Favorite of the Beast-world: I Got Rich Through Farming-Chapter 158 - 121: The Wolf’s Mind and the Belated Confession (Part 2)
[The prices are a little steep. A Green-horned Beast of over a hundred jin only covers three days’ lodging! [Crying Face]]
[I hope the City Lord can plan the city layout better. I can never find where things are sold! [Crying Face]]
[I love this city so much! The wooden houses are so warm during the cold winter! I want to settle down here. [Smiling Face]]
[The roads are a bit narrow, and they aren’t paved with bluestone. Every time I sprint in my beast form, I get covered in dirt. Is it a lack of materials? [Crying Face]]

An Jin mentally took note of the Beastmen’s suggestions. Once the Great Cold Season passed and the weather improved next year, she would gradually adjust the city based on their feedback.
...
When the Cold Season arrived and the weather grew frigid, Gu Yin curled up in a corner of his room, preparing to enter hibernation.
In the past, he would always find a remote, hidden cave to coil up in, or burrow a hole for himself in the soft earth, spending the three-month Great Cold Season in solitude.
But now, he could hibernate in a warm wooden house while staying by his beloved female’s side.
Thanks to the underfloor heating, the air inside the room was quite warm, which slightly eased his drowsiness.
However, he had been too excited to hibernate last Cold Season because his female had gone into heat. He had to hibernate properly this year, or his biological clock would be a mess.
"I’ll wake up about once every couple of weeks."
Gu Yin pulled his female into his embrace, pressing his face against hers and nuzzling her affectionately.
An Jin counted on her fingers, then nodded. "Okay. Ling Hong and I will prepare food for you in advance so you can eat as soon as you wake up."
"HSSSSS~"
Gu Yin shifted into his snake form and contentedly rested his head on An Jin’s thigh. Soon, a translucent red film covered his blood-red pupils.
He was asleep.
"I was out hunting a couple of days ago and dug up a bunch of red tubers in the snow. Let me take you to see them!"
Ling Hong’s voice suddenly came from outside the door.
An Jin put a finger to her lips, shushing him. "Gu Yin just fell asleep," she whispered. "Don’t disturb him."
She then carefully slipped out from within the snake’s coils and walked over to Ling Hong. "What do the red tubers look like? Where did you find them?"
Ling Hong couldn’t quite describe them. "I’ll just take you to see for yourself." He glanced out of the corner of his eye at the sleeping Snake Beast in the room, seemingly desperate to lure the female away.
An Jin didn’t notice his urgency. She walked to the window and looked out, a hint of worry in her eyes.
The heavy snowfall had stopped that morning, but the accumulated snow was already a meter deep—thigh-high on an adult.
The two of them went outside.
The moment she took a step, she sank almost up to her waist in the snow.
Ling Hong transformed into a Silver Wolf nearly six meters long. Before the Great Cold Season arrived, his short fur had already been shed and replaced by long, fluffy, snow-white fur.
An Jin stood close to him and immediately felt the intense heat radiating from the Silver Wolf’s body. It made her want to snuggle closer and curl up in his fluffy fur for warmth.
The Silver Wolf gently lifted her onto his back. Eagerly, he set his four legs in motion and charged swiftly toward the snow-covered forest in the distance.
They arrived in an unremarkable part of the forest. The Silver Wolf lowered his head, his dark nose sniffing all around.
Suddenly, his eyes lit up. "AWOO~" He began to paw at the ground, digging rapidly in the snow.
’It’s right here!’
Huge piles of snow were flung from the hole. An Jin slid off Ling Hong’s back and soon saw the wolf’s head buried in the snowdrift, only his hindquarters and furiously digging paws visible.
"Aren’t you cold?" she asked, shivering. She was huddled under a thick animal hide, and every breath she took formed a white cloud.
"AWOO~"
The Silver Wolf lifted his head and replied with a howl, shaking out his long, downy fur. He was an Arctic Snow Wolf, after all; to him, running in such harsh, snowy weather felt like a walk in the park.
"Let me help you dig."
An Jin had left in a hurry and hadn’t brought any tools. She broke off a few nearby branches, squatted down, and started digging beside the Silver Wolf.
Dark brown earth gradually came into view.
As they dug a little further, she soon saw pointed red tubers covered in a layer of frost. ’Aren’t these carrots?!’
And it was a huge patch of them.
After the frigid Great Cold Season began, An Jin started going out less frequently, and her body naturally expended less energy.
During this season, people tended to have heartier appetites and a craving for rich meats. While such foods were nutritious, eating them constantly could put a strain on the body, as they were ultimately quite greasy.
