Chapter 1323: Chapter 1321: Waiting

"Rustle, rustle..."

Bi Bi dragged the woman’s arm forward, face up, back down, her hair disheveled—although she looked a bit of a mess, it was much better than the intruder dealt with by Eight-Armed Skeleton Anan.

It wasn’t that Bi Bi was kind; she simply felt a bit guilty towards the woman.

After all, the woman had once trusted her so much, yet had fallen victim to her betrayal. Most importantly, this woman actually knew her past.

Perhaps when this woman wakes up, she can be a bit nicer, try to learn about her past from her, and then hand her over to Richard?

Bi Bi pondered as she moved forward.

Walking more than ten meters in such a heavy state of mind, she suddenly felt the weight in her hands lighten.

She spun around quickly and saw the woman’s arm sliding from her grip like it was greased, falling to the ground. The next moment, before she could react, the woman sprang up, enveloped in a gray light, and swiftly fled towards the direction outside the mansion.

It turned out the woman had woken up during the dragging process, took advantage of the opportunity to cast a spell and escape. The woman realized the intrusion had failed, and although angry, dared not waste time questioning or punishing the betraying Bi Bi, only wanting to escape first.

Bi Bi was taken aback, and after regaining her composure, she hurried to chase the woman, but how could she catch up?

She had half of her strength sealed by Richard, normally it wasn’t a big deal, but now it was obvious, she was eager yet powerless to do anything. Because of this, she couldn’t make the woman completely unconscious with a two-strike attack, providing her an opportunity to escape.

Bi Bi was both angry and anxious, but could only helplessly watch as the woman ran further and further away...

"Swish!"

The woman reached the edge of the mansion, kicked off the ground, and soared into the air, about to successfully escape over the outer wall.

But just at that moment, the woman seemed to hit a transparent wall, her figure suddenly halted.

"Thud!"

A dull thud that was hard to bear sounded, causing the chasing Bi Bi to instinctively stop, blinking as she watched the woman hang mid-air, completely unconscious, sliding down bit by bit, eventually falling to the ground.

Bi Bi could imagine the woman’s final look was surely full of resentment, thinking it was a trap she had deliberately set.

But she was innocent.

Truly innocent, she had no idea there was a transparent wall here.

But speaking of which, this transparent wall did remind her of someone.

Sure enough, in the next moment, footsteps sounded, and a figure walked over to the fainted woman on the ground, lifted her up, it was Richard.

"Did you come out early?" Bi Bi asked in surprise upon seeing Richard, "I thought you wouldn’t be finished until tomorrow."

"The original plan was indeed to be busy until tomorrow," Richard said, "but... things went more smoothly than planned, so I finished early."

"Additionally," Richard frowned, glanced at the woman in his hand, then looked outside the mansion where faint sounds of a prison break could be heard, as if something chaotic was happening, "also, the Guardian Magic of the mansion was triggered, and since I have a sense of it. Plus, with all that noise outside, I had to come out and take a look. And here, I caught someone trying to run away."

"It wasn’t just one person," Bi Bi quickly added, "there were several others who broke in, too. I got Pandora and the others to help catch them. This one I caught alone, but she almost got away, luckily you showed up."

"Is that so." Richard nodded, not saying much more.

"So, what do you plan to do with them?" Bi Bi asked, pointing at the woman in Richard’s hand.

"Lock them up for now," Richard replied.

"Lock them up? Aren’t you worried they might escape?" Bi Bi was slightly surprised, considering those who intruded weren’t ordinary people but wizards, and this woman had almost escaped from her hands just now; how could they be contained?

"No need to worry," Richard said with some hidden meaning, carrying the woman towards the center of the mansion, "if they really can escape, then they have the skill."

"Oh..." Bi Bi nodded, seemingly understanding, following Richard’s steps, and after a while, she remembered something and asked softly, "Do you know... the person in your hand said she knows me, and that I had some experiences before... but I’ve forgotten them."

"Yes, I know," Richard nodded calmly.

"Huh?" Bi Bi widened her eyes, looking at Richard to confirm, "You really know?"

"Of course, I know." Richard explained, "You wouldn’t think, without knowing anything about you, I could seal half your strength, repair your damaged body, and trust you to look after the house, right?

Though I haven’t had the time to delve deep into research and analysis of you, I do grasp some basic things. For instance, inside your body, there’s a sealed part, and what’s stored there are some of your past memories."

"Then... have you seen those memories?"

"I’ve seen them."

Bi Bi was silent for several seconds, then looked up at Richard and cautiously asked, "Can you help me restore those memories? I... want to know what I’ve been through."

"Of course," Richard answered without any hesitation, "but I suggest you think it over before deciding."

"Why... why?"

"Because when I was reading your sealed memories, I could tell they weren’t pleasant. The most important thing is... in that memory, you were the one who requested the seal."

"This..." Bi Bi was completely stunned, mechanically following Richard for a while, becoming very conflicted, "Then I really need to think it over, think about whether or not I want to restore my memories."

"Think carefully," Richard said as well, "It doesn’t make any difference to me, but it could be a big deal for you—although I can restore your memories, I can’t promise to seal them again. In other words, restoring your memories might be irreversible, and once you decide, there’s no turning back. So, there’s no need to rush; take your time to think about it, best to wait until this period is over before giving me an answer."

As he spoke, Richard looked again towards the outside of the mansion, the faint sounds of explosions earlier suddenly becoming clear and frequent in the night, and he said slowly, "Recently, things seem unstable, perhaps something big is happening." 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

This is what Soron was referring to back then... Richard mused silently.

Bi Bi listened, nodding slightly, not arguing. She reached into her arms, taking out the stick-like black bread she had stuffed there earlier, taking a bite, chewing as she muttered, "Alright, I’ll think it over."

Bi Bi followed Richard, continuing forward, eventually stopping in front of a vacant house at the center of the mansion.

Richard reached out to open the door and unceremoniously tossed in the woman in his hand. It wasn’t long before Pandora, Witch Demon Elder Ah Fu, and Eight-Armed Skeleton Anan arrived, throwing in the unconscious intruders they were carrying as well.

After dropping the people, Richard closed the house door and began to recite a spell. The surrounding air mildly fluctuated, followed by a faint blood-colored mist that emerged, drifting into the house.

After doing all this, Pandora, Bi Bi, and the others left to attend to their respective matters—Pandora continued self-studying, the Witch Demon Elder went to create his Magic Puppet and guarded against Eight-Armed Skeleton stealing, while Eight-Armed Skeleton tried hard to succeed in stealing, and Bi Bi returned to the dining room to resume her feast, eating while pondering whether to regain her memories.

Only Richard remained, walking to a stone table in front of the house and sitting down, retrieving a Papyrus Scroll, quill, and other items from the Space Iron Ring, placing them on the stone table, and patiently waiting.

Not knowing what he was waiting for.
