Fate-Defying Demon Emperor-Chapter 147: Tian Yunshan’s Killing Intent
In Qingmo City, Su Han and Tongyan returned directly to the Myriad Treasures Pavilion branch. Only here did they feel truly safe.
"Su Han, rest for now. If you need anything, just tell the maidservant."
Tongyan had to go absorb the Destiny of the Bloodthirsty Junior Demon Lord. After saying goodbye to Su Han, she departed.
Su Han didn’t feel bored staying alone in his room. Reaching out, he retrieved the Yin Blood Demon Pill from the Bloodthirsty Junior Demon Lord’s Storage Ring. The elixir was entirely crimson, like blood, and emanated a thick, bloody stench. Yet, within such an evil elixir was a rich vitality, as if it were the product of something taken to its opposite extreme.
Su Han knew little about elixirs, but since his master had said it could repair Ning Feifan’s Dantian, it must be possible.
I hope this elixir can help Ning Feifan!
Su Han solemnly placed the Yin Blood Demon Pill into his Bronze Ring. He had made a promise to Ning Feifan and was determined to fulfill it.
The objective of this trip has been accomplished. With the Bloodthirsty Junior Demon Lord dead, my A-grade mission is complete. I also successfully obtained the Yin Blood Demon Pill, so there’s hope for repairing Ning Feifan’s Dantian. Furthermore, I’ve acquired two Dao Artifacts and numerous other treasures; the rewards were substantial. As for the Great Destruction Qinggang Charm, it was snatched from Yan Liu’s hands anyway, and I also used it to slay the Xuanyin Junior Demon Lord, so it wasn’t a waste.
Su Han took inventory of his spoils and mentally summarized the trip, feeling quite satisfied with the current situation.
Su Han’s eyes gleamed. And this time, there was an unexpected gain as well. The Black Scorpion Poison Venerable’s Supreme Cave Mansion was an unexpected delight. He had also obtained a pool of Spiritual Liquid and successfully broken through to the Phenomenon Realm. The only regret was that the Supreme Cave Mansion hadn’t fully opened; he would have to wait for the next opportunity to explore the remaining eight stone doors.
Only one month remains before my three-month agreement with Qian Xuan. I hope the Supreme Cave Mansion emerges later so that after I slay Qian Xuan, I’ll be just in time to seize that opportunity.
Calculating the time, Su Han offered a silent prayer.
The divine demon corresponding to the Crimson Flame Emperor Body hasn’t fully awakened yet. I’ll head back to the Seven Stars Sect after that threat is resolved!
Su Han had long since devoured Luo Hongyi’s Crimson Flame Emperor Body, but the corresponding divine demon in the Prison Divine Palace would take longer to revive than the Three-Eyed Divine Demon. There were still a few days to go.
Not wanting to waste time, Su Han took out blocks of Spirit Gold from his Storage Ring, deciding to use this opportunity to continue refining his Great Luo Golden Bone.
In the days that followed, Tongyan absorbed Destiny while Su Han refined his Great Luo Golden Bone. Both continued to grow stronger, and life returned to a peaceful routine.
But this tranquility did not last long, for on the fourth day, an uninvited guest arrived in Qingmo City.
BOOM!
A tremendous wave of kingly might surged through the sky above Qingmo City. A middle-aged man in a dragon robe, exuding an imposing majesty, appeared in the air above the Myriad Treasures Pavilion.
"Tongyan! Su Han! Get out here, both of you!"
The middle-aged man’s roar was like rolling thunder, shaking people’s eardrums until they could hardly bear it. The people of Qingmo City looked up at this figure, their faces filled with shock and terror.
"Tian Yunshan! Why has he come?"
This middle-aged man was none other than Yun Mokong’s father, Tian Yunshan, the king of the Tiayun Dynasty.
WHOOSH!
A streak of rainbow light flew out from the Myriad Treasures Pavilion. It was Tongyan, but beside her stood an old man with a goatee. He was the Pavilion Master of this branch, possessing the strength of the Ninth Layer of the Physique Realm.
Hearing Tian Yunshan’s voice, Su Han also emerged from his room, flying into the sky to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Tongyan. He didn’t need to guess; he knew Tian Yunshan had come to hold them accountable for his son’s, Yun Mokong’s, death.
Sure enough, upon seeing Tongyan and Su Han, Tian Yunshan’s gaze sharpened, becoming as fierce as a hawk’s, making it impossible to meet his eyes.
Staring straight at them to discern any clue from their faces, he demanded, "Tongyan. Su Han. I ask you, where is my son now?"
Yun Mokong was his proudest son, having become a Star Child of the Seven Stars Sect at a young age with a limitless future ahead of him. But after following Tongyan and the others to hunt the Bloodthirsty Junior Demon Lord, he had gone missing, his fate unknown. Tian Yunshan had investigated in Biyun City and even tracked down the Eighteen Prisons Formation, but he still found no trace of his son. When he learned that Su Han and Tongyan had returned to Qingmo City, he flew into a rage and rushed here to demand answers.
"Tian Yunshan, Yun Mokong sacrificed himself in the battle against the Bloodthirsty Junior Demon Lord," Tongyan said.
Her words caused Tian Yunshan’s expression to change drastically. His kingly might erupted with violent force, making everyone feel as if disaster was upon them.
With an unchanged expression, Tongyan calmly recounted what happened. She explained that they had received intelligence that the Bloodthirsty Junior Demon Lord had appeared in Biyun City, so they went to hunt him down, only to fall into his ambush. She included details of the Eighteen Prisons Formation and the appearance of the Yinsha and Xuanyin Junior Demon Lords. Of course, she altered the ending. In her version, Yun Mokong had self-detonated to take the Xuanyin Junior Demon Lord down with him, turning the tide of battle and securing their victory.
Afterward, Tongyan produced the corpse of the Bloodthirsty Junior Demon Lord, its Destiny fully absorbed, and had Su Han take out the corpse of the Yinsha Junior Demon Lord. As for Yun Mokong and the Xuanyin Junior Demon Lord, they were inside Su Han’s Bronze Ring, far beyond even Tian Yunshan’s ability to detect.
"Impossible! My son was young, but how could he have perished here? You must have been the ones who killed him!"
Tongyan’s story was nine parts truth and one part lie, making it difficult to find any flaws. But Tian Yunshan could not accept Yun Mokong’s death. His anger flared, and he reached out to grab Su Han and Tongyan. He decided to capture the two of them for a slow interrogation; no matter what, his son could not have died so inexplicably.
As Tian Yunshan made his move, the goateed old man beside Tongyan swiftly intervened, blocking the strike.
"Tian Yunshan, Miss Tongyan is a Titled Child of our Myriad Treasures Pavilion. Do you wish to make an enemy of our Myriad Treasures Pavilion?"
Although the goateed elder was only in the Physique Realm, he had the Myriad Treasures Pavilion backing him and was completely unfazed by Tian Yunshan. His sharp shout was thick with menace.
Tian Yunshan clenched his teeth in hatred, but the words "Myriad Treasures Pavilion" were like an invisible mountain, suffocating him.
"Tian Yunshan, I have made the sequence of events very clear," Tongyan declared, facing him without a trace of fear, her presence utterly commanding. "If you don’t believe me, you are free to investigate thoroughly. But if you try to use this as an excuse to cause trouble, the Myriad Treasures Pavilion will not be intimidated!"
The pain of losing his son drove Tian Yunshan’s hatred to a fever pitch, but the threat of the Myriad Treasures Pavilion forced him to suppress his murderous intent. Otherwise, forget about revenge; he feared the entire Tiayun Dynasty might be destroyed.
"I will get to the bottom of my son’s death. If you were not responsible, I will personally apologize. But if I discover you were involved, do not blame this king for showing the Myriad Treasures Pavilion no respect!"
Tian Yunshan suppressed the rage in his heart, his voice cold. He then transformed into a streak of light and departed.
Watching Tian Yunshan leave, Su Han knew that the matter was far from over.
