Nora Northwood and Lily Sloan had agreed on a place to check out the flower cultivation base.

While she was away from the Crimson Hill Villa, an unexpected guest arrived at the house.

On her way back, she received a call from Uncle Kevin.

Uncle Kevin rarely disturbed her during her private time, so a call at this hour likely meant something urgent.

Nora answered quickly, using her woman’s intuition to sense something was up.

"Uncle Kevin, is there something wrong at home?"

Uncle Kevin’s answer was both within her expectations and unexpected.

The old man deliberately lowered his voice, as if eavesdroppers were nearby, "Madam, will you be coming back later?"

Uncle Kevin skirted around the issue, not revealing the situation at home to Nora.

He had long awaited a peaceful life, and hoped the household wouldn’t erupt into conflict over irrelevant people.

On the call, Nora said, "I’m already on my way back, should be home in about ten minutes."

Uncle Kevin understood, and with his other hand not holding the phone, fidgeted awkwardly, finally revealing the purpose of the call: "There’s a guest at home, a young girl named Peach Bell. Should she stay for dinner?" 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

Uncle Kevin knew about Peach Bell, but not much.

He dared not make assumptions, only probing Nora’s attitude.

Nora heard the familiar name, her expression fell, as if a beautiful dream shattered.

She concealed her emotions well, and blandly replied, "Ask Mr. Sinclair, she’s his friend."

Nora thought: Even if she disagreed, what could she do? Would Jasper Sinclair willingly let her leave?

With her reply, Uncle Kevin didn’t intervene further.

As she said, the car pulled into the Crimson Hill Villa ten minutes later.

Nora’s heart was unsettled, a restless aura hovered around her, making her seem rigid.

The villa’s gate opened silently after recognizing the license plate number.

The heavy stone in Nora’s heart wouldn’t settle, unable to hold back.

She told Francis, who was driving, "Stop at the front parking lot, I’ll get off first."

Francis didn’t know what happened at home and followed Nora’s instructions.

When she entered the living room, Uncle Kevin was the first to greet her.

"Madam, you’re back."

The living room was unusually quiet, with no sign of a guest’s presence.

"Where’s the guest?" she asked.

Uncle Kevin awkwardly answered, "Mr. Sinclair took her upstairs... maybe discussing something in the study."

Actually, Uncle Kevin didn’t know their exact location, but it wouldn’t be right to say they were in the bedroom.

Though he didn’t clarify, it didn’t mean Nora couldn’t guess.

The living room became quiet again, Uncle Kevin quietly observed Nora’s expression.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t discern anything.

After a moment of silence, Uncle Kevin repeated the question from ten minutes earlier: "Do we need to set an extra pair of chopsticks for dinner?"

"No need."

Before she returned, Nora was indifferent, curious how Jasper would handle the situation.

Once she learned they were alone in a room, she couldn’t contain herself.

She didn’t care whether Jasper wanted her to stay; she was the true mistress of this house.
