Chapter 35: What Just Happened?

"Now, I know many of you might already have learned some basic spells. While there may be some rare number of students who haven’t learned any spells."

Noah nodded at her words. Learning basic spells was not a big deal. But there might be a few people who had never learned any of that, since magic scrolls cost a lot of money. Though there did exist some daily-use magic which even many commoners knew.

"Okay. For both of you, those who haven’t yet learned any spells or those who have learned spells, I will personally give you all some basic spells according to your elemental affinity." Morgana took out a lot of scrolls from her dimensional bracelet as she said that.

She put them on the desk. It seemed she had come prepared. Those scrolls mostly belonged to the Academy. They were expensive.

’But again... the Academy is filthy rich. The whole city basically belongs to the Academy. So it’s no big deal.’

After that, she started distributing those spell scrolls among the cadets who were still sitting.

Noah got up when his name was called. He calmly walked towards her and took the scroll.

After distributing those scrolls, she looked over the class. "Try to learn it. Practice it tomorrow the whole day, since it’s Sunday."

"Also, if you don’t know what these scrolls are used for, then let me tell you in brief."

"These teaching scrolls are special magical tools that allow a person to permanently learn a spell by directly experiencing its structure and mana flow. When a user injects mana into the scroll, the magic circle inscribed upon it activates and manifests in the air, displaying the complete spell formation."

"Through this projection, the user can observe the precise mana flow pattern and is guided to replicate it within their own body." She paused for a while, then continued.

"As they follow the structure, their mana is directed along the correct pathways, allowing the spell pattern to be imprinted into their mana core"

"However, this process requires the user to possess sufficient mana, the appropriate elemental affinity, and a good level of mana control; without these, the spell will fail to form correctly. Once the learning process is complete, the scroll loses its power and turns to ash, having fulfilled its purpose."

Noah did know about this. Scrolls could help a person learn magic spells faster.

But that didn’t mean one couldn’t learn spells without them. But it took a lot of time. Depending on a person’s talent, they could either learn early or late.

If a person took two to three weeks to learn a basic spell through books with magic circle drawings and its theory, then it would take less than a week for him to learn this spell with those scrolls.

’I will learn it this evening.’

He opened the scroll and checked the magic circle with excitement, only to look at the spell with a deadpan expression.

Inside, there was a blue-colored magic circle drawn. Its structure was not hard. Simple and easy.

At the upper side, its information was written in small letters.

Snow Mist: Creates a small mist of cold air and snow to block vision. Useful for escape or stealth.

Noah kept looking at it.

’Well, fair enough. It’s actually a basic spell. No wonder. Still, it could be useful to run. I don’t think I could do something like this with my ability.’

He put the scroll inside his storage ring, listening to Morgana’s lecture lazily.

---

Today there were fewer lectures, so the classes were finished early. It was still afternoon, around 3 PM.

The academy campus was wide. They had many shops there, so students wouldn’t need to go outside the academy.

Cafés, snack shops, and even potion shops were present.

There were also a few clothing shops.

They could either use money or Nova Points to purchase anything.

Currently, on a small street inside the campus, at one table inside a café, a handsome young man sat near the glass wall. His soft snow-white hair was combed neatly. His crystal blue eyes were calm as he enjoyed his coffee. In his hand, he held the cup, which he brought to his lips.

The hot bitter liquid traveled down his throat as he took a sip from his cup.

"Hah... such a nice day," Noah muttered.

He was sitting beside the glass wall, watching outside.

Students walked through the roads. Green trees stood on both sides of the road. The leaves rustled softly in the wind, making a whistling sound. Sunlight poured onto the road through the branches.

Other shops were present on the opposite side.

"It’s so peaceful." Noah leaned back against the chair.

Since coming to this world, Noah had spent most of his time training.

Yes, he didn’t try to play any games, watch any series, or read novelkisss.

They did exist even in this world.

Still, he never bothered with them. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

’That aside... when will the first event, act, or arc—whatever it might be—occur? Everything is going too smoothly.’

He put the cup on the table while still looking outside.

’Damn! I forgot to ask Morgana about joining the Adventurer Guild.’

Noah wanted to ask her about this so he could raid dungeons during weekends, which would help him a lot with his training.

He took the last sip of the coffee and decided to go to her office to ask her.

Noah walked toward the counter, took out his mobile, and paid the bill with Nova Points.

He ran a hand through his soft snow-white hair, adjusting it better. He walked toward the entrance door as it slid open on its own.

On the opposite side of the café were other huge buildings. They were other shops. Noah saw them. "Should I purchase some snacks?"

Looking ahead, he decided to buy a few. He tried to cross the road, but just then,

BOOOOOMMMMM!

The front side of those buildings exploded loudly.

The impact of the explosion was so strong that the wave from it pushed Noah with high force.

Noah was thrown back by that intense force. His body crashed against the glass wall, shattering it, and he flew inside the café.

Thud!

His body hit against the wall.

"Arrggggh!" A painful scream came out of his mouth when he crashed against the wall. Pain shot through all over his body.

As he fell down on the floor.
