Ensnaring his Dark Moon-Chapter 215: Aleister
Atlas strode towards the main throne in the middle of the two throne chairs while the rest of the people stood up.
Luciana tugged at Esme’s hand.
Esme blinked, ’’Lucy...’’
’’Sshhh. Close your mouth and adjust your veil. He won’t pay attention to you in the crowd. Also...’’
’’Lucy,’’ Esme interrupted the woman as she spoke in her ear, ’’He is not the man I met last night.’’
’’What?" Luciana frowned, ’’But you said that it was the King of the Dark Castle.’’
Esme glanced at Atlas, the man had pale blue eyes too but he wasn’t the man she met. She was certain about it, ’’They addressed him as ’Your Highness’.’’ 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
’’That title is reserved for the Princes, Es. Why would they address their God as such?’’
’’I know but... Lucy, they were terrified of that person and there are only two Princes in the Castle. One, who wants to have tea with you, and the other for whom we are here. Why would they be scared of a child?’’ Esme’s brows tugged together, ’’I thought they address their King that way here.’’
Once Atlas took a seat, the remaining people started sitting.
Luciana leaned back on the chair, ’’Let us not talk about it. We need to keep our minds on the blessing ceremony. Once it is over, we are out of here. Till then, let us stay in our rooms,’’ The King or Prince apart, Luciana did not want Esme to bump into Cardan’s insane mother.
That crazy woman would eat their flesh and suck them dry.
Esme was on the same page as Luciana so she nodded, letting out a sigh of relief. At least, she did not offend Atlas, the man in power.
However, the relieved sigh was lodged back into her throat like a fishbone when another person stepped inside the night court.
The tall figure strode forward with powerful footsteps. His dark hair was coiffed to perfection and his black robe clung to his muscular body.
The already quiet court erupted in chaos as the man made his way towards the King slowly.
Esme was taken aback when the pair of blue eyes met hers in the court full of people.
It was one gaze.
One gaze was all it took to snatch her calm away.
’Thump’
’Thump’
’Thump’
He was the man she met yesterday. It was partially dark in his room hence she realized that he was much more bewitching than she gave him credit for.
But she could not explain if the cause of her racing heart was former or the latter.
’’Lucy... Lucy...’’ She held Luciana’s hand, tugging at it while gazing at the man who walked towards the throne chair placed on the right of the King’s throne. As he took a seat, Esme turned to look at Luciana, ’’It’s him—’’
Her words stopped mid-way when she noticed Luciana’s dropped jaw and pale face.
’’Luciana...’’ Esme blinked. What happened to her?
It was only then did she notice the shocked look on everyone else’s faces.
Especially the pair sitting right opposite them. The woman whom she remembered as Ruby and the silver-haired man sitting next to her had shock written all over their faces.
While Esme was glancing at them, Adrian probably felt her stare at him because he turned to look at her.
Their eyes met for a brief moment. His brows tugged together slightly with what she concluded as displeasure.
Esme smiled awkwardly, adjusting her veil as she turned to Luciana once again, ’’Do you need rest?"
’’Es.. he...’’ Lucina stuttered as she glanced at the man sitting next to Atlas and Cardan, ’’He...’’
’’...is beautiful, isn’t he? I was like you too,’’ Esme followed Luciana’s gaze, ’’I went into a daze when I saw him for the first time yesterday.’’
Luciana opened her mouth, ’’He is Aleister Daven.’’
Luciana did not whether she was muttering the words for Esme or for herself. She was trying to make herself believe that this was not a surreal illusion.
The man... whom they saw dying in front of their eyes was not dead at all.
Esme turned towards her, ’’Who is he? Do you know him?"
Tears welled up in Luciana’s eyes when she looked at Esme’s clueless expression.
Back when they were enemies, Luciana loved to pick on Esme unreasonably because she felt she got a worthy opponent who was not going to be scared of her. But when Aleister died and Esme was so desolate, Luciana hated the feeling of pity that overwhelmed her.
They were friends now, and she still hated the pity she felt for Esme at the moment.
She did not mind hating or loving Esme, but she despised the feeling of pitying this woman.
’’You look like you are going to shed all your tears today,’’ Esme held her hand, ’’What happened? Is he your previous lover or something?"
Luciana laughed, ’’Maybe.’’
’’Tell me more,’’ Esme leaned closer to her conspiratorially.
’’You will beat me when you regain your memories,’’ Luciana mumbled in a barely audible voice.
Esme’s grip on Luciana’s hand loosened and a frown appeared between her brows because unbeknownst to Luciana, she heard her loud and clear.
’’Do I know him too?" Esme glanced towards the man who was sitting on the throne chair quietly.
Their eyes met and she averted her gaze. Regardless of how he looked, she disliked the man for deceiving her yesterday. She made a fool of herself in front of him and he played along.
’’Why.. do you ask?" Luciana blinked.
Esme glanced at her for a moment before shaking her head.
It was only when the King announced the man’s identity in the night court did Esme understand why everyone was shocked.
This person was Aleister, Atlas’ elder son, and Prince Cardan’s elder brother. His mother was a human and hence he grew up in the mortal realm but now that he was back in his real place, the King wanted a blessing ceremony for his son so that his divine powers could always remain pristine and powerful
The Prince whom they were all expecting to be a child was not a child. In heaven, there was no compulsion for the blessing ceremony to be held only for children.
It can be done at any age on the condition that all the five main gods bless the person with their powers.
