Favorite of the Beast-world: I Got Rich Through Farming-Chapter 107 - 99: So Useless
With her cheeks flushed, An Jin buried her face in his chest and said uncomfortably, "Be a little gentler..."
She shot a nervous glance at the wall. Ling Hong and Xi’s room was right next door. ’It would be so embarrassing if we woke them up in the middle of the night.’
However, a dark undercurrent swirled in Mi Yin’s eyes. He deliberately tried to make her cry out even louder. Furious and ashamed, An Jin bit his muscular arm several times, trying to break free.
"...Don’t move around," he said, pressing uncomfortably against her neck.
An Jin was also extremely uncomfortable. She truly didn’t dare to move—not out of obedience, but because she could feel the snake’s barbs.
Most Snake Beasts were Wandering Beasts who forced females. Over thousands of years of evolution, they had developed barbs to prevent females from escaping, ensuring they could complete the mating.
In the darkness, the man’s panting subsided slightly. The more she struggled, the more it drove him wild with the desire to possess her. But he didn’t want to do that; it would hurt her.
As the first light of dawn broke through the darkness, Mi Yin, having thoroughly exhausted An Jin, finally released her. He transformed into his snake form and effortlessly coiled his body around her.
He watched the female sleep soundly, her eyes shut tight. Her drenched, jet-black hair and small, flushed face—every detail about her utterly captivated him.
’If I tire her out, she won’t have the energy to go looking for other males.’
As a Wandering Beast, a type generally disliked by females, Mi Yin was a mixture of pride and insecurity. When he was with An Jin, however, all that remained was an overwhelming sense of inferiority.
He could only conceal this inferiority behind a fiercer, more domineering facade.
’If she really takes other mates, or accepts that Wolf Beast, then she’ll definitely never like me, a Snake Beast.’
This was the only way Mi Yin knew to ascertain her feelings, to assert his presence in her life, and to fill the emotional void in his heart.
Based on past experience, Mi Yin predicted she would sleep until the afternoon. As the sky began to lighten, he carried her to the bed, carefully tucked her in, and prepared to leave.
The moment he opened the door, he saw the Wolf Beast pacing in the main hall. Mi Yin let out a cold laugh and advanced on him, swaying his serpentine tail and staring straight ahead.
The Silver Wolf’s eyes were bloodshot as he stared intently at the approaching Snake Beast. The air between them crackled with hostility.
He had been jolted awake in the night by the sounds. ’That Snake Beast actually dared to treat An Jin so crudely! As expected of a Wandering Beast—he has no idea how to cherish a female!’
The more Ling Hong thought about it, the angrier he became. He was a Sixth Rank Beastman now; he no longer had to act subservient as before. He could finally have a proper, all-out fight with him!
"ROAR!" His fighting spirit ignited by rage, the Silver Wolf lowered his body and sprang forward, jaws wide as he lunged to bite and tear at the snake’s tail.
As a Wolf Beast, his bite force and combat prowess were already formidable. Now, they were terrifying; he could take down a wild beast with a single bite.
But the scales covering the python’s tail were like armor of metal and stone. His fangs merely left a few shallow marks; he failed to even draw a trickle of blood. Ling Hong was horrified. ’This level of defense... it’s not something a normal Sixth Rank Beastman should have, is it?’
’Even if he’s not at the Seventh Rank yet, he must be on the verge of breaking through.’
In the brief instant that Ling Hong was stunned, Mi Yin seized the opportunity. His body fully transformed into a giant python, and in a flash, he ensnared the Silver Wolf in his thick, long tail. His sharp fangs sank into the Silver Wolf’s flank.
Blood soaked its silver-white fur.
"HISSS~" ’So this is your strength now? Utterly useless.’
Mi Yin hadn’t intended to deal a killing blow; he hadn’t even used his venom. With the air of a victor, he tossed the injured Silver Wolf to the ground like a piece of trash. His upper body morphed back into that of a bewitchingly handsome man as he mocked him without reservation, "I deliberately waited for your injuries to heal. I was curious to test the strength of a Sixth Rank Wolf Beast, but I didn’t expect you to be so pathetic."
The Silver Wolf glared at him and snorted in fury, but ultimately lowered his head in dejection. He lay silently on the ground, licking his wounds.
’I can’t let Ren Anjin wake up and see me in such a pathetic state.’
Xi was woken by the commotion. When he opened his door, he was nearly scared to death.
Seeing the two of them locked in an earth-shaking battle, he hid far off to the side. ’A mere Third Rank Beastman like me could never survive a stray hit.’
"HISSS~"
Mi Yin shot Xi a cold glance.
A chill shot through the Little Merfolk, and he froze in the doorway, not daring to move. Fortunately, Mi Yin only gave him a passing glance before swaying his serpentine tail and heading out the door in a hurry.
...
An Jin woke up in the evening, rubbing her eyes wearily. She stared blankly at the ceiling for a long moment before her senses returned. Slowly, she climbed out of bed and opened the door.
The sight that met her eyes was a hall in complete disarray.
"..." She froze for a moment, her eyes darting around before landing on Ling Hong and Xi, who were cleaning up the room.
Mi Yin, however, was nowhere to be seen.
She stepped out to help them tidy up. "What happe—" She cut herself off as she saw Ling Hong’s injuries—two bloody gashes on his flank that had yet to close.
In an instant, she understood most of what had happened.
’That Mi Yin...!’
’He’s really too much.’
An Jin was so angry she wanted to curse. ’Is he so bored at home that he has nothing better to do? Why is he bullying Ling Hong again?!’
An Jin put the stone basin back in its place and walked over to the dejected Ling Hong. She looked at his wounds with concern. "Let me clean and bandage those for you. Otherwise, they might get infected."
"There’s no need."
Ling Hong shook his head, refusing her kind offer. He listlessly continued picking up the shattered stone bowls from the floor. "These wounds will heal on their own. The herbs are precious; they should be saved for tribesmen who really need them."
For a Beastman, being injured by a rival in a fight over a female was a deeply humiliating experience. He couldn’t accept her concern with a clear conscience.
Ling Hong had a stoic personality and would endure it, but Xi couldn’t stomach the injustice.
The look that Snake Beast had given him was icy and bloodthirsty. A lingering fear still gripped Xi’s heart; the beast had clearly wanted to swat him dead with a single flick of his tail.
’Luckily, the Snake Beast looked down on him for being a mere Third Rank Beastman. Otherwise, he would have made an example out of him already.’
