Chapter 1092: Chapter 736: Where Are Azazel’s Demons?

"It has begun."

Watching the rolling clouds in the sky outside the window, the First Demon God Helair said in a deep voice.

He stood before the window, hands clasped behind him.

In the line of sight, there were sacred beams piercing the sky.

Those beams were far on the horizon, tearing through the firmament, casting a golden light upon the distant horizon.

Golden dots descended densely from the sky, diving into the dark world.

Those were countless Angels and Prayers.

The demons in the Plane World watched the distant light in the sky, restless and fearful.

Even from a long distance, they could sense that faint and grand sacred aura.

However, as he watched the army devoted to the Divine descending into the Hell Plane, the gaze of the First Demon God Helair gradually deepened.

The light was far from the core areas of the plane, merely at the edges of the seventh-layer plane.

In his perception, the edge of the plane had already erupted in a battle of epic scale.

Though the seven layers of Hell vary in size and are not entirely vertically aligned, the core regions are ultimately connected in a linear fashion.

Therefore, for the Divine entities to attack all seven Hell Planes simultaneously, apart from the first plane which allows a comprehensive assault, the other six must be approached from the plane’s edges.

This has been the tacit understanding between the Divine and demons in every divine-demon war.

In past wars, the Divine would first launch full-scale attacks and later focus their efforts on a significant advantage in one plane, and then concentrate forces to capture that Hell Plane.

Previously, this main battlefield core plane was often the first-layer Hell, which was closest to the upper world, and the seventh-layer Hell, which was the most expansive and had the most subsidiary planes.

However, the army of the Divine cannot completely occupy the Hell Plane.

Because the deeper one goes into the Hell Plane, the stronger the Power of the Abyss becomes.

Unless the Divine themselves arrive, relying solely on the army of the Prayers, it would be very difficult to sustain.

Moreover, descending into the Abyss carries the risk of falling, so... the Divine at most can only reclaim some planes that have not completely fallen into the Abyss, pulling them out barely.

Then, after a stalemate with demons for years, both parties would retreat.

The Abyss cannot be completely eradicated; it can only be partially stopped from consuming a world and weaken the power of Abyss Demons as much as possible.

Only legendary Divine Power might destroy the Abyss.

Only by reaching greatness, becoming a higher level of being, can the Divine Power transform further, achieving absolute suppression of the Abyss’s power.

This is a fact the high-ranking Divine understood since the first divine-demon war began...

Of course, the Demon Gods bestowed by the Abyss understand this fact as well.

As spokespersons for the Abyss, their goal is to drag all upper-level planes into the Abyss, abyssalizing the entire Segis World...

And precisely because they know the Divine cannot truly break through the Hell Plane, even seeing the endless Prayer Army has already descended on his plane, Helair’s gaze remains calm.

"Everyone, have the fortresses on each of your planes been built?"

He turned around and looked at the other figures in the hall.

Those were the other Abyss Demon Gods.

They continued to sit around the demon round table, but no longer in solid bodies, instead as illusory black shadows.

With the war already begun, the demon gods had departed, leaving only their shadows for communication here.

"Of course, except for Azazel, that sealed fool, the fortresses are ready on every Hell Plane."

The Second Demon God Samael sneered.

"Then proceed as planned."

Helair said solemnly.

"The Divine will not expect that this time we have also compelled demons to build dense fortresses. When their offense on various planes faces resistance, they will surely turn their main attack towards the less defended first-layer plane."

"Belusabab, when the Divine switch their attack to the first-layer Hell Plane, you lead the demon army of the second-layer Hell, along with reinforcement troops from subsidiary planes of each layer, to assist in defense on the first-layer plane and stall the Divine’s main forces there."

Helair looked at one of the black shadows, ordering expressionlessly.

Upon hearing Helair’s words, the consciousness avatars of the other demon gods cast teasing glances at that shadow.

That shadow snorted coldly, somewhat dissatisfied, and responded:

"Helair."

"You bastard, are you trying to send my army to be cannon fodder for your attack on Segis World?!"

"You are overthinking, Belusabab."

Helair shook his head.

He paused, looked at the sky outside the window, and said in a deep voice:

"Although Azazel is weaker, his demon army is considerable. As the demon closest to the upper planes, he has received many fallen intelligent beings..."

"If you are to stall the Divine, wouldn’t it be a good idea to make use of his demon army?"

Upon hearing this, the shadow’s gaze softened a bit.

But soon, he sneered again and continued:

"How will the spoils be divided? Don’t tell me you bastards will honor your word and give me the best regions after attacking Segis World."

This time, before Helair could answer, the Fifth Demon God Leviathan spoke:

"Belusabab, haven’t you always wanted to control the first-layer plane?"

Upon hearing Leviathan’s words, Belusabab’s gaze flickered slightly.
