Favorite of the Beast-world: I Got Rich Through Farming-Chapter 44 - 45: Come Over and Help Me.

The female stood about five-foot-three with a well-proportioned figure. Her skin was a bit dark and dry, but her cheeks glowed with a healthy, rosy blush. It was Gou Ni from the tribe.

She had been wandering around aimlessly, bored, when she caught the scent of food drifting from Ling Hong’s stone house and immediately followed her nose, running over.

An Jin set down the basket she was holding and led the drooling Gou Ni to the kitchen, where she lifted the stone lid off the pot.

The stone pot, which she had specifically asked Ling Hong to slice thin, was sizzling with hot oil. On its surface, wild vegetable cakes were frying to a golden-brown, their aroma incredibly tempting.

An Jin took out a few of the wild vegetable cakes, scalding her hand slightly. Gou Ni quickly helped her place them on a thin stone plate, and the two young females gathered around the table to enjoy the delicious meal.

Gou Ni really adored An Jin.

’Being with her means I always get to eat all sorts of delicious things! *Sniffle*~’

’They’re the same ingredients, but when An Jin makes them, they’re just so fragrant and mouth-watering.’ Gou Ni rubbed her small, dark hands together, her round face breaking into a simple, sweet smile. She unceremoniously grabbed a piping hot wild vegetable cake and took a big bite.

From inside the fresh, crisp, and delicious wild vegetable cake, melted fat and beef actually oozed out?!

"Ah Jin, what is this?!" Gou Ni was so moved by the flavor she could have cried. It was too good! There was actually beef inside the vegetable cake.

An Jin took a piece for herself, savoring the explosion of flavor in her mouth. She smiled and replied, "Wild vegetable cakes are too plain on their own, so I added a bit of pork lard, beef, and some spices."

Gou Ni was thoroughly impressed. ’An Jin is amazing! She always has so many strange and wonderful ideas to make such delicious food.’

"How did you make it? Please teach me! I want to make vegetable cakes for my two males at home, too!"

An Jin nodded, more than happy to share her technique. She couldn’t resist pinching Gou Ni’s little face. "I have no problem teaching you," she teased, "I just don’t know if a certain lazy little female will stick with it!"

Her secret called out, Gou Ni chuckled sheepishly. She adored An Jin. ’We have to be best friends for life.’

After the two young females had eaten their fill, Gou Ni had her Black Eagle partner bring over a large leg of beef in exchange for the remaining vegetable cakes to take home.

Just as she was about to leave, An Jin stopped her. "Come back tomorrow. There will be more good food. And can you help me with something?"

"Oh, more good food!" The simple-minded Gou Ni only heard the first part and immediately nodded eagerly.

「The next day at noon.」

Gou Ni arrived with Hei Xuan as promised. Coincidentally, Ling Hong was out again, and the two of them breathed a sigh of relief. They spotted An Jin not far away, standing under a large tree and trying to knock down fruit with a long wooden stick.

Many of the fruits were smashed to a pulp when they hit the ground; only a small number landed in the basket by her feet.

After working for half the day, An Jin had only managed to collect five or six of the red fruits with this highly inefficient method.

These were called Red Fruits. Most were about the size of a fist, incredibly sweet with a high sugar content, and were a favorite among the Beastmen.

Gou Ni loved eating these red fruits, too.

The Black Eagle Beastman beside her had already skillfully shifted into his beast form. He spread his wings and flew up four or five meters into the dense canopy. Clamping the stems of seven or eight Red Fruits in his dark, rounded beak, he flew back down and placed them in Gou Ni’s arms.

His black beak rubbed affectionately against her cheek as a cooing sound rumbled in his throat, as if he were asking for praise.

"Hei Xuan, can you fly up and pick some more for me? We’ll give some to Ah Jin, too!"

Gou Ni gently stroked the Black Eagle’s head. The Black Eagle immediately cooed in response, then took a basket in his beak, spread his wings, and flew back up into the tree.

The dense foliage concealed most of the Black Eagle’s body, and a shower of leaves and ripe fruits rained down. Before long, the Black Eagle flew back to the ground, his beak holding a basket filled to the brim with Red Fruits.

An Jin couldn’t help but sigh in admiration.

’Having a flying Beastman for a partner sure is convenient.’

Gou Ni casually grabbed two fruits from the basket to munch on, then had Hei Xuan carry the rest of the basket of Red Fruits into the house.

An Jin didn’t stand on ceremony and accepted them readily. ’I’ll just have to make some extra-delicious food for this little foodie, Gou Ni, later.’

"Quick, come here and help me with something. I’ll make you your favorite grilled pork chops later," An Jin said, standing at the door and waving Gou Ni over. She looked so mysterious, she was the spitting image of a kidnapper luring away a young girl. She gestured for the Black Eagle Beastman to wait outside.
