Chapter 752: Chapter 782: Can You Do It?

He stood up, walked towards the door of the room, but just as she reached the door, he suddenly said, "Your yogurt is a bit too sweet. Next time, buy a milder flavor."

"..." She looked up at the sky speechlessly. What on earth was that about!

As soon as he left the room, she quickly locked the door, then took out her clothes to change out of her pajamas. When she came out of the room, she saw Kyle Kinston standing in front of a wall, staring at something on it.

"Did someone related to your uncle once live in this house?" he abruptly asked.

"Ah." She was startled to find that he was looking at the graffiti on the wall, the heart with the characters ’Yuan’ and ’Feng’.

"’Feng’ is your uncle, right? Then who is ’Yuan’?" he asked.

Mabel Quinn was somewhat surprised that Kyle could see the graffiti and link so much from it, "It’s someone my uncle loved back in the day, but later disappeared," she said.

She looked at the time; it was almost 11 o’clock. She’d really slept long today. Fortunately, there were still plenty of ingredients in the fridge, saving her a trip to buy groceries.

Mabel didn’t ask Kyle what he wanted to eat. Anyway, she made one portion for herself, so she might as well make one for him too. Their current post-breakup relationship was not suited for this kind of cohabitation.

When the dishes were served, Kyle started eating on his own, not needing any invitation from her. Mabel couldn’t help but ask, "How long do you plan on staying here anyway?"

"Until you fall in love with me again and are willing to return to my side," he said.

"And what if I never fall in love with you again and am unwilling to return to your side?" she retorted irritably.

"Will you?" He questioned back, his phoenix eyes slightly lifting, his gaze shifting, seemingly carrying a kind of magic and deterrent force that made her feel like her voice was stuck in her throat, unable to speak.

She abruptly turned her head away, avoiding his eyes, and only then did she feel her breathing became somewhat smoother, "I... will." She said this, both to him and to herself.

"Do you know what I was thinking while watching you sleep earlier?" he suddenly said.

She pursed her lips without answering.

He chuckled lightly, "I was thinking, if I take you back to Falling City, confine you within the Kinston Family, and let you see no one but me, would it be better? Would I be the only person you could possibly love then?"

His voice, like the melody of a cello in the night, was low and alluring, yet the meaning behind his words made her hair stand on end.

"Are you... joking?" She could only feel her lips dry.

"Do you think it’s a joke? Remember what I once said? The Kinston Family’s feelings are absolute possession," he murmured.

Yes, he had once said those words to her, but... "Kyle Kinston, if you really did such a thing, it would only make me hate you," she said. "If I wanted to love someone, no matter where I was confined, no matter if I could see them or not, I would still love them. But if I didn’t want to love, then even if I saw them face-to-face every day, I wouldn’t love them."
