Chapter 742: Chapter 220 The Devil’s Territory_3

Lebius knew of its existence but never understood it, even the Order Bureau’s records of it were scant. The only known fact is that those who truly enter Joyful Garden never return.

"What do you know about this?"

Lebius pressed further. It was a train ticket, a ticket to a train named Joy Park.

Damn it, could it be that this randomly appearing eerie Void Realm is essentially a never-ending train? That’s why it can frequently appear between nations, causing endless disasters.

This is really not a good time to learn secrets, because Lebius saw that the boarding time on the train ticket was just a dozen minutes away.

Lebius didn’t understand the bizarre mechanics of Joyful Garden, but this imminent timing was like a countdown bomb, about to blow everyone to bits.

"The poets have also studied the devils, unlike other groups, our connection with the devils is still quite close."

The Canary wasn’t sure if this was an advantage, as when all the other devils appeared aloof, only Belphegor seemed especially close to the poets, like a friend.

"Devils cannot directly interfere in the world, nor do they have a specific form. In the material world, they are bound by countless restrictions, but when you are within the territory of their material world, everything changes."

"The devils’ territories... I know of this."

This was not a secret to Lebius. Devils, within their own territories, possess the power to break the shackles of reality, such as the Tyrant’s wandering paths or Belphegor’s House of the Rising Sun.

Lebius suddenly realized what the Canary was going to say, "No way..."

The Canary’s voice carried a hint of terror, "Joyful Garden, to be precise, the Joy Park train is actually the territory of the Joyous Desire Witch, a never-ending domain racing along the tracks."

"I act under Belphegor’s orders, this train ticket is what I obtained while hunting the Zongge Orchestra. It’s the credential for boarding Joyful Garden. It doesn’t have a boarding location, because Joyful Garden will come to you... when it’s time to board."

The Canary tried to keep her voice soft, "The boarding time is approaching... Joyful Garden is coming closer to us."

"Is it just for the original object?"

The devils’ personal arrival made Lebius both shocked and delighted, proving once again the importance of the original object, yet this time he had no confidence in protecting it.

Lebius imagined the worst scenario, being attacked by Defenders rather than experiencing a devil’s arrival.

"I don’t know, who could ever know what these devils are really thinking!"

The Canary suddenly handed the Tooth of Deathly Silence to Lebius. As Lebius took the handle, the influence of the Contract Object transferred to him.

"I originally planned this ticket to hunt Bai Ou... I have a way to avoid this, as long as I get off the train her target is the one holding the ticket."

Joyful Garden had already locked onto her; time was imminent, even discarding the ticket now couldn’t escape Joyful Garden’s scope.

These people had already helped her, there was no need for the Canary to take them along, boarding that train of no return.

The Canary pleaded, "Bring Bai Ou to him."

Lebius hesitated for a moment, as he was about to reach out and take the Tooth of Deathly Silence, freeing the Canary, to let her face Joyful Garden alone, Lebius suddenly noticed the time on the ticket changing again.

The boarding time was now!

The two locked eyes; from each other’s gaze, they both read emotions louder than a thunderous roar. This emotion seemed to pierce through reality, transforming into a more deafening whistle.

A beam of dazzling light tore through the darkness; it wasn’t coming from the back of the train, but from the front.

It was as if some twisted and ferocious creature tore through the dark curtain, crawling into the real world, waving countless arms and displaying steel-like mane, with protruding pale bones forming a supporting structure.

Lebius climbed atop the train, only able to see a rapidly approaching intense light, as though the train was heading towards the blazing sun.

Joyful Garden arrived, like an evil plan or a cruel bet, faster than the forecasted time on the ticket.

Right in front!

Lebius relied on the whistle, the sound roaring within the Heart Core Net.

Others had already sensed the anomaly the moment the whistle rang, they stood up, violent ether undulating, savage wolves broke free from steel bindings, leaping into the wilderness, charging towards the nearing sun.

The wolf pack cut the tracks before the train arrived, but this could not halt Joyful Garden’s advance. The blazing sun easily shattered the Blade-Biting Wolf, grinding them into countless fragments; heavy tracks extended before the blazing sun, replacing the broken rails.

The train from the story appeared out of thin air on the tracks, followed by two trains colliding head-on, without any reduction in speed, like beasts meeting on a narrow path, roaring furiously, and then lunging at each other, tearing with the utmost brutality.

Approach, collide, shatter.

In an instant, the locomotive became a rapidly expanding fireball, successive carriages twisted and deformed, like a bent spine, then another heavy locomotive crushed through flames and steel, pierced the spreading fireball, raising a fiery rain that ignited the dark wilderness.

Intense vibrations swept through the entire train, making everyone feel as if they were shaken violently inside a can, repeatedly battered leaving them bruised, shattered glass and flying iron debris cut their bodies, blood gushing everywhere, then evaporated by the surging high temperature.

Joy Park train was like a giant sword forcing straight forward, sequentially piercing through subsequent carriages, utterly shattering them on the tracks, like a giant serpent swallowing a smaller one whole.

In the House of the Rising Sun, visiting guests had all left, a new bet between Belphegor and Asmodeus was established, witnessed by the Astronaut.

"Then let’s see who wins this bet, my kindred."

Belphegor watched the scene within the screen, in the twisted and collapsing carriage, Bologue grabbed Erwin as the expanding Flame of the Cauldron repeatedly reshaped the steel, driving away those deadly shards.

Erwin stared dully at the flying ticket, covered by flames seeping from the steel, then as the flames shattered, like a shifting curtain, the Joyful Garden’s locomotive became an advancing iron wall, breaking through the barriers.

Thirty-three years of pursuit, the dirty secrets hidden deep in the heart, Erwin Flesher’s wish...

All of this, within reach.
