Chapter 1094: Chapter 737: The Toil and Dilemma of the Working Demon

"Where are those bastards? Tell me! Where have all those bastards run off to?!"

Inside the Demon Maze, Azazel sat on his throne, glaring furiously at the Demon Lord he had summoned.

The unfortunate demon summoned trembled in fear.

He kept his head down, not daring to meet Azazel’s eyes.

"Seven million troops! A full seven million troops! Even if I’ve been summoning subordinates a bit more frequently lately, with all those Abyss Nests and wild demons in the plane, couldn’t they replenish the forces?!"

Azazel clenched his fists, grinding his teeth.

Sealed inside the Demon Maze, He couldn’t send out any information, nor could He remotely command His Abyss Plane.

However, He could summon His subordinates from the Abyss and, through them, learn about the situation of the First Layer of Hell.

That’s why, when the war between gods and demons erupted and the real strength of the First Layer of Hell was exposed, that pitiful power instantly shocked Azazel.

He knew His summoning would inevitably decrease the number of demons in the Demon Army.

But in His calculations, after the additions and subtractions, there would only be a gap of a few hundred thousand at most.

Unexpectedly, two-thirds of the entire Demon Army was gone!

"Tell me, where did everyone go? If you can’t give me a satisfactory answer, don’t even think about resting in the palace anymore."

Azazel grabbed the summoned Demon Lord, speaking in a cold voice.

The newly summoned Demon Lord didn’t quite understand the meaning of the Demon Lord, but He could clearly sense the intense killing intent from the other.

"A... Azazel Lord..."

He swallowed his saliva, speaking in a terrified manner:

"All... all the demons you summoned... none of them returned, and not only that, several Lords who left Soul Fires in Hell have had their flames extinguished, falling completely..."

"Moreover, demons discovered that some Lords’ Soul Fires trembled violently before extinguishing, as if they encountered something incredibly terrifying..."

"You... you know, there aren’t many things that can terrify us demons..."

"So... so it’s being spread in the plane that you want to devour the demons’ power as quickly as possible to recover your strength, to facilitate your escape, and that you’d brutally torture the summoned ones after summoning..."

"Then... then many Lords, fearing they would be summoned, fled to the subsidiary planes..."

"Without Lords to replenish new soldiers, the army... the army naturally dwindled in numbers with your summoning."

Azazel:...

"These cowardly weaklings! Useless fools! Bastards! Don’t they know to capture some wild demons to sacrifice to me, instead of being summoned?!"

"Torture? They’re afraid of torture? Do they know the kind of torture I’ve suffered?! Huh?!"

"While I was being fooled by those long-eared ones, where were they?! Clearly, they were enjoying food and servitude in Hell!"

He roared in anger.

As He spoke, He snatched the melon handed by the trembling Demon Servant and bit into it ferociously.

"Not sweet! You useless thing! Go grab some sweet ones back!"

He turned and roared at the Demon Servant.

The Demon Servant fled out of the palace, stumbling as he went.

Listening to the Demon Lord’s roar and watching the terrified demon servant leave, the Demon Lord felt a bit aggrieved:

"You... you never said sacrificing demons to you would also work..."

Moreover... moreover, you seem to be living quite comfortably...

The Demon Lord cautiously glanced around the magnificent palace.

Of course, he muttered the last sentence quietly in his heart, daring not to speak it out loud.

"You understand nothing! If I could convey messages, would I still be stuck here? I would have told the gods about Yggdrasil’s revival, letting them tear each other apart!"

Azazel said in frustration.

His expression was one of deep sorrow.

And as He saw the Demon Lord’s cautious yet envious glance around the palace, His mood seemed to improve again.

"What, do you like it?"

Azazel suddenly asked with a smile.

The Demon Lord was slightly stunned and instinctively replied:

"I... I like it... oh no, I don’t like it..."

Halfway through speaking, He quickly shook his head.

Seventh Demon God Azazel despised others coveting His possessions.

However, Azazel did not get angry.

He looked at the Demon Lord with a meaningful glance, revealing a playful cold smile:

"No rush, you’ll soon have your own."

After He said this, He lightly waved His hand, sending the bewildered new Lord into his new home.

After sending the new worker to his post, the smile on Azazel’s face quickly faded again.

What replaced it was a face full of worry.

"The war of gods and demons..."

He sighed, His gaze becoming more and more conflicted.

There are many demons in the Abyss, and the ones summoned to form an army were only a part of them.

However, it was this part that could resist the main forces of the gods’ Prayer Merger Army.

Now, with the main force severely weakened, the remaining unorganized rabble will likely struggle to gather their strength to resist the invaders.

In the end, the plane will likely be divided and broken...

Although Azazel doesn’t believe the gods can completely conquer Hell, nor does He think they can enter the place where He hides the source of the plane...

But while the gods cannot, the opportunistic Sixth Demon God Belusabab might just be able to.

The thought of His defeated former subordinate possibly exploiting the situation, plundering His army, and seeking His plane’s source made Azazel increasingly uneasy.
