"So, does it still hurt now?" She took a deep breath to steady her breathing, then reached out to stroke the reddened corners of his eyes, her gaze falling on the wounds on his body.
"Mmm~ It doesn’t hurt anymore. Nothing hurts at all." He took her hand and pressed it to his cheek, rubbing against it. "Ah Jin is so good to me..."
He smiled, completely sated. He grew even more attached to her body and her scent, resting his head below her collarbone and messing up the clothes she had just straightened.

His fishtail twitched upward, the fins of his azure tail tinged with a shy pink.

’This is bad!’ she thought, and subconsciously pushed back. Xi fell limply against the wall, his messy blue hair sticking to his flushed, beautiful cheeks as he stared at her with misty, infatuated eyes.
An Jin moved off him.
She made a surprising discovery.
This was the first time she had come away relatively unscathed... while the Little Merfolk, by contrast, was left half-leaning against the wall, looking completely dazed with passion, the corners of his eyes red, his body sore and weak...

"What is it?" As strength gradually returned to his legs, Xi walked with some difficulty to her side, turning his head to look at her slightly serious profile.
"Don’t you find it strange? Why did that Merman try to capture me? He even said he was going to offer me to some ’master.’ At first, I thought he was sent by that man in black from before, but then... I saw something on him."
As she spoke, she changed the subject, turning to look at him with a hint of concern:

Sniffing the faint scent of blood in the water, Xi narrowed his eyes. He looked straight ahead toward the forest of reefs, following his memory back to the site of the battle.
With their wrists bound by the seaweed, An Jin agilely moved her body and limbs, following Xi’s lead. She already had diving experience, and after being fused with the Shark Pearl for so long, her body felt as light and nimble as a real fish’s every time she entered the water.
And since Xi was intentionally slowing down, she was surprisingly able to keep pace. Relative to each other, they were almost perfectly still.
Schools of magnificent, beautiful fish drifted past her, but An Jin had no mind to admire them. Her gaze was fixed steadily on the Merman before her.
It was a look of endless admiration and wonder for the world’s most beautiful creature.
Merfolk were already stunningly beautiful, with graceful, flowing body lines. His waterfall of blue hair seemed to catch faint glimmers of light in the dark depths of the sea. Since she was so close, a few strands would occasionally drift across her face, tickling her slightly.
Even with his back to her, An Jin could see the sexy curve of his beautiful shoulder blades as they rose and fell with his movements. The deep arch of his lower back was smooth and sleek, and a slight sway of his narrow hips was enough to propel his long fishtail forward hundreds of meters in an instant.
