Dual Cultivation: I Summon Villainesses of Mythic Era-Chapter 35: Ling’er is in danger?
* Heir Xuan Residence, Domain of the Immortal Families.*
Seated in lotus position on his ice jade pedestal, the young master displayed absolute serenity. As a Law Master at Peak level, he had reached an intuitive understanding of the laws that govern this world, a crucial step in his mortal cultivation before facing the Heavenly Tribulations.
With a thought, he made the translucent interface of his system appear.
"System, give me the clue about the Executor," he murmured, his voice resounding devoid of emotion.
A mechanical beep rang in his mind, followed by the display of bluish characters.
[Ding! 100 luck points have been used !]
[Ding ! The Dao Executor is located in the Lower Realms : Purple Mist !]
[Note : The Dao is actively protecting the Executor. The system will not be able to detect him directly in this zone.]
BaiShe adjusted his Sage monocle.
’ That is exactly what I thought. The celestial will is already deploying its shields to protect its new champion,’ he thought with disdain.
’ That makes learning the family art even more imperative. Without the Third Eye, I would be walking blind in this Purple Mist realm.’
The Third Eye Art was a Divine rank technique exclusive to the Xuan family lineage.
This spiritual art allowed its user to transcend common vision to detect the most subtle Qi signatures, analyze the abilities of his adversaries and even probe their mental and physical states.
Legends said that Patriarch Xuan Feng, thanks to the total mastery of this art coupled with his Crown of Wisdom, could even glimpse the threads of the future.
BaiShe closed his physical eyes, concentrating his intention on the point located between his eyebrows. For the moment, only the Temple of the Dao possessed clear knowledge of the Executor’s identity, a celestial protection measure aimed at preventing the Devourer from striking before the chosen one reached a dominating level of power.
The sound of footsteps interrupted his meditation.
*Toc. Toc.*
"You may enter," declared BaiShe, his voice instantly regaining that affable softness that fooled his entourage so well.
The door opened on a servant who bowed deeply, not daring to meet the heir’s gaze.
"Young Master Xuan... As you had requested, I have monitored the movements of the residence," she began in a hesitant voice. "Lady Xuan Ling has just left the domain."
BaiShe nodded, a benevolent smile forming on his face. "Good, very good."
He marked a short pause, seeming to reflect on his sister’s well-being.
"The times are troubled, and the threat of the Devourer weighs on us all," he resumed with false concern. "Thank you for telling a few Nascent Soul level guards to follow her discreetly. Let them watch over her and protect her against any unforeseen danger.".
"At your command, Young Master," replied the servant before quickly withdrawing.
As soon as the door was closed, BaiShe’s face became an ice mask again. ’ My beloved golden egg hen, I am making sure that you can never escape me.

The luminous chariot cleaved the clouds at a dizzying speed, leaving behind a trail of sparkling Qi. Inside, Xuan Ling remained motionless, her golden gaze fixed on the landscape rushing past. Her hands, joined on her knees, trembled imperceptibly.
’ I can no longer bear to be in the same palace as him,’ she thought, a wave of disgust tightening her heart.
Since her regression, every smile from BaiShe seemed to her like a poisoned blade. She remembered with atrocious clarity her previous life, the way she had idolized him, only to end up betrayed and coldly killed by the one she loved.
She now knew that behind this facade of narcissistic scholar hid the true Devourer who fed on the very essence of beings. And even Lin Feng had paid the price for confronting him.
" I am very afraid that if he knows I know his true identity, he will kill me..." She swallowed.
She was currently heading to a solemn funeral ceremony in memory of a high-ranking disciple who had recently fallen. As a member of a legendary Immortal Family, Ling’er thought she had nothing to fear during this journey. Her status alone was normally enough to freeze the blood of the boldest bandit in the Upper Realms.
’I do not need guards, nor his false protection,’ she thought proudly, unaware that BaiShe’s men were already following her at a distance. ’I am talented and as long as I become the heir of the Supreme Dao Sect, My destiny will no longer be his toy.’
The chariot then began the crossing of the border of the Deserted Lands. As its name indicated, this vast expanse of rocks and dust was devoid of any civilized life. It was a no-man’s land where the law of the strongest was the only rule, a known lair for bandits and renegade cultivators who had fled the justice of the great sects.
Suddenly, a shrill alarm sounded within the chariot.
"What !?" exclaimed Ling’er, straightening up abruptly.
Before she could activate her Qi, an attack of brute power violently struck the vehicle. The shock was so brutal that the jade protection formations shattered into pieces. The luminous chariot swayed dangerously before being projected toward the ground in a shrill whistle.
"An ambush... here ?" she murmured, her golden eyes shining as she put herself on guard.
She instantly understood that her attackers cared little for her name or her lineage. In the Deserted Lands, prey remained prey, and the Xuan family chariot was too tempting a target to be ignored.
’ Where could they be, are they too stupid to recognize their mistakes ?’
She prepared for combat. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

The smoking carcass of the luminous chariot rested in the center of a shallow crater, surrounded by ochre dust that struggled to settle. Xuan Ling had extricated herself from it at the last moment, her golden robe now stained with soot and superficial blood.
She straightened up, firmly gripping her ebony spear, while about fifty silhouettes emerged from the surrounding rocks.
The air was saturated with raw murderous intent. Ling’er instantly assessed the threat.
These men were not simple bandits; each emanated a spiritual pressure corresponding at least to the Spiritual Core stage. At their head, three individuals remained in the background, observing the scene.
"Their auras are oppressive, they are undoubtedly superior to a Nascent Soul..." She murmured to herself.
They were Law Masters.
"A little princess of the Xuan family, lost so far from her palace..." launched the bandit leader, a scarred man whose earthy Qi eroded the ground under his feet.
"Your chariot is a gold mine, but your death... it must be even more precious."
Ling’er did not flinch, although her heart was pounding. As a Medium level Spiritual Core, she knew the odds were against her. Yet, a flame of defiance burned in her golden eyes.
’Does he think he can scare me ?’ she thought bitterly. ’I have already known death at the hands of a monster far more terrifying than this.’
"If you want my death, come and get it. But know that the price will be paid in blood," she retorted in a glacial voice.
