Entwined by Dawn: The CEO's Relentless Obsession-Chapter 81: Not the Slightest Regret
Cheng Junnan had never before seen eyes so bright and piercing, like the glass marbles he used to play with as a child, shining transparently.
In those swollen eyes, he even saw his own nearly grotesque expression.
When did the gentlemanly Mr. Cheng turn into this?
Cheng Junnan was startled by his own fierce appearance, his brows knitted tightly.
Gu Tiantian didn’t care about other things; she knew she had been rash today, but Cheng Junnan’s behavior was too excessive.
So, she had no regrets about cursing Cheng Junnan and getting a slap in exchange!
Seeing Cheng Junnan frowning and silent, glaring at her with a grim face, Gu Tiantian slowly stood up and turned to leave.
"Stop!"
If she stopped now, she would be a fool!
Gu Tiantian gritted her teeth against the pain, holding her waist, and quickly went to pull open the office door.
But, once again, she failed.
Because her calf suddenly hurt, and with a thud, she fell to the ground again.
The pain distorted her small face.
Looking at Gu Tiantian, pale and collapsed on the ground, Cheng Junnan didn’t expect this to happen.
He intended to stop Gu Tiantian from escaping, but didn’t expect that a casual, light lift of his foot would cause her to fall again.
Recalling Gu Tiantian’s "get lost," he was briefly stunned, then the anger flared up once more.
Who was he!
He was Young Master Cheng!
Besides, after already giving a slap, would he care about that light leg lift just now?
Cheng Junnan never thought that it was precisely this slap and this leg lift that he would regret for a lifetime.
Regret to the point that his insides turned green.
But alas, there’s no medicine for regret in the world.
Many years later, whenever Cheng Junnan thought of it, his heart would ache with cramps!
But that’s a story for another time!
"Still trying to run?"
Looking down at Gu Tiantian from above, seeing her sprawled awkwardly on the floor, from this angle, he could see the previously hidden neckline, the bruises on her neck.
Of course, the suave and charming Cheng Junnan knew what kind of marks those were.
Considering that Bai Chenyao had been in his office with Gu Tiantian for over two hours earlier, how could he not know?
Yet somehow, it was exceptionally irritating to him.
Gu Tiantian was so angry she wanted to curse, but unfortunately, she was powerless now.
The pain in her tailbone consumed her attention, leaving no room to deal with Cheng Junnan.
She wanted to leave, but the situation wouldn’t allow it.
Any slight movement tugged at her injury, making her grimace in pain.
Seeing Gu Tiantian utterly immobilized, Cheng Junnan let out a cold snort.
He kicked the large potted plant nearby, the noise was quite loud.
But with the door closed, nobody knew what was happening inside.
Gu Tiantian tried to get up again, but the blood on her forehead increased, shifting her vision between a brownish-gray carpet and bright red blood streaks.
A dizzy spell hit her; head aching, body sore all over, and after that previous fall, she couldn’t resist any longer, her eyes rolled back, and she fainted.
Cheng Junnan originally intended to properly teach Gu Tiantian a lesson, to make her realize the consequences of crossing him, Cheng Junnan.
Before he could speak, he saw Gu Tiantian’s supporting hand go soft, and she collapsed onto the floor.
"Gu Tiantian!"
"Gu Tiantian!"
Cheng Junnan called twice, but the fallen Gu Tiantian didn’t respond.
Cheng Junnan frowned and quickly crouched down.
He shook Gu Tiantian’s shoulder, calling her name twice more, but she still didn’t respond.
The blood on her forehead continued to flow.
Cursing inwardly, Cheng Junnan kicked the flower pot once again in frustration, then called out to the outside.
"Meili!"
