Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk-Chapter 811: I Must Be Having a Nightmare
After the kiss ended, Jasper Sinclair pulled the breathless woman into his embrace, his fingertips playing with the ends of her hair.
"Are you sleepy?"
In this situation, Nora Northwood could only answer that she was very sleepy; otherwise, she wouldn’t be able to control what might happen next.
Jasper lowered his gaze to look at her, but he couldn’t see her eyes, only a small fan-shaped shadow beneath her eyelids.
"If you’re sleepy, then go to sleep."
This time, it was Nora’s turn to be suspicious; was he really letting her off so easily?
This was totally unlike Jasper’s usual style.
So she became even more convinced that something must be wrong with Jasper’s health!
Nora quietly kept this matter in mind, planning to take Jasper to the hospital for a full check-up.
But she really was sleepy, unable to control her yawning, her eyelids drooping continuously.
Soon after, the room was filled with a steady breathing sound.
Once Nora fell asleep, Jasper found himself utterly bored.
However, he didn’t rush to close his eyes.
Once he triple-checked that the person beside him was fast asleep, he tiptoed out of bed.
At the door, he gently closed it behind him.
In a place where no one could hear, Jasper dialed an unlisted number.
Night had fallen deep, and it took a long time before the call was answered.
"Director Sinclair."
The voice on the other end was respectful, clearly recognizing that Jasper was not someone to offend.
Jasper spoke softly into the receiver: "For this period of time, keep an eye on Peach Bell, and don’t let her go where she shouldn’t. It’s for her safety, and for your and the Jacobs Family’s future."
There was a deafening silence for half a minute before a response came: "I understand your intentions. I’ll take good care of my sister and won’t cause trouble for you and your wife."
"As long as you understand."
Understanding the times is the key to success, and Liam Jacobs understood this better than anyone else.
Jasper felt pleased by Liam’s insight, saving him from much potential trouble.
The necessary advice had been given.
After the call ended, Jasper returned to bed, finally closing his eyes with relief.
Since he chose Nora, he would put all his effort into maintaining this marriage.
As he thought about it, Jasper suddenly realized one problem: why, after being married for so long, did they still not have a child?
This question troubled him until late into the night, keeping him awake.
At the same time, a storm raged outside, thunder rolling and lightning flashing, rain pouring down.
Nora was awakened by the noise of rain hitting the window, unconsciously snuggling closer to Jasper.
As soon as she moved, her sharp senses immediately noticed Jasper was still awake.
Instantly, she asked aloud, "Why aren’t you sleeping yet?"
Her voice was drowsy and sounded adorably confused, making her all the more endearing.
Jasper, with a hoarseness in his voice, answered truthfully, "I’m thinking about some things."
"Do you want to tell me about it?"
Nora respected his decision completely, staring at him without blinking as she waited for his next words.
What he said next immediately dispelled her drowsiness, keeping her awake until three or four in the morning.
Jasper said, "Let’s have a child."
Nora thought she was sleepwalking and pinched her baby-fat cheeks.
Once she confirmed she hadn’t misheard, her eyes widened, rounder than a coin.
She muttered to herself, "I must be having a nightmare..."
