The developments didn't make any sense to Luna who had only an idea of what angels were supposed to be, but her scientific curiosity prompted her to keep an open mind and let the facts guide her. She knew about angels of the old traditions, though most of the texts that made it to her had been redacted by the government which is why there weren't any reliable sources of information.

She tried to discuss matters with Nika who had always displayed a vast knowledge in western traditions since she was a religious person, but it didn't pay out since Nika remained the same airhead she had always been and the only helpful piece of information she could provide was to point Luna to the Vatican where they kept the original texts she wanted to study, though whether or not they would be willing to let Luna study in their precinct was an entirely different matter.

"I will... cross that street when I get there." She said.

"It's bridge..." Nika corrected her, but Luna showed no interest in the idiom whatsoever.

With that out of the way, the awkwardness in the group grew in intensity as they attempted to figure out which side they were in. Things were easy for Uriel and Luna since they didn't want nor need to pick a side to further their research, just as they were easy for Nika who would follow Uriel no matter which side he took.

But the same couldn't be said for Bella, Alice, Mark, Sam and Hathaway since the new pieces of information changed the very way they saw the world.

"If you're an angel, then it must mean you're one of the good guys, right?" Alice probed.

"How would I know? I'm just me!" Hathaway shook his head, feeling guilty for his previous plan to murder an innocent man to safeguard his family's secret.

"That would be the same as declaring that the piece of garbage over there is on the good side, and I refuse to accept it." Bella said while pointing at Sam who didn't have any rational argument to deny her accusation.

"But, if humanity did turn against the one angel who tried to help them, doesn't that mean humans are the bad guys?" Asked Mark.

"You're only saying that because you're half cryptid. By the way, when are you going to get rid of that parasyte?" Uriel looked at Mark like the piece of trash he considered him to be.

"If I sided with you guys..." Mark started, but was soon cut short by Uriel.

"I wouldn't hire you even if you paid to join the company."

"What about me? Would you hire me?" Asked Hathaway.

"I don't think that would be wise, if you're really an angel, then you should be the one leading us and not the other way around." Alice shook her head.

"Us as in humans? Are you speaking on behalf on the entire fucking human race now?" Bella addressed the nastiest look towards the young huntress.

"It doesn't matter anyway, since Hathaway is filthy rich no amount of money would ever buy his loyalty. Look, there's only one thing I'm certain of, whatever it is you guys want to do is absolutely none of my business and I don't want any part in it. We all came here expecting a fight, but there's no reason for that either. If we were to fight one another...

let's just say no one would win that fight." Uriel said and turned to leave, but Hathaway stopped him.

"You're not going to tell anyone, right... about this cave and all? If people were to find about my family sacrificing people to turn me into an angel, then my company would be screwed."

"If you want to know if your secret is safe with me, then... what do you offer?" Uriel rubbed two fingers together in the gesture widely known as 'cash'.

"Talk about buying loyalty," Hathaway chuckled. "I could transfer you some money, but not here."

"Then I'll take the spear." Uriel replied with an unbreakable poker face to prevent them from seeing just how interested he was in the artifact, especially after noticing that he would be able to store it inside his museum.

"No way, that's a family heirloom!"

"One that you lost to cryptids apparently. Besides, by taking it with me I'll make sure no one is using this dungeon structure to perform human sacrifices to become stronger."

"He does have a point." Nika nodded.

"So, you're saying this structure can still be used?" Bella asked to which Uriel nodded. She then fell pensive for a moment and then spoke again. "I'll fetch it."

No one had any reason to doubt her words or suspect anything, but being able to see the future Alice saw Bella grabbing the spear and flying away before anyone could react. Her first instinct was to warn everyone, but after hearing that the structure could still be used she was reluctant to let it fall in Uriel's hands as she thought he wouldn't hesitate for a moment about using it.

Needless to say, despite Uriel being dismissive about human life to say the least, killing innocent people was where he drew the line, but Alice didn't have the time to ponder about such matters when the present caught up with her vision of the future and Bella disappeared into the night just like in her vision sending everyone but her into a confusion that lasted for a full minute.

"Do you think she's coming back?" Asked Uriel to the people who knew her better, receiving a murderous glare from Uriel in return.

"She can fly wherever she wants and has the key to a place that can make her more powerful by killing people. All she needs to do to become the most powerful hunter on earth is to lay low and then come back with offerings. More importantly, why did you let her go? Aren't you supposed to see the future?"

"Offerings... that reminds me of my friend. We need to bring him something to thank him for sending help." Luna said to Uriel.
