Fantasy Realm – Infinite Worlds Adventure-Chapter 336: Exciting Auction
Snazzik continues smiling, clearly pleased with the crowd as he sells more and more of Alex’s items.
This guy’s doing better than I expected. 58,000 for the Green items, and now 120,000 for the Skillbook and the sword. This is really quite decent!
Snazzik raises his hands, and the hall gradually quiets down.
“Now, players. Take a breath—calm down. We’re selling six Light Gold quality [Chakra Metal] bars!”
He shares the item details on a huge screen floating above the stage.
[Chakra Metal]
World: Naruto
Quality: Light Gold
Type: Metal
Effect: High-quality crafting material, at the very top of the world. This metal has a unique effect of absorbing the chakra of its user granting it additional properties depending on the Chakra user’s affinity.
Note: One of the biggest treasures of the world of Naruto. This bar is not very large, but it is extremely pure.
“Surely I don’t need to tell you how rare and precious this material is, right?” he says with a smug grin.
“We’re selling the entire stack together, and you might be surprised—but we’re starting at 300,000 FC. Not a single FC less. 50,000 FC per Light Gold-quality crafting item is not too exaggerated at all! You are in for a bargain here!”
“Before we begin, however, there will be a rule change. To protect the buyer’s identity—especially from other players or potential threats—this and the next bid will be anonymous. You all know the rule: if the price surpasses 200,000 FC, we organizers may deem it necessary to shield the buyer’s identity. Of course, this is voluntary—if you want to reveal yourself, go ahead. But for those who don’t… bid to your hearts’ content!”
Makes sense to bid anonymously. Otherwise, strong players just have to glare at you to scare you into backing down. This is actually good for me. That’s already a decent starting point—will people be interested though? If nobody bids, I’ll have to sell it on my own. Maybe they’re all counting on that.
“500,000 FC! Don’t even contest us on this one!” a rough-looking man shouts, surrounded by a group of equally dangerous men.
Hmmm. Is that good or bad? I think 500,000 FC is a decent price?
Alex notices Glimmerwhisk turning toward him, leaning forward with a sweet yet strangely ominous smile, gesturing for Alex to come closer.
He leans closer as well, as she whispers, “Don’t worry. I’ve placed some people around who will drive up the price. Expect at least 600,000 FC.”
“I… thank you,” Alex responds, caught off guard by the gesture.
That’s very nice of her! Still… these rules make no sense. She can’t outright gift me items, but she can use shady tactics with proxies? Looks like she’s using every loophole possible.
“No problem. I take care of my little pets,” she says, smiling as she plants a quick kiss on his cheek—then immediately turns away.
Alex, thoroughly surprised, leans back in his seat, barely paying attention.
A loud shout snaps him back to reality:
“SOLD FOR 680,000 FC!” Snazzik roars.
Alex blinks, noticing the rough-looking man from earlier has won the item. His smile now looks a little strained.
Not bad. Over 100,000 FC per crafting item? That’s a great result. I would’ve kept them myself, but without a solid Chakra skill, weapons made from them would be useless to me. This seems more than fair.
A large portion of the audience—especially the newer players—cheer and chatter excitedly, clearly not used to seeing such massive sums of FC flying around.
“This is fun, isn’t it?!” Snazzik laughs. “And now—one of the highlights! Many of you probably don’t even know them—special items that grant Innate Skills! They don’t take up skill slots, and they give you massively powerful abilities! Of course, there are limitations… find them out yourself—however, I am not your teacher!”
“This one in particular is great for anyone going down the Chakra path. But… it has a huge downside! The corresponding Jutsus are just as rare as the Innate Skill itself. In fact, players only get two chances in the entire Naruto timeline to acquire them. Without those Jutsus, the skill on its own isn’t all that impressive.”
“But today—miraculously—we have both items in one bundle! It might be ‘only’ a Deep Purple skill, but paired together, this combo has massive potential. I dare say whoever gets this could become a real powerhouse.”
“Now listen here, folks—we’re bundling them! [Kekkei Genkai: Ice Release] and [Jutsu: Yuki-clan Collection]! Starting bid: 1,000,000 FC! Bidding will go up in 10,000 FC steps. This is one of the top-tier items of the entire auction. I won’t sell it to cheapskates that are too ignorant to recognize its value!
“We’re taking a short two-minute break. Discuss with your friends or guildmates. I’ll display the full details again so you know exactly what’s on the table!”
Alex watches Snazzik display the item stats again as murmurs spread through the crowd. He glances down at the hall.
Many people are losing their minds over the effects. But some… look confused. Even unimpressed.
How can they be unimpressed?!
Princess Jewel thinks these Peasants are only capable of thinking in terms of rarity. Six Light Gold items sold for 680,000 FC. So how can two Deep Purple items be worth more? These players are obviously too stupid to recognize the true value of an item granting an Innate Skill.
Tereza is the best example of how powerful these items are. She’s nearly invincible, able to escape most attacks—and she’s freer than most players and can explore worlds by air travel. These kinds of items give massive boosts in specific areas, along with unique abilities you can’t get any other way.
These idiot Peasants couldn’t even afford such an item, so you are fine, Soulmate!
Alex nervously looks down toward the stage as the countdown ticks away.
Finally, Snazzik yells in an excited tone, “Let’s do this! Don’t waste this one-of-a-kind opportunity! Such a rare occurrence—both items being sold together—might never happen again!”
“1 MILLION! I see someone bidding immediately. Even some of the more experienced players are showing interest. If you’re following the Chakra path, this is a rare treasure indeed!” Snazzik shouts, clearly excited, seemingly enjoying the action.
Alex then sees a new bid: 1,100,000 FC—and smiles.
The first bidder immediately counters, raising the price by another 100,000 FC.
Five different parties begin participating in the bidding war.
By now, everyone is only raising the price in increments of 10,000 or 20,000 FC—no one wants to waste time with threats or tricks. Everyone is just aiming to win at the lowest price possible.
As the price hits 1,410,000 FC, one of the bidders—a woman around Alex’s age—screams out, “Fight me if you want, I’ll win it at any price!” and raises the bid to 1,500,000 FC.
Glimmerwhisk turns around and says, “This is more than fair. Frankly, even at 1,000,000 FC this would’ve been a fantastic deal, Alex. We have to accept this. The people owing me favors don’t have enough FC left to keep bidding, and the risks are too high.”
“It’s fine! I’m not complaining! I don’t even know what to do with that much FC! This is all too much for me!” Alex says, completely losing his sense of money.
This is insane?! Is this real?! Even after subtracting the fees… I’ll be rich!
“Looks like we have someone determined to go all the way! If it isn’t the icy maiden—our recently guildless and forever single maiden!” Snazzik shouts. “Even after all that drama with her and her former guild leader, she’s still rich! Maybe she really does want to freeze the world—now that her heart has turned cold as ice!”
“SHUT UP, YOU NASTY GOBLIN! I’LL SKIN YOU ALIVE! DO YOUR JOB OR I’M COMPLAINING TO THE UNION!” the woman shrieks, as everyone laughs and stares at her.
Alex inspects her, spotting a beautiful blonde woman screaming at Snazzik, who just flashes a cruel smile in return.
“Any more bids? If someone this famous wants it, surely that should convince the rest of you!” Snazzik grins, clearly stalling to raise the price.
But nobody else bids.
Snazzik sighs, then calls out, “Fine… going once… going twice… and sold for 1,500,000 FC to our icy maiden—or whatever’s left of her after Guildmaster Darik is done with her! Hehe!”
What the fuck is this drama? I’m here for money and items—keep your relationship problems out of this! Does this goblin have a personal grudge against her or what?
Princess Jewel is interested in this drama! Soulmate should ask Glimmerwhisk for an explanation later!
This reminds me of trashy, cheap TV productions. Or outright reality shows. Don’t get invested in this garbage.
As Alex’s part in the auction concludes, he checks his earnings.
You received 1,768,500 FC
58,000 FC, 120,000 FC, 680,000 FC, and 1,500,000 FC... subtract 25%... Yep. It’s all there. Perfect!
After the 25% auction fee is deducted, Alex sees his total balance: a colossal 2,006,000 FC. frёewebηovel.cѳm
Fantasy Coins: 2,006,000 Soul Crystals: Small x20 Medium x5 Fantasy Shards: 131
The auction continues swiftly. Alex watches as a Light Purple Devil Fruit is brought out. It’s the Inu Inu no Mi: Model Jackal, the fruit once eaten by Chaka, royal guard of Arabasta.
Alex quickly analyzes it. The additional bonus stats are similar to Tereza’s fruit, though the overall total is a bit lower. It grants a solid amount of STR and PHY, with a small boost to AGI and SNS. To his surprise the fruit sells for over 400,000 FC!
Always these shitty Zoans! This is so boring! Is the Realm doing this on purpose, huh?
Finally, a Purple Quality Paramecia is revealed—[Doru Doru no Mi], the Wax-Wax Fruit. Alex scans the details quickly. It grants multiple wax-based abilities, all powered by MP.
So this Paramecia is more like a traditional skillbook—offering a lot of versatile abilities and spells. But no extra stats. Paramecias give you special, creative powers, but not raw power. I guess Zoans are better than I thought. You can always rely on stats—especially for dumb players without much strategy… kinda like Tereza. And maybe myself, admittedly. Zoan seems like a solid choice.
Though my tactics do involve deception and cheap shots at least. Tereza’s got none of that. Hehe. I win.
The Paramecia sells for 515,000 FC—a respectable sum. A few more items are sold. Alex even spots a couple of Deep Purple items—but they seem player-crafted and unimpressive, making him realize the auction is nearing its end.
“Now, we’ve got a Light Gold armor!” Snazzik shouts. “Feast your eyes on the precious [Ebony Mail], a gift from a certain Daedric Prince, sold by Samir, the famous leader of the Seekers!”
[Ebony Mail]
World: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Quality: Light Gold
Type: Armor (Heavy plate armor)
Required Stats: STR - 12, PHY - 10, AGI - 10, SNS - 10, MND - 10
Durability: 140/140
Effect: Muffle - Renders your steps silent and makes you harder to detect by various skills.
Effect: Increases CHA, SNS, and AGI by 2 (Flat boost, not increased by skills)
Effect: Causes 5 Poison damage every second to nearby enemies within 2 meters of the player. Activating this effect drains 10 MP per minute.
Note: A gift from the Daedric Prince Boethiah.
Note: Boethiah is the Daedric Prince of deceit, conspiracy, murder, treachery, sedition, torture, and cruelty. Aligning yourself with him will lead to a fate filled with suffering and struggle! Carefully think about your future actions!
“This is incredible,” Alex notes.
Should I bid on it?
He checks the bidding—already underway.
“1337, bid 500,000! Don’t hide my identity,” Alex says, eager to join.
[Acknowledged, Host!]
“Oh, we have a bid of 500,000 FC from Player 1337—the generous donor of our Naruto spoils from earlier! That’s what I like to see from my dear players! Sell your unneeded items and then spend your wealth! Only idiots hoard FC and risk dying with full pockets!” Snazzik says in a voice filled with greed.
The price continues climbing. At 650,000 FC, Alex shakes his head.
I’ve got my armor set. This is a nice armor, but I’m not sure it’s worth it. My current build’s all about lethal melee strikes and ranged options. This armor’s for tanky, sneaky types who want to stay close to their target.
Alex gives up on the bid.
“Now, before we sell our highlight of the night, I’d like you to direct your attention towards this beautiful item here,” Snazzik says, holding up a mysterious piece of parchment.
This is what Glimmerwhisk hinted at! We need to get it no matter the cost, Jewel!
Yes, Soulmate!
[Dream Ticket]
Quality: Deep Purple
Type: World Item / Quest Item
