Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk-Chapter 809: What Do You Want Me to Do
On the way back to Crimson Hill Villa, Jasper Sinclair didn’t say another word, and Nora Northwood couldn’t guess what he was thinking.
It wasn’t until the Bentley came to a stop in the underground garage that he asked the driver to get out. The driver, being very perceptive, quickly left the scene to avoid getting caught in the crossfire.
Once the driver was gone, he reached out to stop Nora, who was getting out of the car.
Nora’s wrist was caught, and a gentle voice came from above her head.
"Don’t you trust what I say?"
The unexpected question left Nora at a loss, "What do you mean?"
"I’ve explained to you many times that I have nothing but gratitude for Peach Bell, no other feelings."
"I know that."
"But you don’t believe me."
"You explained, that’s your business. Whether I believe it or not is mine."
Due to the height difference, Nora had to tilt her chin up for quite a while, making her neck almost sore.
Jasper looked down at her, his eyes filled with helplessness, "Then what do you want me to do?"
Nora twisted her fingers, reaching this point, even she didn’t know what she wanted.
"Before you recognize the facts, your actions and words have caused me irrevocable hurt. These things cannot be resolved quickly. You ask me what to do, but honestly, I don’t know either."
Only the person who tied the bell can untie it... Jasper Sinclair understood this principle.
The creation of the "marital agreement" did not bring them closer, but instead made their relationship more rigid.
If this continues, it will only lead to endless arguments, which is not the result Jasper hopes to see.
So, he opened the car door for Nora, "You go in first, I’ll sit here for a while."
"Okay."
Nora got out of the car and, through the gap in the car window, saw Jasper’s half-profile, looking somewhat lonely.
She paused, but in the end didn’t say anything, turned, and left the underground garage.
Her petite figure gradually disappeared from Jasper’s peripheral vision.
He took out a pack of cigarettes from his coat, lit one, and smoke rings continuously wafted from his thin lips.
The evening breeze was slightly cool, lifting the fine short hair on his forehead.
Jasper Sinclair couldn’t tell what kind of emotions and entanglement he felt towards Nora Northwood.
He only knew that if this girl disappeared from his life, he would regret it.
That’s why he thought of the marital agreement.
He hoped that through it, he could bind her to his side, so that after his memory returned, he wouldn’t regret the past.
...
When Nora entered the living room, Uncle Kevin quickly came to greet her.
"Madam, I heard you made a trip to the hospital. Why did you go to the hospital out of the blue?"
Uncle Kevin had no children of his own, and having been by Jasper Sinclair’s side for so many years, he had long regarded this couple as his own children. Hearing they went to the hospital, he was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan.
Nora reassured Uncle Kevin, "I wasn’t hurt. It was another... friend who had a muscle strain and went to the hospital to get some bandages."
Unconcerned with anyone else, Uncle Kevin breathed a sigh of relief once he heard it wasn’t a family matter. Immediately, he sighed, "Young people nowadays don’t even use the crosswalk. You must be careful outside, or else Mr. Sinclair will be worried."
Uncle Kevin intended to help reconcile them, his words full of praise for Jasper Sinclair.
