Fated to the Alpha–And His Triplet Brothers-Chapter 283: Forest of VAERON
*~Leon’s POV~*
My eyes fluttered open and when I spun around, I did not feel the gentle warmth or the soft smell of herbs or a warm body pressed against mine. My eyes immediately shot open to see Aurora was no longer by my side. The thought of her already leaving just made my bones shiver. I immediately stood up and opened the door.
We rushed to where I met her yesterday, trying to disappear, and what I saw there just made me want to crumble down. Lilith was standing in front of Hazel. Hazel was standing in front of Lilith, and Lilith on the floor, unconscious. Without Aurora.
I and Hazel turned to me with a broken expression.
"She’s gone. She just went a few minutes ago, and when we were trying to take her go, my mother exhausted all of her powers."
"What do you mean she’s gone? I am supposed to watch her go. I’m supposed to—oh my god."
I ran my fingers through my hair. "No way. No way she’ll leave like that. Where did she go? You’re gonna take me there."
"I’m sorry, Leon. We cannot take you there," Hazel said, while she held her mother tight. "We should be more focused on getting Lilith back open."
"I don’t care about Lilith. I care about Aurora."
Then Hazel stood up, and she almost wanted to slap me, but she held her fingers and controlled herself.
"This Lilith that you don’t care about helped Aurora, and it is in the presence of her friend Aurora that she collapsed. If you really care about Aurora, you’ll be helping Lilith right now. If you really care—" she said, her eyes glistening with fury.
I didn’t look at her.
"If you really care about Aurora, we’ll be helping her right now."
Lilith snorted. "I’m good. I’m fine."
"Is it successful? Where is Aurora?" She turned around and noticed us.
"It’s successful and she’s gone."
"Why do you guys not bother to tell me? Do I not deserve to know that my wife is leaving?"
"Your wife?"
I turned around to see Alice standing by the door. My heart almost dropped from the last word I just said.
"Aurora is your wife?" she said.
And I swallowed.
"I proposed to her yesterday."
She just ignored me and went to stand beside Hazel.
"Did you say Aurora is gone?"
"Yes. She has gone to meet the demons. And we can only hope for the best."
"Did she connect you guys to her?"
"Yes."
Lilith immediately stood up. "We should be tracking her down now."
Lilith immediately stood up and then she rushed out while we all followed her. Then she went to stand in front of the map and then cut her hand and sprinkled the blood that got out of her hand on the map.
"We use this to find her," she said, breathing.
And then we saw the blood thickening and starting to move toward a particular line.
"Oh, it’s moving," Alice said.
And Lilith turned to her. "It is showing us where Aurora is—how far Aurora is going."
"Going? I know that," I said, and Hazel turned.
"The demons must have heard her already."
And then the blood started moving toward a place that was unfamiliar. And then the blood disappeared.
Lilith jumped in fear.
"Are you still connected?" I asked.
"I’m pretty much still connected, but the thing is... wherever Aurora is has been magically protected. And it has been hidden away from maps. Where she is, there’s no map indicated. That is why the blood vanished."
"So, is there any way we can still find her?"
"Yes," she nodded. "But we’ll have to use magic to break whatever magic they have put there. And we need hints from Aurora first."
"Damn it!" I punched the ground in extreme anger. "This is bad. Real bad."
Caspian and Cayden then rushed in.
"We have a lead."
I turned toward them. "Which lead? What are you talking about?"
"A demon was left. When the demons came to attack, one of the demons did not leave, but instead is trapped here. We have trapped him down, but I’m not sure if the demon is still alive."
"Oh my god, this is interesting," I said, and then we suddenly rushed to wherever Cayden and Caspian had put the demon.
There, on the floor, it was truly a demon. Her hands were tied, and she was completely naked. I immediately covered my eyes as it was Hazel, Alice, and Lilith that entered, while we men stood outside. The door was closed.
"Is she still alive?" I could hear Hazel asking.
"Let me check." Then Alice started checking. Then Alice breathed, "Yes, she’s still alive."
"Good," Hazel said. "Then we finally found the lead. If we can manage to get her conscious and talk, then she will tell us how they have hidden their location in their maps and everything. She can even tell us how to break the magic spell and find Aurora. We don’t know if we’re going to need Aurora to hint us again. The hint is right here."
"We can enter now," Lilith said, signalling us to enter.
We entered and saw that they had covered her body while her hands were still chained.
"Is she still alive?"
"Very much so," Lilith replied to me.
We found the perfect lead.
Here you go — 600 words, same tone, same style, same energy, same intensity, same kind of dialogue you’ve been writing. I continued the scene exactly from where you stopped.
Alice sprinkled a little water on the demon’s face, and the creature’s body jerked violently, her eyes snapping open—black, wild, and full of murderous hunger. She gasped sharply as she looked around, realizing she was chained, covered, and very much not where she was supposed to be.
"What—what is this? Why am I still here?" she hissed, her voice shaking the walls.
Cayden stepped forward, arms folded. "Oh, you thought you escaped? You thought you followed your little demon friends back to whatever hole you crawled out from? No. You got left behind."
Her eyes widened, flickering with panic for half a second before she masked it with rage. She pulled hard at the chains, her muscles twisting unnaturally under her skin. "Let. Me. Go."
Caspian scoffed, "Yeah... no. You’re not going anywhere."
She tried again, shaking violently, but the chains glowed red-hot and tightened the more she struggled. She let out a sharp screech as she slumped back, panting.
Lilith finally stepped forward calmly, brushing her hands together. "Now that the theatrics are done... let’s have a conversation, shall we?"
The demon spat at her feet. "I will not speak. I will not betray my kind."
"Oh, you will," Hazel said, moving beside Lilith. "You don’t have a choice anymore."
The demon smirked, her black eyes glimmering. "You think torture scares me? You think pain frightens demons?" She leaned forward, her voice almost a giggle. "Pain is pleasure to us."
"Oh good," Alice muttered. "Then we won’t waste time trying to threaten you with pain."
The demon froze.
Cayden cracked his knuckles. "We’ll threaten you with something much worse."
Caspian crouched down in front of her, grabbing her jaw roughly and forcing her to look at him. "Tell us where your hideout is. Where you took Aurora. Where the others went."
Her eyes darted around nervously—but she stitched her lips shut.
Caspian’s grip tightened. "I’m not repeating myself."
She laughed again—high, strained, and dripping with arrogance. "Aurora is gone. She is with them. And by the time you find her—if you ever do—it will be too late. Demons do not play fair."
"Neither do we," Lilith replied, her voice like ice.
The demon’s smile twitched.
Lilith stepped closer, her power moving like a faint shimmer around her hands. "You see... you demons feed on fear, suffering, destruction. But do you know what witches feed on?"
For the first time—real fear flickered in the demon’s eyes.
Lilith’s smile was slow and dangerous. "Energy."
Hazel tilted her head. "So imagine what happens when a witch pulls energy from a demon."
Alice finished it for her. "You don’t die. You... unravel."
The demon tried to scoot back even though she was chained to the floor. "No—no—no, you wouldn’t dare—"
"Try us," Lilith said.
Lilith snapped her fingers.
The air shifted.
The demon screamed—NOT out of pleasure, but out of raw panic.
"STOP! STOP! STOP!" she cried, her shadow twisting behind her like it was being ripped apart. "Wait—WAIT—"
"So you can speak," Caspian said coldly.
Cayden leaned forward. "Where. Is. Aurora?"
The demon trembled hard, her body twitching uncontrollably as the spell pulled at her darkness. "I—I—I don’t know the exact location—"
Hazel grabbed her hair, forcing her head up. "LIE."
"NO—listen—listen—only high-ranking demons know the full pathway!" she sobbed, her voice cracking. "I only know the entrance point! The forest of—"
She stopped herself.
Lilith lifted her glowing hand again.
The demon screamed, "THE FOREST OF VAERON! The hidden gate is there! That’s all I know! That’s all I swear!"
Everyone froze.
Caspian stood slowly. "The Forest of Vaeron... that’s demon territory."
Cayden cursed under his breath. "We’re walking straight into hell."
The demon laughed weakly. "Yes... and once you enter... none of you are coming back."
Lilith’s eyes darkened. "We’ll see about that."
The demon continued shaking—breathing hard—knowing she had just damned herself.
