Wu Chengzu’s car stopped at the base of the building, just in time to see Wu Jingjing returning with a bottle of soy sauce.

"Where have you been?" Wu Chengzu asked in a stern voice.

Wu Jingjing jiggled the soy sauce bottle in her hand, "Aunt Yiran broke the soy sauce bottle at home while cooking, so I came down to buy another one."

"Hmm." Wu Chengzu looked up at his apartment window, his eyes slightly narrowing.

"You really took your time getting back. To buy us some time, I had Aunt Yiran cook a complicated dish!" Noticing Wu Chengzu looking up at something, Wu Jingjing poked him with the soy sauce bottle, "What are you looking at? Let’s go home!"

Wu Jingjing was still looking forward to the upcoming meal; with her dad and Aunt Yiran there, it felt like a family gathering.

Wu Chengzu took out his wallet and handed Wu Jingjing a red bill, stating firmly, "Go to the supermarket and buy some beer."

"You want me to go?" Wu Jingjing glanced at Chen Bei behind Wu Chengzu, "Why not have him go? Beer is heavy!"

Wu Chengzu glanced back at Chen Bei and motioned for him to go with Wu Jingjing.
