Chapter 361: Chapter 361 - Magnetic Step

Atlas managed to trigger a newly unlocked skill again, once more in a moment of extreme desperation. It truly felt like this was always the most effective way whenever he was pushed to the limit with no other option but to create a new skill, and this time he succeeded again.

[Elite - Magnetic Step (Active Skill) activated.]

Once more the magnetic step formed and Atlas sprang toward it.

His foothold failed!

The skill activation happened too fast and it faded too quickly.

Again!

[Elite - Magnetic Step (Active Skill) activated.]

A massive lightning strike shot toward him the moment he burst through the air at high speed. This was all thanks to the item he was using, which boosted his mobility and made his leaps so powerful.

Atlas moved through the air with flexible motion again after he managed to use the skill. Even so, he still could not use it effectively because the momentum needed to create the foothold had to match the exact moment he stepped on it.

But he knew that in moments like this his brain cells raced faster and stronger, letting him adapt. He had to.

He shot through the air with fierce speed, twisting between the storm and the lightning.

In the distance, Atlas saw the monster that Kurogasa and Dullorak were trying to restrain and control. Smaller monsters around them kept attacking anything that moved toward the Alpha.

A chance!

The Alpha had just released a devastating spell and its lightning density was thinning. In that moment, suddenly, it felt as if time paused for a breath. An explosion erupted.

KRAKOOM RAVABOOM!

Atlas was thrown through the air as the massive blast from Serenith’s skill struck the center of the battlefield, followed by a towering mushroom-shaped explosion that seemed to shake the earth itself.

It was the attack Serenith was meant to unleash at the exact moment the monster’s elemental shield weakened. And Serenith carried out that task perfectly.

Atlas, who had been flung through the air, crashed far across the field. Even so, he pushed himself up and started running again, launching back into the air.

The monster that had taken the massive explosion still stood firm, and now its body was cloaked in lightning energy that looked even thicker and denser than before. A rain of lightning scattered wildly around them, its destructive force clear in every strike.

Atlas swallowed hard and forced himself to focus again.

The monster was not unaffected by Serenith’s blast. It was hit, but it had entered its second phase, and it was clear that it was beginning to release even more brutal skills.

Atlas had to think. He needed a way to deal damage. If he kept running around like this, he would not contribute anything to the battle.

He had his spear skills, but most of them were Lightning Element, which would not be effective and would only waste his Mana and Stamina if he used them.

There were also neutral skills without lightning, but those were close range. Atlas would have to gamble his life if he tried to land a close-range attack. It was a terrible choice.

His only hope was the twelve Earth Crystals that were still rotating steadily around his body. He needed to use all of them to create something powerful enough to deliver a huge amount of damage.

Serenith could deal another heavy blow later when the chance came, but Atlas needed to deliver the finishing move to bring this monster down and end it.

Atlas focused on the twelve crystals in his possession. If he wanted to deliver massive damage, he had to combine all twelve of them and create the most effective strike to kill the monster.

The easiest way to destroy the creature would be to target its core. If the core broke, it would surely die afterward.

But he could not do that. Atlas needed the monster’s core. He had to keep it intact so it could be harvested once they defeated the creature.

He kept running, launching himself forward with speed as bolts of lightning crashed around him. He had to stay focused and keep thinking even while dodging nonstop.

He charged Mana and Magnetic Earth energy into his hands, and the twelve crystals spun wildly around them.

If he could condense the Mana and direct it fully into those twelve crystals, condense it very tightly, then throw them at the monster, it should deal a huge amount of damage.

Atlas clenched his teeth. Golden lightning flickered around his body. He had instinctively activated his lightning again. He could not use lightning, because it would taint the purity of the Earth element damage he was trying to form.

The twelve crystals moved and spun in chaos between his hands. He tried to press the energy down while his arms trembled hard. It was incredibly heavy. He was forcing himself with every bit of strength he had, because the motion of the twelve crystals felt wild and untamed.

He let out a loud shout, teeth grinding, and Atlas moved completely on instinct.

Atlas cast Magnetic Step wildly to keep himself in the air. He had to catch the perfect moment. He needed to deliver this attack right after Serenith launched her next strike.

Only at that moment would the monster’s lightning shield be at its thinnest, and only then could he deal the most optimal damage.

Atlas felt the muscles in his arms tearing, and the overwhelming force of the Magnetic Earth energy pushed back against him as he tried to control the twelve crystals that resisted every attempt to bind them together with such intense focus.

He clenched his teeth hard as his arms felt as if they were ripping apart.

He shot forward again while the twelve crystals formed a wild golden vortex between his palms.

The monster let out a roaring bellow as it unleashed a barrage of raining lightning in every direction. This was the moment.

NOW!

A massive KATOOM blast echoed from above as a blinding light cannon attack struck the monster.

Explosions followed one after another.

KRAKOOM BATTABOOOM BOOM BOOM!

But Atlas focused every cell in his body.

[Elite - Magnetic Step (Active Skill) activated.]

He stepped on the magnetic foothold and shot forward at high speed toward the center of the explosion. This was the moment Atlas had to deliver the finishing damage.

He pushed through the shockwaves that slammed against him, forcing his way toward the monster. He needed to be right in front of it to land this attack.

In an instant, Atlas was face to face with the giant creature, which opened its mouth to fire another attack. He tightened his grip on the Magnetic Earth crystal sphere, ready to strike.

But the monster opened wider and a massive energy ball formed quickly inside its jaws. If that hit Atlas directly, he would take a fatal blow.

Suddenly, something shot in a swift arc. A chain blade wrapped around the monster’s jaw and snapped it shut. It was Kurogasa.

Dozens of crystal attacks followed and hammered the monster’s body from another direction.

This was the chance.

Atlas hurled the Magnetic Earth crystal straight at the enemy!
