Extra's POV: My Obsessive Villainous Fiancee Is The Game's Final Boss-Chapter 159: Soul Dominion Strikes Again
Ren and Thorn rode into the Underwood estate, passing into the gate, with the banners of House Underwood flying overhead.
They slowed to a stop in the courtyard, where Sir Aldric, the castellan of the estate was waiting, his hands clasped behind his back.
As they dismounted, the man bowed. "Welcome, Lord Terence." He grinned. "Would you like to visit Lady Lilith or Lord Underwood first?"
"Lady Lilith, of course." Thorn chuckled, grinning mischievously. He wagged his eyebrows suggestively. "If you ask either one of them, they'd been separated for far too long."
"But they saw each other two days ago." Sir Aldric frowned, confused.
"Exactly." Thorn grinned like he'd just made a great point.
"Ignore him, Sir Aldric. He's an idiot as always." Ren sighed. "Of course, I'll be seeing—"
Before he could finish his sentence, he was cut off by a yell of excitement.
"Ren!"
He only had a moment to brace himself before she slammed into him.
"Ren!" Lilith had jumped, hugging him with her legs wrapped around his waist. "You're here!" She squealed.
Ren staggered back with the force of the hug, laughing before wrapping his arms around her, supporting her weight on him.
"Lilith!" He grinned. "It hasn't been that long."
"It's been that long." She began kissing him all over his face, speaking between kisses as he laughed. "You were last here two days ago. Two days ago! Do you know how long that is?! I almost died from missing you."
"I missed you too, Lilith." Ren grinned before she kissed him on the lips.
Sir Aldric cleared his throat where he was standing uncomfortably and Lilith's head snapped to him. He unconsciously took a step back from the cold look in her eyes.
"How dare you?" Lilith hissed, her voice low. "How dare you interrupt my quality time with my fiance?!"
"I— I apologize milady." Sir Aldric stammered, flinching as Lilith shot towards him, held only in place by Ren's hands around her.

"Woah! Woah! Woah!" Ren held Lilith tightly, turning away so that she couldn't see Aldric. "Calm down, Lilith. Sir Aldric was just clearing his throat. He meant nothing by it. Really."
He spoke, his voice low, holding Lilith's gaze and soothing the sudden burst of anger. "Remember what I said. You can't just attack people for doing something that interrupts us."
He glanced at Elias, who stood stoically. The man had come so close to death so many times that Ren wasn't sure anything could faze him anymore. Fortunatelly, such incidents were getting rarer.
"If you do that, what did I say would happen?"
Lilith pouted, looking away.
"Lilith?" He said softly. "What did I say would happen?"
"You'd be mad."
"Good." Ren nodded approvingly. "And you said you didn't want me to be mad. So, will you do it again?"
She sighed, meeting his gaze. "I'm not a kid. No need for all this. I'll be more careful."
"Good." Ren grinned and she resumed kissing his face, making him laugh.
This was the unfortunate side effect of Lilith softening up the Dryad enough for his father to kill it.
As the price for using Soul Dominion in such a large-scale battle, she'd lost some of her emotions and a large part of her humanity.
Human life was now trivial to her and she was willing to kill just for someone interrupting her time with Ren. Fortunately, she was getting better.
Sometimes, she was missing just compassion. Sometimes, there was no patience. Other times, there were no traces of remorse. The emotions flunctuate from time to time. However, there was just one constant.
Most of her emotions were channeled into obsessing over him, but Ren was confident that with time, they could restore her other emotions. As long as he was with her, she'll never become the third Great Calamity.
Lilith unwrapped her legs around his waist, dropping to the floor, but didn't pull back from the hug. She looked up at him, a cute grin on her face. "So, when do we leave? Now? Let's go now."
"Not so fast." Ren ruffled her hair, smiling down at her. "I have to go get your father's permission to take you with me."
"Awnn." Lilith pouted. "But we don't need that. We can just go now."
"Sorry, Lilith. I have to see your father."
"You know what?" She asked, her eyes wide. "Let me go meet my father myself. He'll let us go immediately."
"No, Lilith!" Ren held tighter, in case she was about to slip away. "I'll do it myself."
But he could see from the look in her eyes that she wanted to follow him. Unfortunately, he needed to talk to Lord Underwood himself. It'll be kinda weird if Lilith was there in person as they spoke about her.
"You know what?" He smiled as an idea came to him. Lilith was already dressed for the journey. "You and Elias should go get your horses and your travel packs, and wait for me here. When I'm done, we'll leave immediately."
"But—"
"And," Ren raised a finger, interrupting her. "If you can do it without using your Gift or disturbing the good people of the Underwood estate," he leaned forward to whisper in her ears, "I'll let you watch me sleep."
"Yes!" Lilith nodded as fast as she could. "Okay! Go meet my father. I'll be here when you're done."
She pulled away from the hug, turning away. "Elias. Come."
The diligent guard gave Ren a small smile and a bow before following after Lilith.
Ren turned to Thorn who was standing stock still, staring with wide eyes, his head moving between Lilith and Ren.
"What? No witty quips?" Ren asked.
"I'm still trying to process what just happened." Thorn said slowly, like he couldn't believe his eyes. "You didn't tell me it was like this!" He hissed.
Ren gave a single shoulder shrug, before turning to Sir Aldric. "Shall we?"
"Y— Yes. Of course." The man cleared his throat, before looking around frantically as if he was about to be jumped for clearing his throat.
A few minutes later, they were at the study, Sir Aldric knocked, opening the door for Ren to enter alone.
Ren walked into the study, Lord Underwood chuckling at the sight of him. "Ren!" The man boomed, his voice hoarse and cracking. "Is it time?"
The man grinned widely at Ren, Ren returning the grin. He had to say that of all the survivors, Lord Underwood was… unique.
His left hand and legs were gone, replaced by wooden imbued objects that acted just like a hand and a foot. While his face was okay, there was heavy scarring in the rest of his body.
The healers had focused on keeping him alive first, and keeping him comfortable, second. And they'd succeeded.
"Lord Underwood!" Ren bowed slightly to the man. "I am here to officially ask your permission to allow my fiancee, Lilith Underwood, to travel with me on my expedition."
Hearing his words, Lord Underwood's smile slowly faded.
Ren stood there, uncomfortably. Had he said something wrong? Had he managed to fuck it up?
"Terence Ross." Lord Underwood said. "How would you like to be my heir?"
