“Yeah, more spoils for us!” one greedy wizard smiles as if drunk and immediately grabs the Portkey—an old metal boot, instantly disappearing.

“Wait, the Portkey didn’t disappear with him?!” a weirdly clothed wizard wearing an orange robe asks.

“Fool, this one stays here, so we can always return. There’s probably also a left boot—that’s where our destination is,” another wizard replies.

Does it work like that? Is this a new kind of two-way Portkey? I didn’t think this was possible! This is bad… it also means they can probably deactivate the boot connecting the other item to this place. This is all going too fast. I also agreed to the quest without thinking. I feel something’s wrong with my mind—was I drugged?! I smell something weird inside this damn room! This all feels like a trap! My head is spinning…

Wizard after wizard enters until only Alex is left….

No other choice! Damn, this is all going so fast!

Since Alex has already accepted the contract, he grabs the boot and feels himself getting magically warped to a faraway place.

His sight grows wobbly as he sees space warp all around him. Alex calms down using his Aura and endures silently despite his body violently warping through space.

It takes just five seconds for Alex to land in an open field. He sees the other wizards, some looking kind of distraught.

In the distance, he spots a huge castle—obviously the place where their supposed debtors are located.

Alex stares at the boot and sees no one else arriving after them.

Yeah, this is a trap… I just know it! I just don’t know if the goblins are merely using us as meat shields or maybe…

Alex takes a good look at the other wizards. Some are shaking, some look almost stoned as if they were high on something—similar to what Alex felt moments ago—while a few of them just smile naively.

These guys are all trash! I better disappear! This crisis also comes with opportunity. Let’s see what I can get out of it.

Alex sees the wizards talking chaotically among themselves, some even screaming, visibly confused.

These are all liabilities! I need to get rid of them! Let’s bail and spectate for now, until I have some sort of idea what game is being played here!

He uses Zetsu and quickly but silently walks into a nearby forested area. As soon as he’s out of sight, he begins to sprint, running a large loop around the nearby castle positioned on a small hill. Looking for a suitable entry point, Alex checks his available Annihilation Grenades, just to make sure if he has a way to cause chaos, allowing him to flee.

Thankfully, I have the full 14 grenades with me! I didn’t expect to need them, but the time in that city was so boring that I kept up with the daily Conjuration. Sadly, I don’t have my bow with me, as it’s currently being repaired! This isn’t looking good!

Alex quickly climbs up the hill and uses his empowered Nen jumps to reach a nearby balcony. He then jumps even higher until he reaches the roof of the small castle. To his absolute delight, the castle has a small indoor garden that’s open from the top and easily accessible from the roof, allowing Alex to enter the castle at any time should he want to do so.

Alex walks around the roof until he hears numerous voices. He lies down on the roof, puts his head against the floor, and uses Gyo to push his hearing to its absolute limit.

Not used to such a way to use his Nen, Alex hears hundreds of voices, his head nearly exploding with all the noise. He’s unable to filter out the necessary information. Alex, trying to get an idea of what’s happening, decides to risk it and uses En, spotting dozens of people beneath him. He slowly walks to the center of the crowd and counts nearly 100 different auras, meaning at least 100 wizards or vampires are underneath him.

So many….

Alex lies down exactly above the crowd and listens again.

He hears numerous voices, not comprehending anything, but he suddenly perks up.

“Feeding time,” “Fresh supply,” “Blood,” “Deal,” “Goblins,” Alex picks up numerous keywords that make him immediately realize the truth.

FUCK! I knew something was wrong. They must have drugged me to even accept this shitty quest! It all happened so fast. So not only do the goblins not plan to help… they’ll expect us to die! Fuck, I need to get out of here. I don’t think I traveled too far, so I’m probably somewhere in the UK. The system shouldn’t punish me for this situation. I need to friggin’ leave this place and get to London somehow to re-enter Diagon Alley!

FUCK, HOW DO I GET MY BOW BACK? Fannlok, I swear, you will regret this. Asshole! Yeah, he swore on his magic, alright; he didn’t swear, though, that he wouldn’t simply kill me to get rid of me, nullifying the whole oath. I’ll fucking kill these goblins… Malfoy… you will die as well!

Alex returns to the indoor garden and spots a few vampires—in fact, it’s a couple kissing inside the garden, glasses filled with blood standing next to them on a bench. Their mouths are bloody as well, obviously enjoying the taste of blood and not afraid of sharing it with each other.

Fucking disgusting! However… I have an idea!

Alex, after a long time, pulls out [Jack’s Spare Silvery Mask], easily able to wear it along with his usual armor after modifying the [Visor of Pluto].

Alex silently jumps down into the garden, conjures Mustrano’s Malice Mauler lvl 4, and quickly sneaks toward the couple, of course using Zetsu to remain undetected.

Mustrano! It’s time to kill. You better be ready; the blood will be flowing tonight.

HEEEHEEEHEEE HUMAN! IT’SSSS TIME! I’VE BEEN WAITING!!! LET’SSSS FEED! Alex hears Mustrano in his mind, the manifestation of the vile snake demon obviously quite happy to finally be able to let loose again.

As Alex approaches them, he takes out his [Sword of Pluto] as well, holding it in his right hand. He then approaches through the brush behind the bench where the vampire couple is sitting, enjoying their bloody French kissing session.

In one swift motion, Alex uses the sword to behead the female vampire and pierces his left claw-like hand directly into the throat of the male vampire.

You have dealt 9999 damage to Vampire

You have killed Vampire

You have dealt 119 x 3 = 357 damage to Vampire

You have killed Vampire

You received Chest (White)

Alex picks up the chest that’s appeared in front of him and then quickly drags the corpses into the brush with him, sadly unable to put them into his inventory. He forcefully removes the long festive gown from the male vampire and dons it, wearing it over his clothes and armor. He doesn’t have a mirror, but the long gown perfectly hides everything under it, working together with his mask to make him totally unrecognizable. He can’t be identified as a wizard, or in his case, a normal human at all! Thankfully, a few of the vampires are also wearing masks, so Alex doesn’t appear out of place.

Hopefully, this party is large enough that there are people here not everyone knows… Shit, it looks like some blood got on the gown… well, they’re vampires; this should be alright. Wait, let me try something.

Alex picks up the glasses of blood from the bench—some blood still left inside—and takes off his mask. He then spreads a bit of blood onto his mask and his clothes, hopefully enough to get rid of any weird scent, hoping that even the blood-sensitive vampires won’t detect the blood of their own kin if it’s mixed with human blood.

Before entering the castle, Alex spots a rather old but tall-looking tree in the indoor garden.

If I want to get back on the roof… I can climb the tree and then make the jump from the treetop to the roof. This should work!

Alex confidently enters the castle, feeling secure as he has an easy way out, an empty glass fashionably held in his hand. He still uses Zetsu, however, to avoid drawing unwanted attention to himself. He follows along the crowd until he arrives inside a large festive ballroom with a slightly raised stage.

He notices nine fresh, wounded but barely alive wizards being brought into the hall. Alex watches in horror as they’re forcefully stuffed into what looks like a variation of an iron maiden positioned on the stage. These iron maidens however are red in color, and look like huge bats. One after the other, they’re slammed into the huge, still-open metal chambers.

“There’s one missing. Didn’t the greedy goblins promise us 10 lambs?” a vampire, who appears to be in charge, questions the guards bringing in the captured humans.

“Maybe one backed out! I’m thirsty—let’s begin already!” another one responds.

Alex uses Gyo and notices in shock that these vampires appear to be very strong, their auras indicating strong physical abilities, in addition to possible mastery over spells.

Shit, I can’t fight them all. Maybe a bunch, but not hundreds.

The chambers of the iron maidens are slammed shut, and Alex’s thoughts are violently interrupted. He sees blood flowing from under the iron chambers, along a marble pathway, directly into a very shallow basin, located a little bit lower than the stage with the iron maidens. The basin is slowly filling itself up with blood.

Fuck, this is so sadistic! Is that what excites these fucking vampires?!

Everyone is laughing and cheering as the human cries slowly grow silent, indicating their slow and painful demise.

One after another, they all walk toward the small blood-filled basin, and one of the leaders removes a small metal stopper used to block the blood, preventing it from dribbling out of the basin. As the stopper is removed, the blood flows outside of the basin, and one after the other, they hold their glasses under it, filling them up.

Fuck… I have to do it too. They’re all doing it.

Alex fills up his own glass as well and quickly disappears from the center stage, slowly backing off again, his glass now filled with the blood of the wizards he just met earlier.

To his surprise, an older-looking vampire, wearing a robe that Alex can only describe as royal, enters the large ballroom. Everyone bows down to him.

“Welcome, Lord Drakul!”
