Aiden’s eyes kept shining brighter and brighter. The Psychic Bracelet would be incredibly useful for him.
He had experienced Mindspace before and knew how hard it is to escape from it.
Plus, the Psychic Bracelet also grants immunity to illusions, which is a huge plus for him.
As for the Abyss Heartspire Auction Invitation, Aiden thought for a moment and immediately pulled it out.
It was a small card, no bigger than a palm, pitch black in color, with a shifty-looking Ratfolk pattern etched on the front using some kind of gold material.
When Aiden’s finger touched the Ratfolk design, the card suddenly spoke: "Suncrest Mercantile welcomes you. Here, there’s nothing you can’t think of, and nothing you can’t buy."
Aiden checked it closely and realized it was just an auto-triggered voice recording.
"Nothing you can’t think of, nothing you can’t buy? Then... will there be a Second Class Scroll?" Aiden muttered to himself.
Right now, he had plenty of Mythic Rank materials, but he didn’t know how to turn them into things that actually boosted his combat power.
Even the greatest Forgemaster in the Great Shaw Empire, Garrick, could only forge Legendary Rank gear.
Aiden wasn’t lacking in Legendary Rank equipment anymore; he wanted gear and items of a much higher tier.
Just then, he remembered the Red Dwarves dwarf, Brock, whom he had met in the Black City.
Even if Brock couldn’t forge Mythic Rank gear, there had to be a more powerful Forgemaster somewhere in the Red Dwarves tribe.
"I’ll get a Second Class Scroll at the auction, head back to the Black City to deliver some human books to WraithJack, and then travel to the Red Dwarves tribe to finally get the Forgemaster profession..." Aiden’s mind raced with plans.
If everything went as he hoped, he wouldn’t have to wait long before becoming a Forgemaster himself.
With so many high-tier materials on hand, he should be able to boost his forging skills in no time.
And even if he couldn’t find a Forgemaster capable of crafting Mythic Rank gear or items, he could always try doing it himself.
Moreover, the invitation said the next auction would start in just two days.
Aiden wasn’t sure if missing this one would mean waiting a long time for the next opportunity.
Besides, the name Abyss Heartspire sounded special right away, and Aiden was genuinely curious. He really wanted to see it for himself.
But before that, he still had one more thing to do: collect the prize for winning the Global Reclasser Exchange Tournament.
"I thought I could finally get some rest after the tournament ended, but now there are just too many things to do," Aiden sighed helplessly.
And that didn’t even count the trip to the Site of Fallen Gods to try and get that giant Mythic Rank item, the Floating City.
He still remembered exactly what Gareth had said: as long as there was enough energy supply, the Floating City could kill any Reclasser below level 100.
If Aiden managed to get the Floating City, no Reclasser would dare to oppose him, unless a divine powerhouse showed up.
"Sigh, compared to my peers, my power is indeed pretty strong."
"But someone who wants an item like the Floating City has to be a high-level Reclasser. Compared to those guys, I’m still a bit too weak," Aiden took a deep breath.
Who wouldn’t want a giant Mythic Rank item capable of obliterating Reclassers under level 100?
According to Gareth, he still had about a month.
If his strength continued to grow rapidly during this time, there was a real chance he could get the Floating City.
An hour later, Robert returned in a rush and gathered all the talented contestants again.
He took a deep breath and announced publicly: "The Global Reclasser Exchange Tournament is now over."
"Lord Bella said that in three days, all of you will earn the right to enter the Golden Great Wall."
"Besides that, you will also receive generous rewards. Whether it’s high-quality materials, top-tier items, or equipment, you won’t be disappointed!"
Instantly, most of the contestants burst into cheers.
Aiden, however, remained calm.
Having gained so much already, he wasn’t too interested in the rewards Robert mentioned. His only focus now was getting that mysterious treasure map fragment.
Thinking about it, Aiden asked directly, "Is the champion’s reward also given in three days?"
Robert shook his head and replied immediately, "Take a little more rest. Tonight at nine o’clock, Selene, a divine powerhouse and Lord Bella’s student, will come personally to hand out the rewards."
Selene?
Another divine powerhouse?
Aiden couldn’t help but feel a surge of emotion. In just these two days, he had already seen Selene, the Abyss Demon God, and several other divine powerhouses.
There’s an old saying: the more you know, the more you realize how little you know.
Aiden felt the same way. As his strength grew, he felt even more that he was still not strong enough.
Others might think that killing a Mythic Rank Demon genius was enough, but Aiden’s goal had already shifted to Reclassers at level 70 or level 80, or even level 90.
He wanted to compete with people like that.
"I need to keep getting stronger, and then it’s time to deal with Henry and Felix," Aiden thought. He wouldn’t let go of these two who had tried to kill him.
That was his principle, and it wouldn’t change.
Soon, Robert summoned a giant golden lotus again, carrying the remaining talented contestants flying toward the capital of the Elephant Empire.
Hardly had they arrived outside the city gates when they saw countless citizens of the Elephant Empire holding flags and posters, shouting excitedly:
"Heroes! Heroes! Heroes!"
"We won!"
"Human geniuses are the strongest!"
"Aiden! You are my idol, a hero of the Elephant Empire!"
The roaring cheers washed over every contestant instantly.
The vast majority of the citizens were shouting Aiden’s name, though some also loudly thanked the other talented contestants for their efforts.
It’s just the way things are; most people only remember the one standout performer.
A contestant quietly lowered his head and muttered to his teammates, "Well, it’s honestly impossible to feel jealous about this."
"What Aiden did was create an impossible miracle. No one else could have done it."
"That’s right. Not just the people of the Elephant Empire need to thank him; we do too. Otherwise, we might still be dead in the hands of those Mythic Rank Demon genii."
"You’re right."
Many contestants looked at Aiden’s calm, mountain-like back, unable to hide the envy on their faces.
Who could resist becoming a hero beloved by the masses?
However, the Aiden everyone called a hero remained unusually calm.
He didn’t really care about the title of hero.
Killing those Mythic Rank Demon genii was just for the materials and to progress his quest.
Of course, he wouldn’t refuse to be thanked.
Looking at those eyes full of gratitude and admiration, Aiden didn’t notice that the corners of his mouth were slightly rising, his mood unusually relaxed.
"General Aiden! General Aiden!"
Just then, a little boy squeezed through the crowded crowd, jumping up and down and shouting loudly.
Aiden turned his head immediately.
Only people from The White City would keep calling him General.
He glanced over once and instantly remembered who this little boy was.
He remembered that when they were in The White City, this boy had only one arm. Now, he was completely healthy again.
"Can you pause for a moment?" Aiden asked Robert beside him.
The golden lotus stopped moving instantly. Aiden quickly jumped down.
Instantly, the hearts of all the Elephant Empire citizens began to race, their faces flushing red as they screamed wildly.
Aiden walked straight toward the little boy, a gentle smile on his face. "Congratulations on your recovery," he said softly.
The boy just stared back with a dazed grin. He didn’t know what to say, so he instinctively rubbed his eyes, as if rubbing them was the only way to prove this wasn’t a hallucination.
Aiden reached out and gently patted the boy’s head. He then pulled out an item he had used before. It wasn’t a high tier—just Platinum Rank.
Equipment that was too high-tier would only stir up jealousy or malice from others, which would end up hurting this boy in the end.
"Here, take it. I hope you’ll become a powerful Reclasser one day," Aiden said. He then turned and hopped back onto the golden lotus.
The boy clutched the item tightly to his chest, his eyes filled with unshakable determination as he watched Aiden’s retreating figure.
...
Meanwhile, outside the Elephant Empire palace, King Xander was nervously adjusting his clothes.
Suddenly, a guard ran over in a panic, whispering a few words into Xander’s ear.
Xander’s face instantly turned pale.
