Chapter 191: Soren’s Trap.

The Shade Stealer was left baffled.

Eyes on Soren like it was seeing a kind of ghost reserved solely for haunting its kind.

Soren saw this too.

"How?" Soren muttered. Then smiled.

The how was the really tricky part.

Soren had come to the understanding that the Shade Stealer was meticulous with its dealings.

Then again, for the kind of dream it carried, this much was expected.

Stage a fight where the top parties and challengers in the academy have no choice but to fight and kill one another.

—With Soren as the bait for them all.

Once they died, it could collect their Glasshearts.

While a Shade would normally die when its Soulbound warrior was dead, that restriction did not apply to Shades that had their Soulbound warriors die within the Glass.

Once the Soulbound warriors were dead, it could take their Shades and reintroduce them to new bonds that will be taught the Give and Take relationship properly—so as to allow the Shades take over the bodies of their Soulbound warriors.

This would give them permanent access and freedom in the human world.

Bonus marks—they could enjoy the meal of negative emotions in the human bodies forever with no restrictions.

Soren needed to destroy this plan... and he did.

From the moment he entered the False Gate, he went to work.

In the previous loop, he had used the one hour of time to figure out a method that barely allowed him the possibility of victory. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

Of course, one hour was no where enough to know about the entire False Glass.

But that was the thing. He did not need to know that much.

All he needed to know was extensive knowledge about the route he was going to take in order to achieve his goal.

While it seemed difficult at first, Soren quickly noticed that the Triplex Rot Hounds never attacked until after the Blanket Burial Leaves.

He remembered the first time he and Cynthia had gone through them.

Even Cynthia had difficulty tearing them apart.

And So Soren thought to use this to his advantage.

Cynthia had to be early, but not too early else the Triplex Rot Hounds would police her.

But just early enough to lure one of the Triplex Rot Hounds into the trap, and when it fell, she wrapped it in one of the leaf of the Blanket Burial Leaves.

Plants in the false Glass were just as strange. Even disconnected from its parent plant, it still tightened around its prey, slowly digesting it.

This ensured the prey was alive enough for Soren’s wristwatch on one of its legs to not give the plan away.

That way, the Shade Stealer who was monitoring Soren would not suspect a thing.

While Cynthia made her way to the point of Demise, Soren made his way to the cliff that the Shade Stealer was watching from.

This had not been easy. But he had given it his all.

But the true plan began when he distracted the Shade Stealer.

That part had also been intensional.

The moment the one directing the chess match no longer looked at the board, the pieces no longer moved as they intended.

Cynthia had slipped Bloodshine a note Soren wrote on a leaf with his soul energy.

Bloodshine saw it, and acted immediately.

She activated her First Form: Heart Mirror Veil.

By the time the Shade Stealer looked at the battlefield again, all he was seeing was what Bloodshine wanted him to see—

Bambi having a verbal exchange with Aegon, as soren had instructed Bloodshine.

Meanwhile, Cynthia had also handed small notes to Aegon, and the heads of the three top parties.

All of them had been sceptical at first.

But after Cynthia threw her SONIC PUNCH towards a seemingly ordinary cliff, and screams were heard, they acted very fast.

The Shade Stealer watched, eyes wide in shock.

However, it gritted its teeth. "Its not yet over.... Waterfell."

As it said this, Triplex Rot Hounds suddenly appeared all around, Surrounding them.

Members of the Top three parties, and the Mohawk Party brandished their weapons, ready for the fight.

But Soren raised a finger, shaking it dismissively.

"Nice try. But I rather you don’t do that." He walked over to one of the Shades, barely clinging on for dear life.

And then he stomped on its head.

It POPPED.

"Noooo!!!" Bambi screamed from behind.

Soren sighed.

From the research he had done on the cadets that fell prey to the Shade Stealer’s poison, Soren had learned that one of the cadet’s was Bambi’s sibling.

It was this one. In the previous loop, it was the same one Cynthia had smacked to a wall like an insect, but refused to die.

Soren had thought the cadet looked like someonehe knew. He was right.

It was no wonder Bambi had been pushing Aegon into a fight, even though there was no obvious reason for it.

It was all intensional.

From her expression of grief, he was right.

The Shade Stealer must have promised her it would free her sibling if she did as instructed.

Considering Aegon had always been a eye sore, she must have seen it as a simple task.

What she did not know was that after a Shade’s take over, they was no turning back.

Instantly, Li raised a dagger to Bambi’s neck. "Arrest her." He ordered.

The Lion Heart party members moved to do as he willed.

After soren had smashed the head of the Shade with the ability to control the Triplex Rot Hounds, the creatures had no need to linger anymore and retreated.

The Shade Stealer was shocked for words.

"Waterfell..." it muttered bitterly as it kicked against the ground and rushed for Soren.

The attack was sudden, and even with its body as destroyed as it was, it still moved with incredible speed.

However, Soren was not new to battle. Easily, his head dodged to the right, before the dagger would reach his face.

However, the Shade Stealer’s fingers suddenly changed the blade’s direction mid attack—catching Soren off guard.

Such dexterity.

It was good.

But Soren quickly activated Ivory’s shade so he could get a stronger momentum in his legs as he backed away.

However—
