless victory in this first battle, not a single casualty among their ranks.

Atlas and the others watched in silence as the images on the screen showed the enemy troops being mercilessly crushed, their numbers dwindling at alarming speed. The slaughter continued for several minutes, and the surviving forces found themselves trapped, unable to escape the confines of the massive dome that sealed the island.

Would Bolin’s forces surrender to stop the bloodshed?

No. They fought on stubbornly until, at last, the battle came to its inevitable end.

[Victory for Gwyndelle!]

[Gwyndelle has successfully defended her island, annihilating over 70% of the enemy forces and executing the opposing Offense Lord.]

[A decisive triumph for the Vanguard Dominion Alliance.]

[Reward: +25 Rank Points granted to the alliance.]

[Initial Battle Score: Recorded and updated.]

The system message appeared clearly across the screen and in the vision of everyone standing there.

Atlas watched as the enemy’s floating island began to collapse rapidly from all sides, disintegrating into fragments of light. At the same time, Gwyndelle’s island expanded like a shifting puzzle of land pieces forming from the void, slowly growing even larger than before.

Bolin turned his gaze back toward Atlas, a thin smile curling on his lips.

"I see you went all out, even in the first battle, huh?" he said. "But I doubt you actually think you can keep this up forever, do you? I have more than twice the number of lords you do, Atlas!"

Bolin then reached toward the virtual table and picked up another shining coin representing his chosen lord for the next battle. Without a word, he flicked it toward the area where Atlas had already placed his defensive lineup.

[Bolin has chosen Xun Qiang to face Variel from the Vanguard Dominion Alliance in the defense position.]

Bolin smirked once more, clearly confident in his choice.

But Atlas only mirrored that expression, a faint smirk of his own forming as he saw Bolin’s selection. Once again, Bolin had chosen a target with one of the lowest system ability ranks within Atlas’s lineup.

Variel’s system ability was Soul Ward. When her subordinates fell, fragments of their spirits briefly manifested as ethereal guardians, shielding nearby allies before fading away.

It was a remarkably strong defensive ability. But it also revealed the harsh reality behind it. For Variel’s power to truly awaken, her soldiers had to fall first.

The question now was... how would Variel withstand Bolin’s next assault?
