Find a Troubled Girl after leaving the Guild-Chapter 505 - 264: Alliance Proposal (Part 2)
"How did you find me?" Li Ang felt a bit guilty.
Xiaoniu chuckled, his childlike face exuding an innocent charm.
"I thought about the few things you’d do, then came looking one by one."
"Is it just you here?"
Li Ang peeked out slightly, not sure why, but he hoped nobody else was around; too much chatter would give him a headache.
"Yes, it is."
ALulu’s voice suddenly took on a certain tone, her round, pale purple eyes holding some deeper meaning.
Hmm, there were indeed some promises made before, Zoe certainly did yell like a beast, and this bull was a bit sly.
Li Ang laughed awkwardly, wanting to focus on his current task.
"Come, take a look at these materials."
He called ALulu over, and at the weapon house’s material display shelf, he showed her the excellent water attribute materials he had obtained earlier. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Dream Lantern Skin, material from the Illusory Fish Dragon, retains bioelectricity that can change colors, creating a dreamlike visual effect; crafted well, it can produce armor with a chameleon camouflage effect.
The Arcane Guidance Helm, Storage Scale, Casting Fin, and Wavecleaver Dorsal Fin from the Curse Scale Fish can integrate magic effects excellently with water attributes.
Also, the excellent carapace or scales and claws obtained from several rampaging Demons.
The materials from the Treasure Wood Poison Dragon have dragon traits and some poison traits, but they may not be used for water attribute equipment.
"Which ones do you want to use to craft your equipment?" Li Ang asked with a smile.
ALulu looked at him gloomily: "Are you asking me this? I’m not an artisan."
Li Ang’s smile froze slightly.
She glanced at the Dream Lantern Skin: "Everyone likes this, but it’s not suitable for me."
ALulu then pointed to the Curse Scale Fish materials: "These don’t quite fit either, I need something durable and sturdy. Are you asking this to change the topic?"
Caught. Li Ang thought.
ALulu quickly made a tearful expression.
The previous promise, Li Ang sighed: "The promise from before, right?"
Xiaoniu immediately beamed with a smile: "Uh-huh."
Li Ang looked at the half-finished equipment creation and the pile of unhandled materials.
As he was about to say something, ALulu spoke first: "Finish your current work, I’m not in a hurry."
She thought for a moment and added:
"Just don’t leave me alone and run off."
"I won’t."
Li Ang sat down to continue, but didn’t really feel like advancing his equipment creation tier, opting to wrap up quickly to spend time with her.
"I’ll wait by your side," ALulu seemed quite eager about their forthcoming time together, enthusiastically clenching her small fist, "I’ll guard the entrance, and if anyone comes by, I’ll say I didn’t find you."
She sat down nearby, pulling out a piece of bread to eat.
"I’m already here."
Andasu suddenly emerged from the shadow of a column.
ALulu jumped in surprise: "An, when did you get here?"
"Around the same time as you." White Wolf didn’t pay much attention to the horned girl, once inside, her gaze was fixed straight on Li Ang.
Li Ang examined the beast-eared maiden, noticing the lingering magic energy in the air and signs of her spirituality activity, showing that she used dark attribute power to traverse the weapon house’s shadows in a way almost ignoring physical barriers.
Has the Evil Assassin’s training progressed again? Come to think of it, everyone in the team is a top-notch genius.
Oh, except Dorothy.
That lazy one, her genius lies in her wild creativity.
ALulu pressed her lips, appearing a bit unconvinced, perhaps even unhappy.
Andasu began her assault.
"What’s up with that Zoe, how far have she and the master gone?"
"What do you mean by how far?"
Li Ang continued crafting equipment, pretending not to understand.
When he retorted, considering Andasu’s submissive nature towards everything concerning Li Ang, it wouldn’t provoke any backlash. Instead, it would make her feel injured, further hampering herself through language that put her in a subordinate position.
Her originally perked ears drooped slightly, and her voice was somewhat stiff: "Previously, I wanted to learn from Dorothy how to serve the master; can that guy do it?"
Li Ang felt truly helpless.
He couldn’t just tell her it was his guidance with Zoe, that would be a disaster.
He could only choose his words carefully: "Everyone is different, there’s no need to imitate, you are who you are and should have your own way of doing things."
After saying that, it felt strange; though it was advice, considering the context it pertained to, it suddenly felt out of place.
Yet, on the spot, it was the only thing he could think to say.
Andasu shivered all over, bowing her head, seemingly quite dejected.
She took some time before speaking: "I understand, I, as such a servant, no matter how hard I try, I will always be of a lower status compared to the first member, I get it, I won’t challenge her anymore, as long as it’s your wish, I’m willing to stay at the lowest place, as long as you don’t cast me away from my position, granting just a little bit of favor..."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, stop right there."
Li Ang hastily tossed aside the half-finished equipment in his hand.
This one always misconstrued things, but this misunderstanding was going too far.
He jumped up to hold White Wolf by the shoulders, looking seriously at her: "That’s not what I meant, okay?"
The girl lowered her eyes, her thick white lashes and skin as soft as snowflakes, truly a treasure in the desert. Yet at this moment, tears like Clear Spring nonetheless spilled over, evoking a sense of protectiveness, making one unable to easily part with such a treasure.
He sighed. To put it simply, she was jealous, but the issue was when a girl got jealous - it could either shake the heavens or have grave consequences.
He knew she could tend to think in extremes.
Over time, having spent these days together, he gradually discovered another layer to their personalities beneath.
He felt that ALulu wasn’t truly sly, but rather had a bull-headedness beneath her Paladin facade, restraining herself in ways that looked sly.
Andasu possessed a fearlessness honed in harsh conditions, but due to her background and past experiences, she always had a sense of inferiority, and when she wanted to shed her fierce exterior and be a girl, the only way she knew was to put herself down to express her longing to Li Ang.
He gently hugged her, and the tense White Wolf immediately softened, able to absorb his counsel.
When Li Ang finished advising her not to see herself as a servant, he lifted his head and met ALulu’s gaze once more.
Xiaoniu pursed her lips, as if to say, "Treating her like that; if not me, I’m going to kick up a fuss."
Li Ang rubbed his temples: "Let’s go."
After leaving the weapon house, he found himself without a clear destination.
These two could find him, but he wasn’t worried about Dorothy; she wouldn’t make it out this far without sulking and plotting her next mischievous way to steal his time.
But what to do with this bull and wolf?
"Let’s form an alliance." As they walked, ALulu suddenly suggested.
The other two were stunned, and after a while, Andasu reacted: "You talking to me?"
"Yes," ALulu said, "previously you wanted to learn unknown things from Dorothy, but she told us, and you were angry, you wanted to ally with her, right?"
Andasu’s idea of an alliance was like street fighting; if they had a common enemy today, they’d team up, but the next day, if they had a quarrel, they’d fight each other.
She was thinking of forming a truce today because tomorrow things might change, unlike that other pair; they were the newest members of the Star Flower Travel Corps, so it was much the same situation.
Li Ang quickly interjected: "The troop name originally symbolized the metaphor of blooming flowers, fitting with their names by coincidence, but we can’t change the name again every time someone new joins."
If each person had to be added to the troop’s name, it might soon be reminiscent of some bizarre creature from a hunter game.
ALulu seemed to be thinking while her face blushed, and she gestured bashfully.
Li Ang thought about covering her up, but she merely half-closed her eyes, cheeks flushed, pointing with a bit of awkwardness towards a nearby inn.
"Let’s make an alliance," she suddenly said while walking.
The two next to her both looked a bit puzzled.
"If we keep an alliance," she added, "some things could stay between us," ALulu said, watching the somewhat bewildered White Wolf.
