Elf Kingdom: Game of the World Tree-Chapter 1220 - 795: Crystal City, Plane Gate (Part 2)
"You guys should look carefully, if I’m not mistaken, my father once told me there’s an underground passage in the Ice Sealed Valley that leads to the Crystal City."
"Not only the Ice Sealed Valley, Rivendell originally had a long-distance teleportation array directly to the Crystal City, but unfortunately, it was completely destroyed in the God War, leaving no trace."
"Speaking of which... the Crystal City originally served as the main city of the Shadow Tribe... but it was shared with the Thunder Clan."
Carlos spoke leisurely, while the players hurriedly recorded his words.
"Chosen Ones, if you find the Crystal City, remember to bring me back some magic crystals."
Carlos smiled.
Magic crystals?
Li Mu and Demacia exchanged a glance.
They knew of such things, reportedly a superb magic ore suitable for forging crystal equipment.
And, they’re quite attractive.
...
Having learned about magic electric stones from Carlos, the players excitedly left.
Interestingly, because this stone absorbs magic power, even identification magic has no effect on it. If it weren’t for Carlos, the players wouldn’t quickly understand what it was.
Once the news about magic electric stones spread, the players in the Elf Forest became excited.
A self-charging magic crystal, everyone could see its value and potential.
Suddenly, players throughout the Elf Forest began heading to Ice Sealed Valley.
As countless players poured in, more and more magic electric stones were unearthed, and the players joyously discovered that beneath the Ice Sealed Valley lay a massive vein of magic electric stone!
"So... that’s probably why the Thunder Clan elves built a city here, as they are known for their lightning magic."
Li Mu couldn’t help but marvel.
More and more players entered Ice Sealed Valley, and the Demon Beasts nesting here really suffered.
However, there were still three areas in the valley that players dared not set foot in.
These were zones inhabited by three Legendary Demon Beasts: a Dragon Hawk, a Mutated Thunder Earth Dragon, and a Single-Horned Thunder Python...
Little Xian Miao from the Mengmeng Committee wanted Mairrel to deal with them, but unfortunately, the Black Dragon King was currently rampaging in the Silent Annihilation Wilderness with several Mythical Giant Dragons.
Ultimately, the players had to take a detour.
Subsequently, once players gradually learned about Ice Sealed Valley’s situation, they discovered the underground passage the Elf Blacksmith mentioned.
This underground passage was located in a ruined temple deep in the valley, long since becoming a paradise for the Earth Cave Spiders. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
However, the mother of these Earth Cave Spiders here was clearly much weaker than Rose, with most Earth Cave Spiders being quite low in strength.
The players didn’t expend much effort and merely tricked Spider Queen Rose into a run to get rid of them.
The Spider Mother was slain by Rose, and the small spiders were seized by her, becoming her progeny.
Yet, after eliminating the Earth Cave Spiders, when players tried persuading Rose to also take care of the other Legendary Demon Beasts in the Ice Sealed Valley, they were rejected.
Earth Cave Spiders have two weaknesses.
Afraid of light, afraid of electricity.
Although she’s also a Legendary Demon Beast, she’s truly no match for these lightning attribute beasts.
If it weren’t that the underground passage supposedly holds a rich magic stone mine, the Earth Cave Spiders probably wouldn’t choose to live here.
Once the spiders entrenched in the underground passage were cleaned out, exploration became much easier.
As players ventured under the Northwest Forest, they witnessed a breathtaking scene.
In the vast underground space, embedded in the cavern walls were crystals of various sizes, their yellowish glow illuminating the entire underground realm exceptionally bright.
And within the cavern, what unfolded was a flourishing forest.
This wasn’t some forest composed of underground flora, but a real forest, and many parts emitted a faint fluorescence, the crystals casting a mysterious allure—a visual wonder.
If anything compares, the last time players felt such awe, it might have been when they viewed the Elf Forest from the World Tree.
But just when players thought this stunning underground forest couldn’t be more magnificent, they glimpsed an even more unforgettable sight.
At the heart of the underground forest lay a completely dazzling elf city made of delicate blue crystal.
This was the lost and final elf city—Crystal City.
With this, all elf main cities in the Elf Forest were discovered by players.
"Is this the Crystal City? It’s... breathtaking."
Seeing the crystal city glimmering with rainbow hues, Little Xian Miao’s eyes sparkled like stars.
Unlike the surface Ice Sealed Valley, the Crystal City was relatively intact.
After all, this was the Underworld, and due to its remote location, it was isolated from the Dark Territory. The Demon Beasts living here weren’t plentiful, causing less destruction than in Ice Sealed Valley.
Of course, it wasn’t entirely untouched, as the Crystal City’s materials comprised magic crystals, favored by Earth Cave Spiders, leaving visible nibbled traces throughout many ruins if one looked closely.
But even so, its allure couldn’t be diminished.
"The mineral resources here are probably comparable to those of Rivendell and Mountain Peak City!"
Marveling at the almost exposed veins around Crystal City, Li Mu couldn’t help but exclaim.
Being directly connected to the elf manufacturing capital Rivendell via long-distance teleportation array must signify something special, and it’s clear the specialty of Crystal City lies in its resources.
With increasing players, the demand for various minerals surged, driving even magic guns’ prices up considerably. Now discovering a rich mining area significantly alleviated the resource pressure.
"Let’s delve further."
Li Mu suggested to fellow players.
Crystal City is much smaller in scale than Ice Sealed Valley.
In fact, in ancient records, Crystal City was originally the smallest among all elf main cities.
Incidentally, of the seven elf main cities, the largest is the Elf Capital, followed by Feilengcui, Rivendell, Cenolan, and Milovia.
Nearly every one or two elf tribes owns a main city; the Moonlight Tribe has the Elf Capital, the Gale Tribe has Feilengcui, the Shadow Tribe has both Rivendell and Crystal City, the Flame Tribe and Yan Sha Tribe have Cenolan, the Frost Tribe has Milovia, and lastly, the Thunder Clan has Ice Sealed Valley...
Returning to the present.
The whole Crystal City formed a hexagonal layout, akin to a giant magic array, with a crystalline temple in the city center.
The temple was magnificent, but when players arrived, their gaze was promptly drawn to another feature beside the temple.
"What’s that?"
Demacia expressed amazement.
It was a damaged crystal gate, taller and grander than the temple, adorned with mysterious magic runes and various indecipherable lettering.
At the same time, within the Divine Country on the World Tree, Eve, resting with closed eyes, gently opened them:
"They’ve found Minder’s Plane Gate, have they..."
