Chapter 393: Chapter 392: Belinda Swan Becomes One of the Family

Nia Mitchell: .....

Black lines of frustration seemed to form on her forehead. What on earth was the CEO trying to say? How could he think like that?

The entire underground parking lot was permeated with a strong, sour smell of jealousy.

"I only idolize you, okay?"

Nia Mitchell pouted, her face glowing with a radiant smile.

As expected, the expression on Maxwell Peary’s face improved significantly.

「The Old Peary Mansion—」

Driving through the winding corridor, Maxwell Peary pulled up directly to the inner gate. He then stepped out of the car to personally open the passenger door for Nia Mitchell.

At the entrance, Samuel Peary, Phoebe Harris, Evelyn Peary, the butler, and the servants were all waiting.

Upon seeing Maxwell Peary make a point of opening the car door himself, the expressions of Samuel Peary and Phoebe Harris changed subtly.

Only Evelyn Peary stood there, her face beaming with joy.

"Brother, Sister-in-law."

Evelyn Peary was all smiles. They’re finally here! They’re finally here! AHAHAHA! She wouldn’t have to marry Yancy Hastings now!

"Let’s go inside."

Maxwell Peary frowned slightly, shot a glance at Samuel Peary and Phoebe Harris, then led Nia Mitchell straight into the house, offering no pleasantries to the pair.

As they entered, Belinda Swan, who had been sitting on the sofa, stood up elegantly, a smile on her face.

Her hair appeared to have been freshly styled, different from when Nia Mitchell had last seen her.

"Maxwell Peary, you’re here."

As if she hadn’t even noticed Nia Mitchell, Belinda Swan smiled at him enthusiastically, a blush rising on her cheeks.

The words from her bright red lips were cloyingly sweet.

Maxwell Peary didn’t spare her a glance, directly leading Nia Mitchell to a seat to one side.

"Let’s get this settled quickly. Don’t waste my time."

Maxwell Peary crossed his left leg over his right and leaned casually against the back of the sofa, an overpowering aura emanating from him.

This aura carried such a chill that even Nia Mitchell, seated right next to him, instinctively tensed up. She felt like she was on pins and needles, unsure how to hold herself.

Sensing Rabina Mitchell’s unease beside him, Maxwell Peary reached out and took her hand, reassuring her.

"You should already be aware of the situation," Samuel Peary began, sitting down and glancing at Nia Mitchell beside Maxwell Peary. "The Hastings Family has an impeccable background, and they are a good match for the Peary Clan. They came this morning to propose, and I’ve already accepted."

"So you specifically called me back just to inform me of this?" Maxwell Peary lifted his head to stare directly into Samuel Peary’s eyes, anger blazing within them.

"Of course, it was to discuss it with you," Phoebe Harris interjected quickly, seeing the tension flaring between father and son, trying to smooth things over.

After speaking, she glanced at Belinda Swan, signaling her to add something.

"That’s right, Maxwell Peary. Your father wanted to discuss it with you; wasn’t that why you were notified at the earliest opportunity?" Belinda Swan said, sitting gracefully with a smile, the very picture of a young lady from a wealthy family. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Maxwell Peary shot a cold glance at Phoebe Harris and Belinda Swan.

"Outsiders, be quiet!"

After these three curt words, he looked directly at Samuel Peary.

"I believe you know my stance."

He then shifted his posture and turned to Evelyn Peary, who was standing to one side.

"Regarding the marriage to the Hastings Family, no one can make the decision for Evelyn Peary. It’s her marriage; she makes her own choice."

With that, Maxwell Peary looked at Evelyn Peary.

"Do you want to marry Yancy Hastings?"

"I don’t want to!" Evelyn Peary responded instantly after Maxwell Peary finished his question. She then looked at Nia Mitchell with a gleeful expression, raising an eyebrow at her.

This was fantastic, absolutely fantastic!
