Fake Marriage To The Richest Tycoon-Chapter 116: I’m the love expert
Chapter 116: Chapter 116: I’m the love expert
"Peixuan Ruxi!"
A loud voice thundered through the house, and the floorboards vibrated.
Peixuan Ruxi jumped up in fright and almost spilled boba milk tea on his pants.
"Shit!" he cursed. "How the fuck did he get in?"
Lu Xiaochi was standing behind him, expressionless. He watched as his master muttered a string of ugly, vulgar curses before heading to the hall.
The King of the Underworld had such colorful language.
Shentu Jing had broken into his house early in the morning. Even the servants couldn’t stop him. The butler was petrified on the spot and let him pass through easily.
"What’s the matter? If there’s anything, we can discuss it at the nightclub," Peixuan Ruxi said calmly, putting his milk tea down.
Shentu Jing looked like he was about to explode. The house rattled underneath his feet, the table lamp swayed, and the birds flew off from where they were perched.
Peixuan Ruxi guessed he might be here because of that "date" with his Little Pearl.
Qin Zhuzhu had indeed brought him some trouble.
"You and Qin Zhuzhu—what’s going on between you two?" The image of Peixuan Ruxi fleeing the scene was still fresh in his mind. The way he did it was also very suspicious.
Although he believed Peixuan Ruxi, the same couldn’t be said for Qin Zhuzhu. He knew she was up to something. It wasn’t just a simple date. He could never tell if she was lying to him with those seductive, foxy eyes of hers.
She seemed to enjoy playing games with him, like cat and mouse.
"Fine. I’ll tell you. But don’t tell Sister-in-law I told you," Peixuan Ruxi said, making it sound very serious. He poured himself some tea and put on an aggrieved expression.
He motioned for Lu Xiaochi to pour Shentu Jing a cup of tea.
"You almost made me spill the boba milk tea," he grumbled.
"I can treat you to a thousand of those," Shentu Jing said nonchalantly, sitting down and crossing one long leg over the other elegantly.
"Huh? On the condition I tell you about your Little Pearl? You really care that much about her," Peixuan Ruxi said, looking askance at him as he sat beside Shentu Jing on the couch.
The couch wasn’t that big, so the two men were squeezed together—on purpose.
"..." Shentu Jing didn’t speak.
"She wanted to know more about you and your illness. She said she wanted to help treat your illness and insomnia. She also asked if you had other girls because you kissed her like a professional," Peixuan Ruxi followed Qin Zhuzhu’s advice and told a half-truth.
Hopefully, Shentu Jing would believe it. Peixuan Ruxi went on to elaborate how Qin Zhuzhu really wanted to know more about his personal life, making it seem like she was very interested in him.
"You don’t believe me?" Peixuan Ruxi asked after talking nonstop for half an hour.
"Why wouldn’t I believe you?" Shentu Jing shot him a look. Peixuan Ruxi stared back at him, neither blinking.
Because they were seated so close, it made it seem like they wanted to kiss each other.
Lu Xiaochi looked at them from behind, unconsciously digging his nails into his palm.
"Then what are you afraid of? That I’ll steal your girl?" Peixuan Ruxi grinned.
"Then what are you afraid of? By these lies," Shentu Jing wasn’t easy to fool.
Talking with Shentu Jing sometimes felt like running around in circles. He would use your questions against you and catch you red-handed.
Peixuan Ruxi was no match for Shentu Jing.
"Ah, since you know, why don’t you ask her yourself? I’m just trying to help out," he sighed.
"I don’t want her to get implicated in anything. Especially the underworld," the anger in Shentu Jing’s eyes was gone.
"I understand. Don’t worry, Ah Jing. I won’t pull her in. Or at least I’ll try not to," Peixuan Ruxi said in a cheeky tone.
"Lao Xi, I’m serious."
"I know, I know. But I promised her. It’s also something I think she ought to know," Peixuan Ruxi’s words weren’t clear. They could leave one guessing what he was referring to.
Shentu Jing understood what Lao Xi meant. Qin Zhuzhu still treated him as a stranger despite the time they had spent together. She was still pushing him away and setting boundaries. She was unwilling to share her problems with him.
He looked up at the ceiling, rubbing the ring on his finger. They had gone through a lot, yet her heart was still locked.
Peixuan Ruxi looked at his friend with some sympathy. Qin Zhuzhu wasn’t an ordinary girl. Most girls would gladly give up everything just to be with someone powerful and wealthy like Shentu Jing.
But Qin Zhuzhu was different. She wanted to be self-reliant. Sometimes, Shentu Jing couldn’t tell what it was that she wanted.
"Your guards are lousy," Shentu Jing said after a few moments of silence.
"That’s because my Ah Jing is very great!" Peixuan Ruxi’s mouth was filled with honeyed words.
Shentu Jing shook his head. "Where’s your sister?"
At first, Shentu Jing hadn’t wanted to come to Peixuan Ruxi’s house because he was afraid he’d have to deal with that crazy woman again.
"She’s at the boutique. She said she was preparing for her wedding to you," Peixuan Ruxi gave him a funny you-know-what-I-mean look.
Shentu Jing leaned in and whispered something into Peixuan Ruxi’s ear. Peixuan Ruxi frowned.
Then Peixuan Ruxi whispered something back to him. Shentu Jing’s face underwent several expressions before looking confused at him.
"Go on! I’m sure she’ll like it," he encouraged him. "Fighting!"
"Are you sure?"
"Of course! I’m the love expert, remember?" Peixuan Ruxi praised himself shamelessly.
Once Shentu Jing left, Peixuan Ruxi felt someone glaring at him from behind.
Peixuan Ruxi turned around, tilted his head, and raised an eyebrow at Lu Xiaochi. Lu Xiaochi’s expression was as if someone had thrown shit on him. Why was his master so close to other men? And women? And why was he calling him master when he was literally forced to be a servant here?
"Why are you looking at me like that? Am I that handsome?"
