Fated: The Alpha's Unwanted Luna-Chapter 121: The invitation_Part 2
It wasn’t Leni’s fault, but it was always annoying when he needed something solved and she brought up a stupid, completely unrelated solution, unlike that bitch who would bring up a brilliant idea as if her brain were a machine that thought of ideas every second of the day. He had never seen a woman as smart as her, and that only made Evan dislike her, for she made him feel like his own brain was a mush of shit and gave him insecurities.
Leni was beautiful, a delicate flower one would want to protect and shield, and though she lacked the brilliance to help him run this pack, she had everything that made him feel strong enough to rule. She gave him the security that bitch didn’t, and more than ever, his Leni wasn’t evil with a twisted, dark heart. She was filled with love for him, a genuine kind, but despite that, he knew he still needed the brain behind what had brought him to this position.
That was why he would need this opportunity to take that woman back from Ember one way or another. Since Ember would soon become the Supreme Luna, she wouldn’t be needing that ugly, disfigured woman anymore. All he had to do was give Viola some food and water and proper sleeping arrangements like the other omegas here, and if she refused, he could threaten her with the fact that he could throw her back to the hollow quarters.
That thought made Evan laugh, and he pulled back from the kiss to cup Leni’s beautiful cheeks as he said, "You were right, giving Ember that bitch was a good idea. I want you to dress beautifully for that ceremony because I want us to make a good impression on the Supreme Alpha so he gives Moonwillow back everything it deserves."
"When are we going?" Leni asked, happy and eager to travel, also glad that whatever issues she had been having with Evan seemed to have naturally resolved themselves with this wonderful invitation they had received.
"It says that we will get picked up by the Alpha’s jet in three days from now. We are going with the Lindens as it says they are also invited." 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
Leni beamed even more at the thought that the Alpha’s jet would personally come for them. How lucky she was to have been smart enough to give Ember a grand welcome when she came months ago! Leni couldn’t help but think this was an opportunity to spend some vacation in the Silver Pack, enjoy the luxury, and relish her victory of stealing Evan away from that bitch. If she hadn’t, she would never have gotten the chance to ever set foot into her dream pack.
"Send the news to Beta Eliot about the invitation so they can also prepare for the travel," Evan said to one of his warriors.
"Yes, Alpha!"
Just as Evan was happy about the invitation, the Lindens who received the news were also over the moon with happiness. Beta Eliot even sat with his elder daughter, as he no longer considered that abomination he had adopted as one of his own anymore and had removed her from the title of his eldest, giving it to his blood and flesh daughter, Nancy, because that was how it ought to be.
Had he been patient with his wife a little longer, they wouldn’t have even needed to adopt that girl, on whom they had placed such high hopes, believing she would bring them nothing but greatness and repay them for changing her life. But in the end, what had she brought them? Disgrace and humiliation. Rather than holding tight to the Alpha heir, she had lost him and dashed all their hopes in her. She was nothing but useless.
"Nancy, you know now that Moonwillow is declining, it will be good for you to take advantage of this trip we will soon have to secure a mate in the Silver Pack and also make friends with Ember," Beta Eliot said to his daughter, who was seventeen but looked older than her age.
"I know, Daddy. You shouldn’t worry. Ember and I spoke during that moon festival, and she promised me a position among her circle," she assured him, beaming, unable to put into words how happy she had become these past few years without Viola in their life, who she constantly had to compete with for her own parents’ attention.
Nancy found it completely unfair that her father had once favored an adopted daughter over his real daughter, but she had soon realized the reason he had favored Viola was because he expected her to become so much and to repay their kindness for adopting her from the slums. But she had disappointed them the day she turned out wolfless, and Evan had discarded her.
Now that Nancy was old enough to find her own mate, she knew she would also have to do better, to find someone better to make her father even prouder. Now that this opportunity had arisen for them to go to the Silver Pack, Nancy planned to latch onto Ember. She’d heard the Supreme Alpha had other cousins, and she could catch one of their interests, who knows?
That thought made her so excited that she grinned, but the grin soon faded when she thought of something and asked her happy father, "Do you think we will meet her there?"
Beta Eliot knew who she was referring to without her having to say a name. "Even if we meet Viola there, which I doubt because Ember wouldn’t bring someone like that to such a prestigious place, Viola is no longer a part of our family. She is nothing but an outsider, and you are to treat her like a stranger and someone beneath you."
"Yes, I also agree," Nancy’s mother echoed her husband. "She has disappointed us enough. We don’t need any more embarrassment from her. If you and your brother come across her, you don’t know her, don’t let anyone associate dirt like that with our clean family name."
Nancy took their words like law and nodded. "You don’t need to tell me. I know to avoid disappointments like Viola." She was already old enough to know what type of people she should have around her. Her former sister wasn’t that kind; she would likely stick with her cousin, Leni, or Ember, those were her ideal people. Nancy thought this, excited.
"I can’t wait for the day!"
