Exclusive Love: Pampered by the Scheming Tycoon-Chapter 374 - 375: Promising Her a Grand Wedding
Banxia’s snow-white skin suddenly flushed with a rosy hue, her long lashes fluttering twice as she responded shyly, "How would I know what you’re going to do?"
"Well, I’m not the type to let myself feel wronged," Yan Ting said with a slight smirk on his thin lips, emanating both arrogance and a trace of mischief.
Banxia pouted and retorted, "As if anyone would enjoy that. Aren’t you afraid your grandfather will find out that you’re here to see me?"
Yan Ting chuckled lightly. "My grandfather? He actually already knows. But I can tell—he’s given me a deadline."
"A deadline for what?" Banxia asked in surprise.
"A deadline to sever ties with you. Although I don’t know how long that deadline is, whenever I truly miss you, I just want to come find you. Banxia, I really want to remarry you, to continue our life together. You have no idea how much happiness you’ve brought me." Yan Ting’s tone grew somewhat melancholic as his large hand wrapped around her delicate shoulders, effortlessly pulling her into his embrace.
His broad palm naturally encircled her small, fragile figure, as though unwilling to ever let go.
"Yan Ting, I also want to marry you again. But unfortunately, right now, all I have is the title of your ex-wife," Banxia said, her eyes reddening, a wave of inexplicable sorrow welling up within her.
"I know, I’m sorry. It’s my fault. I failed to protect you." Yan Ting’s voice brimmed with guilt and remorse.
Banxia let out a soft laugh. "You’ve already done enough, Yan Ting. If you had disrespected your grandfather now, scheming against him, hardening your heart to defy him, that’s when I would feel truly uneasy and guilty. Your loyalty, your sense of duty and righteousness—those are the things that made me fall in love with you willingly. I don’t demand how much you sacrifice for me. Honestly, in this life, all I ask for is someone who truly loves me. As for marriage... it’s not something I yearn for so much anymore."
The failed marriage of her past life had left Banxia’s heart deeply wounded, bleeding. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
And so, she truly no longer cared about marriage. She only needed someone who genuinely loved her, cared for her, and that alone made her feel content.
Yan Ting watched her speak these words, eyes gleaming with unshed tears, and the ache in his heart only deepened.
He knew Banxia wasn’t a greedy woman. And precisely because she wasn’t greedy, because she asked for so little, it made him want to give her everything—his entire being, his heart.
"I promise you, in this lifetime, I will give you a grand, magnificent wedding," Yan Ting murmured, as though making a solemn vow.
Banxia trembled slightly, lifting her gaze to look at him, only to find his warm lips closing in on hers.
"Wait... don’t kiss me... I’m holding something," Banxia said hurriedly, startled, turning her face away just as his lips were about to land.
Yan Ting paused, glancing down at what she was holding, his sharp brows furrowing. "What’s this?"
"My dinner! Have you eaten yet?" Banxia asked, a hint of an amused smile lighting up her face.
"What is it? I haven’t eaten yet," Yan Ting replied, catching a savory aroma that piqued his curiosity.
Banxia had no choice but to set the noodles on the table. She opened the bag and handed a portion to Yan Ting, saying, "Luckily, I had the foresight to buy two servings. Do you want some?"
"This... looks pretty spicy," Yan Ting commented, eyeing the layer of red oil floating on top, his brows knitting together. Having never tasted this type of modest, everyday food in his life, he found himself hesitant.
