Eternal Holy Emperor-Chapter 1219 - 1098: The Horrifying Entity Deep Within the Sea Eye World (Part 2)
The Supreme Daoist Body leapt directly into the bottomless abyss of the Sea Eye, with the sound of whistling winds in his ears, and only after diving at least ten thousand miles deep did he vaguely see the end.
Moreover, a cold and sinister aura emanated from the Sea Eye Abyss, astonishing to the soul.
Ye Chen, being exceptionally skilled and courageous, entered it, heading straight to the deepest point, faintly hearing the sound of terrifying waves, which connected to a special world far larger and more majestic than imagined, appearing exceedingly dark, dim, and devoid of light, with only the genuine sound of monstrous waves crashing.
The waters of the Chaos Sea, upon entering the Sea Eye Abyss, transformed into a vast ocean, submerging most territories, yet many islands floated on its surface.
In this dark world, Ye Chen concealed his Qi and light, merging with the heavens and earth, but sensed an ominous Qi spreading, which made him frown.
Silently, Ye Chen arrived at a slightly larger island, but upon nearing it, his expression changed, for it was not an island at all, but a colossal corpse, lying there, unbelievably massive, spanning at least thousands of miles, with so-called mountain peaks towering hundreds of miles high.
This was merely a corner exposed above the water; below, it could well be over ten thousand miles vast.
Ye Chen took a closer look and identified it as the corpse of a Starry Ancient Beast, and it belonged to the Royal Clan, extremely powerful, slain here.
Moreover, it was apparent that it wasn’t at its true peak, otherwise it would be even larger, not weaker than a Boundary Beast.
Even Ye Chen hadn’t expected to encounter the corpse of a Starry Ancient Beast’s Royal Clan here, rendering him astonished.
One must know that such a Starry Sky Giant Beast Royal Clan is exceedingly rare, possessing the potential to evolve into a mythical progenitor. At its pinnacle, it would be no weaker than a King. Since the epoch of the Heavenly and Myriads of Realms, their appearances have been few and far between, almost countable on one hand, and whenever they appear, they invariably cause great upheaval.
Ye Chen glanced at it with a sigh; such a Starry Sky Giant Beast Royal Clan perished like this, unable to grow to its utmost, yet likely already rivaling the Ancient Great Power Level, also instilling a sense of dread in him.
For such a terrifying Starry Sky Giant Beast Royal Clan had fallen, just who was it that killed it, for its body bore numerous scars, and both its blood and divinity had completely drained, not the result of natural death.
Delving deeper, Ye Chen extended his Divine Sense, strong enough to explore an extensive area, even beneath the water’s surface.
He discovered that the islands in this ocean were not true islands but corners of enormous corpses exposed above the water.
This place was practically a graveyard, unknown how many creatures were buried here, seemingly endless to his Divine Sense perception.
Naturally, not all were of Ancient Great Power Level, as truly of such level couldn’t be many; most were creatures below the Great Power level.
Furthermore, Ye Chen’s Divine Sense couldn’t reach the end, for this place was peculiar, containing a special fluctuation that obstructed his Divine Sense exploration.
"Such a strange place, just what is this place?" Ye Chen muttered in astonishment, observing the environment with apprehension.
This place indeed buried too many creatures, with countless species’ corpses seemingly infinite, dead for unknown years, many of whom were powerful beings, not excluding Great Power Levels. Clearly, it had once undergone a truly cataclysmic battle, even more terrifying than the Era of Gods War, as this world too was battered and scarred.
He noticed numerous corpses had decayed, crumbling, turning into powder at the slightest touch, scattering with the wind, unable to persist.
It’s understood that many of the corpses here were assuredly powerful beings during life, with no lack of Heavenly Kings or even Great Power Levels, yet all had decayed, showcasing just how many years had elapsed.
Presumably far surpassing the Era of Gods in antiquity.
Taichu Era?
Suddenly, a notion flashed across Ye Chen’s mind, startling him.
Roar——
A terrifying howl resounded again, causing numerous corpses in this world to splinter, black waves surging with monstrous force, all originating from the deepest roar.
Ye Chen looked in that direction, with unprecedented gravitas displayed, if the howling being was a creature existing from the ancient battle epochs ago, yet survived into this era without perishing, what kind of formidable entity must it be?
Even the mere thought left one pale, unable to dare further imagine.
Yet having come this far, and possessing a Supreme Daoist Body, Ye Chen naturally was unwilling to return without results, three kinds of forces surged within him, making his Qi momentarily powerful enough to rival Ancient Great Power.
But all Qi was thoroughly restrained, unwilling to alert any ’sleeping dragons’, as he marched deeper, seeing more islands, and numerous remnant weapons emerging, among them Great Power Level Ancient Weapons.
Occasionally, he even saw King-level Immortal Weapons, broken apart, embedded in the ocean, still exuding that special Qi Mechanism to this day.
The deeper Ye Chen ventured, the heavier his mood became; he knew what resided in this dark world’s deepest part could very likely be an unimaginably frightening entity.
He also speculated, was it possible this cataclysmic battle of untold eras past was instigated by a terrifying being at the bottom?
Carefully advancing, he saw at the ocean’s center a particularly large island, also formed by corpses, and not just one, spanning a vast ten thousand mile expanse.
The blood and flesh of those creatures had turned to soil, with decayed Qi floating about, growing even more sinister and dreadful under the dark environment.
Though this was a land of death, Ye Chen clearly sensed an enormous vigor emanating from the island formed of piled corpses, grand and extraordinary.
"Hmm?"
Suddenly, Ye Chen’s expression altered, for he saw in the island’s deepest part several unique corpses, each massive beyond compare, larger than stars.
These were Ancient Great Power level corpses, lying there, but their Origin and Divinity had completely vanished, nothing remained, leaving one in awe.
What was most remarkable, though these great power corpses were drained of blood essence, some dated back unknown eras, while others were only within tens of thousands of years.
Ye Chen even identified one who had partaken in the world’s great upheaval, having faced a Supreme Evil months ago, now a cold corpse inexplicably perished here, completely drained of blood essence and Origin.
There was also an indistinct expression of terror on this Ancient Great Power’s face upon death, as if encountered the most terrifying existence imaginable.
This scene left one’s heart palpitating,
making the hairs on Ye Chen’s body stand up coldly. What kind of creature existed here that even Ancient Great Power couldn’t help but be captured, frightened to death?
Ye Chen’s eyes burst with intense radiance, brilliant light flashing, ready to pierce the nihility with the Heavenly Eye, to witness the most fearsome existence in this place.
After all, he merely sent a Dao Body, fearing nothing.
Clang——
In the deepest recesses, came the clinking of chains crisscrossing and colliding.
Ye Chen saw in the depths an enormous figure looming, vastly immense, even greater than a Boundary Beast, its body entwined by colossal chains, each link so large, formed by endless Dao Runes and Dao Traces, extraordinary, intertwined, binding that terrifying existence, preventing it from standing.
One could distinctly feel the terrifying Dao Qi Mechanism emanating from that frightening existence, as though it could obliterate the Heavenly and Myriads of Worlds.
King!
Ye Chen could discern this being’s Qi, surpassing that of Ancient Great Power, an invincible King Realm existence.
Before it, Ye Chen appeared insignificant, his presence depressingly weak, there was no comparison.
Abruptly, Ye Chen’s scalp tingled, for this terrifying existence opened eyes larger than stars, casting an icy gaze on Ye Chen.
