Chapter 192: The Realization

The moment Soren reached into his soul to activate Ivory’s shade... he was left shocked.

Fortunately, he could still activate Blackfield in time.

And he somersaulted back.

Although the Shade Stealer’s dagger did not reach him, Soren was left baffled.

’Where is it?... where is the shade?’

Soren could not feel the presence of Ivory’s Shade.

He had lost a lot of Shades during this time, but he had ensured that only the less useful ones got away.

And yet, he could not feel it.

It was gone.

This thought rummaged in his head, as he yet again, dodged the next strike.

But this time around, he turned, attacking with the Clap hand to hand technique.

The attack landed just under the jaw of the Shade Stealer.

Boom.

It might have had origins from within the Glass, but it was still within the body of a person.

The jab shook its brain, instantly knocking it out.

Soren Looked at the Shade Stealer, ’down that easily?’

For those Shades that had managed to survive Cynthia’s attacks, Kiva’s party members had already began dealing with them.

In an instant, the battle was already over.

"The winter games has not even started and you have already brought home the prize."

Soren turned to his side. It was Buttermint—relaxing in his table and eating as usual.

Then he turned to Soren, "If you eventually decide to join my Tea Party, make sure to reach out." Buttermint chuckled lightly as he turned, still fitted on his chair.

But instantly disappeared.

This shocked Soren.

Scholar the butler— however, paused—eyes locked onto Soren, as if trying to see through him.

Scholar simply nodded Soren’s way, and Soren nodded back.

If not for this man’s Shade showing the vision of Aegon’s past, he would never had been able to come out with an effective plan.

Still, Soren could not help but frown a little.

After all, why did Scholar’s Shade not simply pick another person?

Did it know that Soren had the ability to go back in time?

Did it know about Chronovore?

At such a time, Soren noticed a small appendage from underneath Scholar’s clothes—waving at him.

The shade was waving.

This shocked him even more.

As they left, Soren made up his mind to dive into the knowledge of Shades.

There was a lot he did not know about these very strange beings.

Next, Aegon approached him. "If I had known this was your plan, I would have asked for more."

Soren nodded, "no... you wouldn’t dare." then he turned to Cynthia. "Could you send him 50 thousand points. I’ll pay back when I get a new watch."

Cynthia without complaint did as Soren asked.

Aegon saw the alert, and smirked. "As agreed, I’ll let the commoners go..."

"—and put the other nobles in check too." Soren reminded him.

He nodded. Then he turned and left, accompanined by his party members.

Yes.

This had been Soren’s plan.

When Bloodshine casted her illusion ability, every party head had been handed a letter by Cynthia.

On Aegon, it was simple. ’Take 50 thousand points, give up on the bounty on my head and stop harassing the commoners.

Or... I’ll tell the instructors that you have an Eldritch Soul Oath hiding in your Mohawk.’

Aegon had no choice but to accept the terms.

It was even more effective because of a lack of Soren’s presence to further negotiate.

Even though he would be giving up on 100 thousand points that was placed on Soren’s head, it was much better than letting the instructor’s know his secret.

This was the reason Sophia’s ability had been activated on Soren’s body.

The request had been to stop the bullying. Of course, sophia hinted that the only way was to take Aegon down.

But there was always more than one method to solve a problem.

Li approached Soren. "Thank you." He muttered.

Those words surprised Soren.

Amongst everyone here, he was least expecting those words from Li.

Then again, Li was rumored to be an exceptional leader.

One that always kept to his words. And apparently always showed gratitude when it was required.

Soren looked behind Li. The Lion Heart Party members had bond Bambi in golden chains.

"What are you going to do with her?" Soren asked.

"Punishment." Li responded.

Soren could see the unwillingness in his eyes.

He understood.

From what Soren had heard about Bambi, she had been Li’s second in command since their first year.

There was no doubt that this hurt Li a lot.

And yet.

Li suddenly waved his hand, a dagger appeared in it.

The same one that had stopped at Aegon’s feet back then at the point of Demise.

"I noticed you do not have a specialised weapon. Until you find one, you this.

The Soul steel used to make it was bathed in Grade 3 Eldritch Soul Dragon flames. It should serve you better than that." Li gazed towards Soren’s dagger at his waist.

Soren accepted it subconsciously, surprised that such a precious gift had been handed to him.

The weapon was not light, but not so that it was uncomfortable, or problematic during battle.

In fact, it was quite balanced.

Because of its blade length, it was easier to call this a long Dagger, or a short sword.

Soren waved it a bit, rolling it in between his fingers. His dexterity was good, which pleased Li.

"I suspected as much. It suits you well, especially considering you plan to become your own party leader."

Those words caught Siren off guard. "How did you know?"

"Its in your eyes. No one with that gaze will bow their head in another’s party."

Li turned and left, "feel free to visit anytime."

It was Kiva’s turn. However, she simply walked around him, as if checking him out.

All of a sudden, her instincts spiked.

She turned about. Bloodshine was starring intently at her.

She simply giggled and walked away.

As she did, Bloodshine jumped into Soren’s embrace...

....

Everyone eventually left the Hunting ground.

The instructors having watched the things that happened within, were already waiting for them outside.

There were also a few Red Sword Inquisitors.

Cynthia dropped the Shade Stealer from her Shoulders.

Instructor Eagle-wing eyebrows looked at the Shade Stealer on the ground, and then looked up at Soren.

He simply nodded.

Instructor Ivory V. Also had a proud look on her face, although covered by her veil.

The Other Instructors, maintaining their composure were the same way.

The only person that openly commended Soren was Instructor Vandabel.

The huge man took several steps forward, and then a heavy hand was placed on Soren’s shoulder, "Good Job, boy." He smiled wildy as his patted Soren’s shoulder heavily.

And then he asked...
