Chapter 100: Chapter 95: Leaving the Tribe

An Jin couldn’t help but collapse against his chest, her body going limp. After a long moment, she heard him murmur against her ear, "Just a little longer."

"..." She was truly exhausted, unable to utter a single word.

By the time the night sky began to show the first light of dawn, Mi Yin finally let her go. The man, sated, bent down and kissed the corner of her eye, his red pupils filled with an unprecedented, deep pleasure.

He reached out, tucking the damp strands of hair from her temple behind her ear. His fingertips then slid down to caress her waist and abdomen. Mi Yin’s entire being exuded a clingy, lingering sensuality.

An Jin was in no mood to share a post-coital moment of clarity with him. "Help me prepare some more hot water. I want to take another bath."

Perhaps it was a Snake Beast’s instinct, but he always tried to push deeper. Concerned about things like infection, An Jin wanted to rinse off.

"Alright." Mi Yin bent down to give her a kiss on the lips, then slipped out of the wooden tub with a SPLASH of water.

A short while later, he had new hot water ready for her. After carrying her into the wooden tub and washing her, he dried her off and dressed her in a clean animal-skin skirt.

An Jin’s body relaxed. She was dead tired. The moment she lay down on the bed, she passed out again, not waking until she was roused by hunger the following afternoon.

She could smell a fragrant aroma from far away.

She saw that Ling Hong had already prepared a table full of food. ’Strange, why is it so lavish today?’

As An Jin walked toward the dining table, she looked up and noticed that both Ling Hong and Xi seemed dejected today, their spirits unusually low.

Mi Yin, on the other hand, exuded an air of laziness. He had taken his snake form and was coiled up asleep in a corner, his body bulging like a small hill, likely digesting a recent meal.

Seeing his snake form, An Jin’s face flushed slightly. She couldn’t help but recall that, aside from being a little tired, it had actually been quite pleasant. After all, he would restrain himself and try his best to follow her lead.

"Females are always tired after mating. Hurry up and eat something," Ling Hong urged from the side.

When Ling Hong and Xi saw the red marks left on her body by the Snake Beast, they felt indignant and, at the same time, even more miserable.

"Huh?"

An Jin froze for a moment. Hearing his words, her face turned an even deeper shade of red. She couldn’t help but look back at the table piled high with meat dishes. ’So all this really was prepared for me. Don’t tell me they were here the whole time?’

’Please don’t let it be what I think it is. That would be way too embarrassing.’

"HISS~" Hearing her familiar footsteps, the Red Snake lifted its head to look at her and flicked its tongue. This time, however, it didn’t stop Ling Hong and Xi from approaching An Jin.

Mi Yin coiled his snake body tighter, unable to resist burying his head between his coils, hiding a mix of shyness and anticipation.

This was his first time mating with a female, and he couldn’t help but savor the memory of every scene from last night, along with the female’s cries...

The usually lazy him had made a rare trip out to hunt diligently, swallowing a prey animal to conserve energy in preparation for the next prolonged mating session.

An Jin was absolutely starving, so she didn’t overthink it and began to devour the food on the table with her chopsticks. Then, out of the corner of her eye, she suddenly glimpsed a wound on Ling Hong’s hand.

It had just scabbed over but was still bleeding a little. ’Did he accidentally cut his hand while cooking just now?’

Seeing An Jin’s gaze land on him, Ling Hong dejectedly lowered his head, deliberately avoiding her eyes. Even two rooms away, he had heard the sounds from her room in his kitchen. He had lost his composure for a moment and accidentally cut his hand with the knife.

"I might be gone for a couple of days. I won’t be able to take care of you."

The next day, Ling Hong left those words and ran out of the tribe. He was gone for several days and showed no sign of returning.

An Jin was completely stunned.

’Didn’t I tell him not to run off in the middle of winter?!’

’He clearly said two days, but he’s still not back. He couldn’t have run into some kind of danger, could he?’

An Jin was suddenly overwhelmed with anxiety and lost her appetite. She gently nudged the coiled python beside her. "Mi Yin, go outside and look for Ling Hong. I’m worried he’s run into danger."

"..."

"What’s wrong?"

Mi Yin didn’t even lift an eyelid. He said lazily, "Did he tell you where he was going?"
