Era of the transmigrating earth-Chapter 2002: Now We Can Develop on a Large Scale
Du You’s experiment wasn’t fully carried out because the world’s level was too low. He wasn’t sure how completely conquering such a world would affect those seventh-tier powerhouses themselves, so now he could only observe the state of his Puppet Doppelganger.
Earlier, he created a Puppet Doppelganger, his only one, which Du You had already sent back in advance.
Hiding in the Derived World himself, he wouldn’t be noticed by the world consciousness. According to Du You’s perception, his Puppet Doppelganger should be fine. His Doppelganger in this Derived World wasn’t receiving any special attention either.
Once some other Doppelgangers returned, there was similarly no change, which made Du You feel quite relieved.
As long as there’s no problem when he returns, then the large-scale development can commence.
"Master, have some water." A maid approached, looking at Du You with a face full of eagerness.
"Hmph, how can a master’s identity drink water? This is top-tier Rodome wine just tributed, master should try this instead." Just after coming to his senses, Du You noticed the maids around him were engaged in overt and covert rivalry.
This kind of situation hadn’t occurred before; the change wasn’t just because Du You became the world’s ruler. An even bigger reason was that they now knew what had happened.
Once Du You took control of the world, the whole world became bound to him. Suddenly, everyone knew that their fate was closely tied with Du You’s—regardless of status or race, they all became Du You’s vassals.
Then, a stream of information flowed into everyone’s minds, letting them know specific details about the current world.
This was done by the world consciousness and had nothing to do with anyone else. Of course, if Du You were to die, the world would return to the cycle of reincarnation, making these people forget the previous events.
After all, everything would disappear with the new evolution, but the residual power would become nourishment for the world consciousness. This is also one way the world consciousness grows, which Du You could perceive.
However, now that it’s in his hands, things are entirely different.
As for the maids’ eagerness, Du You of course knew why. They wanted to gain his favor, hoping to be chosen as his followers, so they could leave with him.
Everyone knew they weren’t real but were illusory, so they all wanted to seize this opportunity. Not only Du You but those adventurers were also targets these people had chosen.
Once becoming followers, they might turn into someone else’s servants or even slaves, but that would at least be real.
They wouldn’t disappear with the world’s cycle of reincarnation, could have the opportunity to cultivate to improve, and could see more worlds and more landscapes. No one, after knowing reality, would want to remain illusory.
No matter how dangerous it is, it’s much better than their current state.
Many had even felt scenes from their previous cycles of reincarnation, each time being the same, as if they were puppets. This is why they are all so proactive.
Du You wasn’t bothered; he was still in school. If a sixteen-year-old brought followers back, wouldn’t that expose his identity? However, some were decent enough that he could nurture them a little.
No need to fight himself, his Doppelgangers could do it.
Because the world consciousness didn’t see them as one, their tasks were separate, and so were the points. It’s no problem for them to train their followers.
"Now, there’s only one last experiment left." A few days later, after the world completely stabilized and Du You left some people to take turns guarding it, he prepared to leave.
Taking a deep breath, Du You disappeared directly, returning to his original body.
The power he had gained surged into himself, starting to merge. Since this power was cultivated by himself, it bore no imprint of the world consciousness, but Du You still cautiously observed. Only after realizing there were no issues did he feel relieved.
If he’s fine, his Doppelgangers should be fine as well.
At the same time, Du You remained constantly alert in case of worldly attacks, ready to escape at any moment. Worlds unaccustomed to external invasion and external world intrusion would definitely react slower.
Luckily, after waiting a while, Du You didn’t encounter an attack nor notice attention from the world consciousness. At this point, Du You finally relaxed. "Seems like there’s no problem now."
Du You walked out of the Hibernation Cabin, stood by the window, looking outside. His Doppelganger hadn’t been attacked or suppressed, nor had he himself been noticed. This indicated that the world truly didn’t understand the situation regarding Puppet Doppelgangers.
Perhaps it’s understood, but they might not detect Du You himself.
A tenth-tier world can’t perfectly control its own power. For individuals, the stronger they are, the more perfectly they control their powers, and the more powerful their strength becomes.
However, as the world’s level increases, its own mass strengthens, but utilizing its power becomes increasingly troublesome.
Because of this, previously, the world could always suppress same-tier powerhouses, but upon reaching the ninth tier, same-tier powerhouses could easily destroy worlds instead, so the world must rely on them.
Without ninth-tier powerhouses for protection, even a world-class world facing a ninth-tier powerhouse would still be troublesome, easily injured if not careful, and could even lead to more severe consequences.
One reason Du You created Puppet Doppelgangers was to produce several strong beings.
These could not only divert the world consciousness’s attention but also provide some assistance in future confrontations with the world. To deal with the world, Du You already had a plan: to conquer more Derived Worlds.
Though after becoming the world ruler he had high authority over these Derived Worlds, they were actually still tightly controlled by the world consciousness. However, Du You now has legitimate rights to resist.
Du You is studying new methods to expel the control of the world consciousness, allowing himself to be the absolute ruler of the new world. If accomplished, controlling these Derived Worlds one by one could enable the collective explosive power of these Derived Worlds to suppress the world consciousness.
In this respect, it’s very similar to his initial approach to the Dragon Clan World, except the true world has now been turned into a Derived World. After numerous simulations, Du You believes this plan has a high chance of success.
