Find a Troubled Girl after leaving the Guild-Chapter 472 - 251: The True Genius (2)
Li Ang cracked a smile.
Farina noticed and asked, "Do you have any thoughts, Mr. Boyfriend?"
"I think if she chooses to find food in the village, she must grab it and eat it without considering others. She would even dare to do that with the merchant’s goods."
"Is that her character, the Female Sword Hero?"
Farina chuckled. She hadn’t thought of this situation because when Li Ang and Meluna were dating, she was busy with the Banquet of the Gods, and due to quitting the group, it was awkward to meet Li Ang, who was still at The Soul Apex, so she couldn’t learn much.
Another thing is when he was with Meluna, it was as if there was a wall between them and the world. Everyone who saw them felt pushed back by an Invisible Force Field, keeping a safe distance.
With Farina’s comment, Li Ang could only sigh.
"That’s because she doesn’t communicate with others. Sometimes I would stop her from acting recklessly. She later somewhat understood, but didn’t care. So when we traveled together, I was always on high alert, warning strangers to stay away. Besides, she doesn’t like to suppress her Sword Intent, which is why there are such rumors. Not everyone in the Holy City can sense Sword Intent, and curious Adventurers might misunderstand when they see it."
Li Ang glanced at the Elder Sword Hero. Unlike most, this one sensed the Sword Intent, which is why he’s involved in these matters on the island.
"It seems you remember a lot of details. It looks like you guys had a good relationship. Her character is like that, but maybe it’s because she met you that you two could progress to that relationship. I thought she did something really hurtful to you."
"You’re really nosy."
"Any of your friends would be curious, right?"
"She left me behind and just walked away, which was quite hurtful, especially when I had prepared a lot for her... never mind, there’s nothing more to say."
Li Ang shook his head, even though he knew in his heart that Meluna was troublesome.
But they lived together for so long, went through so much, and shared the most intimate conversations. Clearly, the relationship was very close, but when she left, it was as if this relationship was just fleeting.
This made him question the essence of the relationship and reflect on whether he misunderstood her thoughts, eventually leading to self-doubt.
Moreover, considering many things for her and the impact it had on team activities afterwards, he didn’t want to recount them all, nor did he wish to recall them carefully.
"Alright, let’s not talk about it. Let’s discuss this instead."
Farina pointed at Li Ang’s Orichalcum. Since they met, she had been examining this Magic Staff for a long time, which is natural for a Caster and Adventurer.
Before she donned her current High-tier Dragon Fire Robe, resembling a Flame Witch from a story, she too had the rough attire of a Wild Mage, and she used to envy others with good Equipment. Today, even the Fire Dragon didn’t give her strong amplification directly, and the Water Dragon was hesitant and particular, indicating the Six Dragons faced many limitations in their influence on the world.
Back then, in that situation, she too longed for good Equipment, so now she focuses on what Li Ang has acquired.
Why could the old people of The Soul Apex play together and still have happy memories? It was because everyone shared the "Adventurer’s Greed," yet maintained restraint at the same level. If anyone had truly acted selfishly then, the group might have dispersed long ago.
Li Ang handed the Magic Staff to her to admire. For old friends, he didn’t worry about the item being handled roughly or damaged. Or rather, even if it incurred some damage, being a friend meant it wouldn’t matter.
The Witch seemed to understand his inherent character and knew about his willingness at this moment, casting him a slightly coquettish glance.
Then Farina drove the colorful Magic Core, using six-colored High-tier Magic Power to create the forms of six Dragons.
"This Magic Staff is indeed remarkable. Finally got it?"
"You’re talking as if you knew of this thing a long time ago."
The Witch laughed, "After all these years, you’ve always wanted a Treasure Artifact with multiple powers coexisting, and now you finally have it. I thought something like this didn’t even exist."
"Thanks to the Dome Furnace Association."
"How did you connect with them? Gratitude? Seems like a lot happened. Is it related to that young lady Douding?"
"A little bit. We’ll talk about it later. Just know that I’m now a part of them."
"Compared to before, always following Viel’s directions effortlessly, your trouble-making ability now is truly unparalleled."
"Talking about the past is pointless."
Li Ang noticed her Illusion of the six forms, "These six Dragons weren’t just randomly shaped, right? Is there significance?"
"These represent the Six Tier forms of Dragons that support the world." The Dragon Witch said more seriously, face solemn.
What she described as the Dragon Ancestor varied significantly. Those Dragons are an integration of Nebis’s concept of the "Dragon" as a Demon, even though they’ve never seen any of them in true form, uh, except for the fallen Leviathan, but they’re likely close to the Dragon Descendant form.
However, each of the Six Dragons is different.
The Fire Dragon is actually the most standard. In the Flashing Field, the Witch summoned that Dragon God Statue, and Li Ang knew the Fire Dragon’s appearance then.
Later, when Farina introduced the Six Dragons, he naturally thought they were just six differently colored quadruped, winged True Dragons, perhaps even gathering on some great tower like a pillar, as if from some large online game of the past life.
But now what he sees tells him reality is entirely different.
Except for the Fire Dragon, which stands in a quadruped, winged stance with gold-red spikes and sharp horns, the other Dragons are a bit unlike Dragons.
The Wind Dragon resembles a massive green bird, with three pairs of wings, two pairs of sharp claws, and a phoenix-like tail that drags long.
The Earth Dragon resembles a mass of rock, like a conglomeration of mud. Farina’s Illusion lacked detail, so Li Ang couldn’t determine the size of this Dragon. If large enough, the mud areas should have mountains and vegetation, resembling a mountain or rather, an island.
The Water Dragon has many pink parts, revealing to Li Ang why it likes to transform into pink rabbits or have the Beast-Earkin with pink hair. Those pink extensions are its tentacles. Yes, this Dragon has a large jellyfish structure, its body akin to a gigantic jellyfish, with the Dragon head emerging as tentacles from the jellyfish, three dragon heads in total. He wonders how it thinks. The other tentacles are pink claws.
The Light Dragon resembles a being with load armor, like a Dragon Turtle. It looks very gentle, with rounded horns and claws, yet all around it are various weapons. Some blend with its scales, while others emerge from its shell, an unknown origin and structure. These weapons are bathed in Holy Light, exuding a strong sense of divinity.
The Dark Dragon is almost entirely skeletal, a semi-horse Centaur Dragon Beast Form, lacking ossified wings, four limbs supporting a horse-like body, and upper arms growing a pair of clawed dragon limbs. The Power of Dark Elements forms armor on its body, creating mimicked Dragon Scales and countless mixed Dragon Wings, appearing as an embodiment of chaos and death.
The Six Dragon Illusion also drew Meimei’s gaze. Farina let them perform a magical flight before transforming into light and disappearing into the sky.
Returning the staff to Li Ang, Farina seemed very satisfied, saying, "Use it well, you deserve to have it."
And with that, the day ended with Otto’s search yielding no results.
The three prepared to rest for a while and gather again at night to discuss the next steps.
Li Ang returned to the treetop. The young girls were still sound asleep, and he first moved a chair to sit by the water, resting as the evening breeze blew and pondering the upcoming progression.
Meimei suddenly walked over and gave him a light smile.
"Why are you here?"
"I have a few questions for you, big brother, about magic."
She sat very close suddenly, which made Li Ang a little uncomfortable. Although a young girl, with indistinct features, her slender figure already made one realize she was of the opposite gender. Though it wasn’t a big deal, he wouldn’t let his mind wander, but Otto’s previous precautions with him made things complicated.
Shifting position slightly, he voiced a question that had puzzled him for a while, "Why don’t you treat me like a general stranger?"
