As she headed out the door, she nearly collided with a golden-haired man walking toward her.
Before she could regain her balance, the man walked straight past her without so much as offering a hand to steady her.
The man was tall and statuesque, with golden hair, blue eyes, a high-bridged nose, and deep-set eyes. His face was handsome yet cold, and a golden feather ornament dangled from his right ear.
This man was strange. Unlike other males of the Beast World, who couldn’t wait to wear their beast-hide kilts as short as possible to attract the attention of females, he was dressed in a wide, Chi-gold feathered robe that concealed his tall, powerful body completely.
The man brought a wave of cold, damp air in with him. Chilled, Lin Xixue pulled her beast-hide clothes tighter around herself, shooting him a look of delicate dissatisfaction before quickly hurrying after him.
"Where is Song Ke?" The man’s sharp, eagle-like eyes swept over the empty Stone Castle, not missing a single corner.
His low, husky voice was as intoxicating as smoke. Lin Xixue’s heart raced, and her gaze on the man grew even more fervent.
"You’re Song Yi?"
’He rarely comes back. Why today...’
Lin Xixue hurried closer to the man, her eyes burning as she gazed at Song Yi. She softened her voice deliberately, "I don’t know either. He went out and hasn’t returned yet."
"Isn’t he infatuated with you? And yet he just left you here in the Stone Castle by yourself?" Song Yi narrowed his slender blue eyes, his gaze falling on the female, whose expression had soured. He watched as she drew near, her soft body occasionally brushing against his arm.
"..." Song Yi’s expression grew even colder.
The man’s long, blade-like brows furrowed. His thin lips pressed into a firm line, and his jaw tensed. A flash of disgust and revulsion crossed his handsome, icy face.
Without any regard for her status as a female, he shoved her away.
Caught off guard, Lin Xixue fell to the ground with a shriek. Trembling, she looked up and glared at Song Yi. "I’m a female! How could you be so rough with me?"
Song Yi glanced down at her, his voice cold and devoid of warmth. Instead of answering, he posed a question of his own. "You are my younger brother’s female. Why are you trying to seduce me?"
"..." Lin Xixue was momentarily speechless. She could only glare at him resentfully, her indignation only making her want him more.

The man’s tall, wild form instantly transformed into a Golden Feathered Giant Eagle. He launched himself out the door, his body spanning five meters with wings outstretched. He cut a majestic figure high in the sky before vanishing as swift as lightning.
The moment he vanished completely, the oppressive aura pressing down on Lin Xixue finally dissipated. She scrambled up from the ground, glaring viciously at the distant horizon.
"Damn it! That Song Yi didn’t even show me a shred of courtesy! I’m the one his brother cherishes most, and he dares to give me such a sour look!"
