Chapter 178: Chapter 178: I Want to Take Responsibility for Sienna

Sienna opened her mouth and ate the meat, smiling at Silas. "So obedient. When your wound heals, I’ll take you back to my hometown to have some fun. There’s a little river there—I used to catch fish when I was a kid. I’ll show you all my favorite hometown snacks. They’re really delicious, you’ll definitely love them."

Listening to her call herself "big sister" nonstop, Silas’s fingers tightened around his chopsticks without meaning to.

But his face showed no reaction—instead, he nodded happily, "I’d love that."

Sienna’s eyes glinted, looking at him, "Aren’t you going to thank your big sister?"

There was a swirl of emotion rolling in Silas’s deep gaze.

He bit down subtly, and let out a low, hoarse sound from his throat.

"Thank you, big sister."

Sienna pretended she hadn’t heard him clearly, cupped her ear and said, "A little louder, I didn’t catch that."

Silas stared at Sienna’s smiling eyes, his fingers clenched.

He raised his voice. "Thank you, big sister."

His voice was so loud that both Lucy Rhodes and Julian—who had just come in—heard it.

The two of them widened their eyes at exactly the same time, walking over like robots.

Lucy Rhodes asked incredulously, "Sienna, why did my brother just call you big sister? What exciting game are you two playing?"

Nobody knows her brother’s personality better than her.

Even if they were playing a couple’s game, it would be Sienna calling him big brother or dad. There’s no way her brother would call Sienna "big sister."

But just now, she saw it herself—her brother, kinda like a little puppy, called Sienna big sister.

And he said it really sweetly too.

Did her brother’s brain get fried or something?

Sienna gently brushed Silas’s head. "He only remembers being ten right now, doesn’t even know who I am. Since I’m taking care of him, he’s just calling me big sister."

Hearing this, Lucy’s eyes widened with curiosity.

She pointed at her nose and asked, "Bro, do you know who I am?"

Just moments ago, Silas’s gaze had been gentle when looking at Sienna. Facing Lucy now, his expression immediately cooled.

He frowned with obvious dislike, "Lucy Rhodes, my useless little sister."

Lucy immediately pulled Julian over. "Do you know who he is?"

Silas shot Julian a look, then shook his head indifferently, "Don’t know him."

Julian blinked his big, bright eyes, not looking sad at all.

He grabbed Sienna’s hand, "Mommy, since he doesn’t know us now, let’s go abroad and find Fries! Uncle Kane is still single—if you marry him, Fries and I can always be together!"

Sienna laughed, ruffling Julian’s head. "That’s actually a pretty good idea. I’ll think about it."

After hearing that, Silas’s dark eyes instantly flashed cold.

He grabbed Sienna’s hand, his attitude firm. "He’s mine. You’re not allowed to take him."

Julian hugged Sienna’s arm tightly, "She’s my mom! Why are you fighting me for her—she’s not even related to you!"

The little guy was very assertive, his eyes glaring at Silas.

Even if daddy lost his memory and forgot everyone else in the whole world, he shouldn’t forget mommy.

Mom finally forgave daddy and agreed to be with him. Now he’s lost his memory again—how heartbroken must mommy be?

He was doing all this on purpose, trying to provoke daddy.

So that he’d remember mommy soon.

He could forget anyone else—but he absolutely couldn’t forget mommy.

The two of them each grabbed one of Sienna’s arms, looking like they were about to rip her in half.

Silas looked a little aggrieved at Sienna. "You promised to stay with me, why aren’t you keeping your word? Are you just like them, not wanting me anymore?"

Seeing his eyes begin to redden, Sienna quickly smiled and ruffled his hair.

"I was just teasing you with Julian. Not only will I never leave you, they won’t leave you either. We’re all your family."

Silas pointed at Julian with obvious dislike, "Who’s this brat trying to steal you from me?"

"He’s your son—Julian Prescott. He loves you very much."

Silas was silent for a few seconds. "He’s my son, he calls you mommy, so that means you’re my wife. Why did you lie and say grandpa asked you to take care of me? Did you see I lost my memory and now want to abandon your husband and son and run away?"

Sienna was speechless, suddenly branded as an abandoning wife. She really didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

"I didn’t lie to you. I’m not your wife—we’re not married, we never got a marriage certificate."

"So you had my child before marriage? The kid’s already this big and I still haven’t married you... damn, I must’ve been a total jerk before."

Sienna really wanted to say, you’re absolutely right—you were exactly a jerk.

But looking at the amnesiac Silas, she didn’t dare.

She could only comfort him. "It’s complicated. When you’re better, I’ll slowly explain everything to you."

Silas grabbed Sienna’s wrist, voice low and hoarse. "Sienna, I’m sorry. It’s all my fault. You even gave me a son and I haven’t given you a proper title. Don’t worry—once I’m discharged, I’ll marry you and get the certificate."

Hearing that, Sienna looked at Silas in disbelief. "Don’t you only have memories from when you were ten? How do you even know about marriage?"

Silas looked deeply at her. "I only remember being ten, but my body’s a grown man. I’m old enough to get married. I can be responsible for you. When I get my memory back, we can have a wedding ceremony, okay?"

For a moment, Sienna couldn’t tell if this was ten-year-old Silas, or thirty-two-year-old Silas.

Why did she get the feeling Silas was using this amnesia thing to trick her into coming home?

Lucy Rhodes thought something was fishy too. She leaned close and whispered in Sienna’s ear, "Sienna, are you sure my brother lost his memory?"

Sienna nodded. "Caleb Langdon ran psychological tests—he really only remembers up to age ten. Intelligence is at that level too. There’s no mistake."

"If Caleb wasn’t a well-known psychologist, I’d honestly think my brother is faking—just trying to trick you back home."

Hearing her say that, Silas reached over and knocked her on the head, "Stop stirring things up! Sienna gave me a son—do you want your brother to be an irresponsible bastard?"

Lucy looked at Silas’s sharp eyes and shook her head quickly, "No, I don’t."

"Then stay out of the way. Don’t bother us while we eat."

Silas pulled Sienna to sit down, piling lots of food into her bowl.

His eyes were full of tenderness. "Eat. Ignore them."

Lucy’s eyes widened with curiosity. "Bro, you’ve only got a ten-year-old’s mind right now—isn’t this, like, puppy love or something?"

Silas shot her a look, annoyed. "You were chasing boys in kindergarten, telling them you’d be their wife—don’t think I forgot."

Lucy’s cheeks flushed red. "Bro, you lost your memory! Couldn’t you at least forget my embarrassing moments too?"

"Nope. I remember you writing a love letter to your class leader in first grade, got caught by the teacher, parents got called, and I was the one who went."

Seeing him go further and further, Lucy hurriedly covered his mouth. "Bro, Sienna and Julian are here—could you have a little mercy and not embarrass me?"

Silas: "Then help me with something—go home and get the household register for me. I want to take responsibility for Sienna."
