Chapter 156: Complicated Procedures

He glanced around the room and thought, it was time to work in making runic weapons again and not only that, he would have to pretty much waste all the weapons he made in advance, since they could not be modified anymore, neither can they be sold in fear of being tampered with again by another runecaster.

From now on, his engraved weapon needs to have some backup functions that would smartly detect any sort of tampering attempt and block such attempts from affecting the rune itself. If the interference becomes too great, the rune would simply and without any violent reaction just dissolve.

But this was more or less the easy part of it, but the difficult part, the truly difficult part of it was to incorporate the new idea he had, into every single weapon of his creation, and it needs to remain hidden, undetected and inactive until when it is necessary, also not hamper the functions of the weapon or the rune itself possibly, Axel sighed just thinking how much research and planning would go into it, how much wasted effort would be required.

And starting to sell his weapons without that function incorporated into it is also not an option, since that would defeat the whole purpose of it. There’s also the fact that he would need to make personalized weapons for his friends, as well as for Lucien. There’s more; he would have to make it for Thorian Blackvale and Enrick Samartan as well.

So so much fucking work, he cursed, then without wasting time anymore, he jumped back into work, first he dissolved the thousands and thousands of weapons he had already made beforehand, things which were all ready for sale. But now utterly and absolutely wasted. freewēbnoveℓ.com

His heart ached at all that wasted time, effort, and money that went into it.

One after another, thousands of weapons were dissolved as he threw the now un-engraved swords to one side nonstop after each one was done. But perhaps not all efforts were wasted, when he dissolved the runes of each of the weapons, he also learned some small things. Well, small things, but that could be of big use sometimes. So, he was at least grateful for that.

He had sold the materials of those un-engraved swords at a very cheap price. Even those materials weren’t usable anymore. After all of his made swords that were stocked up by him was dissolved. He could now move into materializing the idea he had. How would he silently incorporate that idea beneath the runic weapon? How would he hide it, how would he make it work? How would he even make the whole thing stable with that in?

Resisting the urge to sigh for the umpteenth time, he started forging; he had now become more than good enough at the forging procedure itself that he could work on it with his subconscious. Well, at least while making his signature swords, that is. But mind you, he is still not as good at it as he should be for forging such a disgusting number of swords constantly.

But at least now that he could do part of the process of weapon making in his subconscious, he could use that time and think about what or how to engrave the procedure. So, he didn’t waste that time. 2 more tasks popped into his mind, and he had forgotten the obvious.

Continuing to defeat more of his rune phantoms, and then he would have to enter his 2nd aspect chamber again, he hadn’t entered it ever since Sin had disappeared. So many fucking things to do, he cursed again in his mind. His days became even busier, time passed, and the regular activities of the academy started again. Except for going to the mandatory lectures necessary.

He was focusing solely on two things: creating a solution for his idea, and another being creating personalized weapons for his friends. The latter wasn’t too difficult compared to the first. He already had more than enough information and ideas on how to go about those; the tools requested by Lumina and Vyra were pretty easy to pull off. Heinz and Lucien’s weapons were a bit harder to pull off than that, but only a bit.

Days after days passed, and eventually he found some solutions to his problems, and slowly his ideas started to take shape and form, the weapons of his friends were also close to be finished, the last one left was Lucien’s weapon. To be honest, he didn’t want to put too much effort into making a weapon for the guy, he grumbled in frustration. But there was also no choice in it; he had to make it.

The guy had blood of the gold dragon flowing through his veins, the dragon of the strongest kind. But he couldn’t consider that while making the tool, the guy would immediately find it suspicious and track him out. With how perceptive that guy is, he might actually figure out that Axel knew the truth of his bloodline.

So, he would have to make a sword, a longsword to be precise, something meant for a normal Aurauser but could handle the strength of someone ten times or more powerful, and precise and combat efficient to an inhumane degree.

Well, that is what he requested by his very words. So, he would obviously oblige. Oh, and the sword itself should be much heavier, he said, the heavier the better. The only way he found a plausible way to make it is to mix and compress 10 different types of metals into one, and not just mixing but mixing them through a very special procedure into a totally one thing. So, he did.

And that metal would not be used for its forging. Lucien had already forged the perfect weapon for the occasion, ready to be engraved. And that mixture of 10 different metals was actually the ink, more like it would work as a second layer of mana ink for the weapon.

As for making it as heavy as possible, meaning he would have to engrave it and make it very, very heavy, and alongside many other things. As well as engrave his chosen fire pseudo rune in it.
