The Wailing Hills, commonly known as the corrupted mountain range, is an area that is located exactly in the opposite direction of the desert where Jareth fought Konda.
It’s outside the border of the nation and is an uninhabitable land where not even monsters live.
It’s one of the deadliest places on this planet.
The entire area is covered with medium-sized mountains and hills all over the place, and everything in that place is heavily polluted with corruption and miasma.
Legend has it that the Wailing Hills once used to be the homeland of the ’Fairies’ and many other ’Spirits.’
But ’Fairies’ went extinct due to humans, and ’Spirits’ are rarely ever seen, as their population became smaller and smaller due to some unknown reason.
The Wailing Hills is currently filled with powerful corrupted beasts and monsters that have been infected with miasma to the core.
A massive tribe of corrupted wyverns lives in that place, and there is a forest filled with corrupted trees stretching far and wide.
Miasma flows in the streams and rivers that pass through those mountains, and miasmic rain occurs in that area all year long.
That place is basically hell on earth and does not lose in comparison to the abyss altar area in terms of how hellish it is.
Most people in this world don’t even know about the abyss altar area, so from their perspective, the wailing hills is the most corrupted place in this world and is the most dangerous location on this planet.
The moment Jareth heard that name, his eyes narrowed and a serious look appeared on his face.
"Are you sure this information is reliable? Going to that place is as good as committing suic*de for people below grade-1..."
"Even those who are at grade-1 end up suffering severe consequences... that place is filled with corrupted monstrosities..."
Jareth has been to the Abyss Alter Area, and he knows how lethal a place corrupted with miasma can be.
Even with his ’Mana Singularity,’ Jareth had to face many difficulties and always had to keep his mana shield active to prevent himself from getting affected by miasma.
He even had to do a thorough purification on his body after he fought Zion in that place when he was out of mana.
His body got affected by miasma in that short time when he was fighting without a mana shield; he had to regenerate his mana shield by recovering mana through mana recovery potions.
Then he had to use ’Mana Singularity’ to completely purify himself thoroughly to deal with the miasmic corruption.
Zion was even more severely affected than him, but he has the element of ’Light,’ which is a natural nemesis of the miasma, and he was able to easily purify himself later.
Going to the Wailing Hills is just as difficult as travelling in the Abyss Altar Area; moreover, that place is actually the path that leads to the boss area of ’Luche.’
Yes, to reach the miracle city ’Levina,’ you need to go through the Wailing Hills and defeat Luche in her boss area, which is heavily affected by miasma and corruption.
The most annoying thing is that if you die against Luche, your game character will end up reviving at the checkpoint that is located right outside the Wailing Hills area.
In other words, once you die in that boss fight, you will have to walk through the entire Wailing Hills area to get back to the boss fight.
This is one of the most annoying and difficult walk-backs to a boss fight in this game.
’I was already planning on going to the miracle city ’Levina,’ but it seems that the ’False Dome Cult’ is about to do the same...’
A golden nail is located in that area; there is no doubt that the False Dome Cult’s main target is that golden nail too.
They will go to any extent to destroy that golden nail, and Jareth is sure about it.
’They even went to the depths of the Abyss Alter Area to destroy the golden nail located in that place and even freed Konda...’

The main concern wasn’t that the ’False Dome Cult’ is going to destroy the golden nail; Jareth already knew about this.

"So, the reason you guys asked me to come here was because you wanted me to go and investigate, right?"
Both Reynald and Thomas nodded their heads at Jareth’s question.
"Well, that place is located very close to my territory too... if those ’False Dome Cult’ freaks succeeded in doing their bad deeds, my territory will be the first to get hit..."
"And then the nation will get affected too... I want to go to investigate too, but I think you are a better choice... after all, you have been to the ’Abyss Altar Area’ before..."
Reynald is the king; obviously he has enough information channels, and he knows that Jareth once went to the Abyss Altar Area and came back in one piece.
Which means he has the ability to deal with miasmic corruption for a long time, which even he can’t do.

All the students are busy with their exams and training, so Jareth was free to go. He asked Thomas to deal with the paperwork and decided to leave for the new adventure sooner than he was expecting.
The three of them watched the match till the end and then ate lunch before going back.
Reynald went back and got busy with preparing possible countermeasures in case of a massive-scale attack from the monsters.
Thomas decided to focus on making the training of the students safer for the next few months.
And Jareth went back to his mansion to prepare the equipment he might need for the next adventure.
