Chapter 514: Different Kind

The sky trembled as Clyde tore through it. The black mist trailing behind him.

His eyes was pitch black voids now. He scanned the sky above as the first wave of Celestials descended upon him.

The ones who came at him right now were not the mightiest of them. The strongest were still watched from above with cautious feeling.

Instead, they sent the lesser gods first.

From the west came Itzamna, the Mayan sky god who wielding a staff of obsidian and light. His body was draped in ancient runes. His voice thundering as he called down fire.

From the north descended Ullr, Norse realm god of the hunt and winter. Arrows of ice launched from his bow like meteors.

On the eastern wind flew Xihe, the sun goddess cloaked in golden bright light and fire.

And with them came their armies of Celestial soldiers made of flame, bone light, while chanting ancient war chants.

Clyde didn’t hesitate. His facial expression don’t even change.

He met their charge with cold fury.

Itzamna’s staff came down at him but Clyde using his Elderglass sword to block it with a screech of metal against that energy.

Clyde moved and Dusksorrow following in a clean arc that severed Itzamna’s hand at the wrist.

The god screamed, but before he could fall back, Clyde plunged the crimson blade through his throat in a terrifying speed.

Itzamna’s body burst into shards of light and dust that entered Clyde’s body.

Ullr unleashed a barrage of frost arrows and order his soldiers to do the same. But the black mist immediately coiled around Clyde like armor, devouring the projectiles midair.

Clyde then vanished and reappearing behind the god in a flicker of distorted space.

Ullr barely turned his head to look before Elderglass sword’s blue and green blade split him from shoulder to hip. His body crashing into the void below in death.

Xihe shouted in rage. Her whole form erupting into a miniature sun.

She hurled fire upon fire. Her soldiers do the same, creating entire arcs of sun power that ignited the sky.

Clyde stood in the center of it, his cloak burned away, but his body unfazed. He threw Dusksorrow at her like a javelin.

It flew straight through the solar flame and her soldiers then pierced Xihe’s chest, and exploded in black-red energy.

She coughed her magic energy and blood, staggered and Clyde was already in front of her a moment later.

Xihe feels horror of death at that moment. frёewebnoѵēl.com

One stroke from Elderglass cut her clean in half.

The Celestial soldiers saw his work, and they wavered. Some charged in desperation because their master had been killed in front of their eyes.

It didn’t matter for Clyde, though.

The black mist swallowed them. Screams echoed in every direction. Clyde moved like an unstoppable force, no longer bound by gravity or mercy.

He killed without words or hesitation.

When the last soldier fell, Clyde stood in the sky surrounded by ash and falling starlight.

His swords dripped with celestial ichor. His breath still steady even after the carnage.

Above him, the stronger Celeastials began to stir.

They had seen enough.

The anomaly had become stronger than before. Now they start to doubt if their number will be enough.

Clyde looked up.

His pitch-black eyes reflected no light, only the void.

His white hair flowed in the windless sky and the black mist around him stirred like something sentient, coiling and uncoiling.

To those watching, he no longer resembled a man or just an anomaly.

He was something else now. Like a god who were not came from their cosmos.

He turned his gaze to Michael who was hovering not far above, still gripping his sword. But Clyde passed him by with nothing more than a glance. Michael didn’t move. That gaze alone had frozen his breath wether he admit it or not.

Clyde’s eyes locked onto Uriel.

She was still floating not far from Michael. The blood was still in her face and sword.

Clyde remembered how she had stabbed Asqa’s corpse, screamed at her lifeless body, then set her body aflame in madness and hate.

Clyde moved toward her.

Uriel’s fire flared as she saw him coming. Her wings opened wide and a wall of white-gold flame erupted in front of her.

"Stay back!" she screamed, summoning every drop of her Angelic power.

But Clyde kept coming.

The flames hit him like a wave crashing down a mountain. Yet he didn’t slow. He walked through them.

Uriel’s eyes widened in disbelief, her expression cracking as panic took hold.

Gabriel appeared beside her in a burst of light. He throwing out a barrier of silver light to reinforce Uriel’s.

It didn’t matter for Clyde.

Clyde raised Elderglass sword and cut through the barrier with a single strike.

The shockwave shattered Gabriel’s defense, sent him tumbling backward. Uriel screamed and fired a blast of holy energy point-blank.

Clyde caught it with Dusksorrow.

The black mist surged from his arm, swallowed the light.

He keep moving toward her in the blink of an eye and drove Elderglass forward, piercing Uriel through the abdomen.

She gasped, her mouth open in horror. But it wasn’t just the sword.

The black mist flowed into her through the wound.

Uriel’s skin cracked instantly, thin black lines spreading across her body like dry earth in drought. Her wings twitched, her eyes bloodshot.

"No—" she choked.

From her mouth, eyes, and nose, black mist began to spill.

Her limbs shook violently, her aura fractured and shrieking.

She tried to scream but only mist came out.

And then her body crumbled like glass under pressure. She fractured, then disintegrated into black ash that scattered on the void.

Uriel, one of the strongest Archangels, was gone.

The sky went quiet.

Even the higher Celestials, Archangel, and Demons now hesitated.

But Clyde was still far from done.

Michael then speak with his loud voice.

"If we want to stop him. We must attack him together!"

Zeus and Hades who already have so much grudge againts Clyde start moving. The Celestials from the same Realm followed them.
