An Jin’s fingertip continued to scroll down the main screen. Only the Beginner Shop was unlocked for now, and it didn’t have many items.

The shop had several categories, mostly filled with things like farm tools and animal hides, which were of no use to her at the moment.

After browsing through [Recipe Ingredients], she swiped right to another section: [Simulation Management].

The selection of items was instantly refreshed.

Mirror Mirror’s eager voice rang out, giving an NPC-like explanation. An Jin nodded in understanding.

The Gold Coins in the top-left corner were the system’s universal currency, and she only had a pitiful 15 of them left.

She had just seen items in the Beginner Shop selling for tens or even hundreds of Gold Coins, yet the most she ever got from a mission reward was no more than three. It was nowhere near enough.

Mirror Mirror cheered her on from the side. [The number of Gold Coins you receive as a reward is determined by the impact you have on this world. So please, Master, increase your influence as quickly as possible and get rich from farming in this world!]

A white light flashed, and on the gridded land within the space, an acre of fertile yellow soil appeared, with a small river flowing beside it...

Anything purchased from the Simulation Management section would appear in this space, just like in that popular "XX Farm" game from her 23rd-century world.

An Jin glanced at her Gold Coin balance in the top-left corner and, wincing at the cost, clicked [Confirm].

Immediately, the cheerful DING of Gold Coins being spent rang out again. At this point, she only had 9 left.

An Jin’s heart ached. ’I can’t spend any more, I absolutely can’t.’ Half the Gold Coins she had earned from a whole month of thankless missions were gone in the blink of an eye.

The system, however, seemed unsatisfied and happily continued to DING away.

The tone grew more and more cheerful with each notification. ’It’s like it can’t wait to squeeze every last Gold Coin out of me!’

An Jin’s mind was flooded with the relentlessly cheerful DINGs, pushing her to the brink of a breakdown.

Still, she helplessly clicked "Confirm" on all three options. After all, she really did need them.

With only three Gold Coins left, An Jin’s heartache surprisingly vanished. Her face expressionless, she waved her hand imperiously and bought the [Beginner Skin Cream * Recipe].

An Jin planted all of the several hundred seeds she had previously selected. She then maxed out the time-flow rate inside the space to 100x and configured the necessary parameters on the [Seed * Selection] screen.

To truly prepare a plant for cultivation, one had to go through generations of artificial breeding and selection to develop a strain that best suited human needs.

In the real world, this kind of multi-generational selective breeding would take several hundred years at minimum. She’d be nothing but a pile of bones by then. The accelerated time flow in the space, however, was perfect for her needs.

「After preparing everything.」

An Jin exited the space. The ingredients for the skin cream were all quite common, and she managed to gather them all within ten to fifteen days, grinding them into a paste before mixing them together.

With both the facial cleanser and the skin cream complete, the next step was to find a few hardworking "guinea pigs" to test their effects.
