Chapter 729: Chapter 729: A Complete Makeover

James Grant slightly frowned and sat up straight.

"What do you mean?" ๐š๐ซ๐šŽ๐—ฒ๐•จ๐ž๐›๐•Ÿ๐š˜๐ฏ๐šŽ๐—น.๐•”๐จ๐—บ

Keith Donovan chuckled and said, "I came to Aethelburg to keep you company! Itโ€™s cold here, and youโ€™re not having much luck, so of course, I have to help you."

James understood the deeper meaning in Keithโ€™s words, his tone becoming a bit cooler, "You found out?"

"Tristan and I both know." Keith made no attempt to hide it, "We used some little tricks, donโ€™t ask how exactly! You just need to know that Iโ€™m here to back you up!"

James sneered lightly and said, "What kind of backup can you give me? Youโ€™d better go back."

Though he said that, James couldnโ€™t help but spring into action.

Half an hour later, James arrived at the airport.

Soon, James picked up Keith.

"Whoa, is it really this cold here?"

Keith sneezed several times as soon as he got in the car, "Itโ€™s way too cold, I thought a few hoodies would be enough!"

"This is the north, not Riversend." James glanced at him, seeing Keith wearing a thin trench coat, almost useless against the cold.

Keith rubbed his hands, taking a while to warm up, "Then you have to prepare clothes for me, take good care of me, or who will be your backup?"

Speaking of backup, James frowned, "What exactly are you here for?"

"To help you," Keith said seriously, "Itโ€™s not easy to pursue your wife, huh?"

Upon hearing this, James realized Keith and Tristan probably knew most of whatโ€™s going on in Aethelburg.

He slightly narrowed his eyes, his tone dangerous, "How exactly did you find out? Who told you?"

Seeing James was getting serious, Keith quickly confessed the truth.

"...Donโ€™t blame Quentin either," Keith turned serious, "He saw how bad youโ€™re doing and asked me to come over to persuade you. You know me, Iโ€™m a big mouth, canโ€™t keep things to myself..."

James didnโ€™t bother to respond to him.

Keith hurriedly promised, "Donโ€™t worry, Tristan and I wonโ€™t tell a third person, absolute secrecy!"

James shot him a cold look, "Arenโ€™t you a big mouth?"

"I wonโ€™t spill to outsiders. Otherwise, how have we been brothers all these years?" Keith laughed, "Now, whatโ€™s the exact situation, tell your buddy? Have you really found Evelyn Clayton?"

Over the phone, Quentin only told Keith that James found Evelyn Clayton here, but she still hadnโ€™t agreed to anything, so James was stuck here.

Regarding the child and the Sinclair Familyโ€™s situation, Quentin dared not say a word.

As long as Keith was here, whether to tell him was up to James.

James had already mentally calculated how much to deduct from Quentinโ€™s salary, replying indifferently, "Why ask if you already know?"

"Itโ€™s just surprising! Honestly, I always thought Miss Clayton was surely dead." Keith clicked his tongue in amazement, "I never expected itโ€™d still be her, not only alive but completely changed."

After saying this, Keith realized he might have been a bit impolite.

He coughed lightly, looking at Jamesโ€™s slightly gloomy face, "So, what stage is your relationship with her at now?"

What stage?

A self-deprecating smile flashed in Jamesโ€™s eyes.

To speak of any stage, there has to be a relationship first.

Between them, thereโ€™s nothing left, and he shouldnโ€™t entertain any fantasies.
